thanks for the reply, tried repair no joy , system time == ok My "other server" at a different location is working fine , yes I think it is starting to look like something local There were some windows server 2020 updates today , wonder if that caused this ?

Intel is slightly faster but ............. I would go AMD as at least there is an upgrade path for the future, whereas with Intel you would have to buy new mobo + RAM + CPU

I like to do things the simple and efficient way, so with my games including DCS I use joystick gremlin (only thing bound in DCS is axis) In gremlin I create button press to keyboard press bindings on all my buttons, so for example that means that button X on my device sends a keyboard press g to windows means that this specific button does gear up / gear down for all DCS aircraft, makes my life simpler and the same button does the same function on each DCS aircraft

Well if my tutorial or virpil joystick ID tool or Joypro cannot help then the only solution would be to plug stuff into the same USB port it was in originally to stop this issue As I said earlier the GUID's are controlled by windows

If u run DCS_updater.exe --quiet update from a DOS window or batch file it will update without user intervention

When you host a public server it get added to the list , every time someone goes to the MP server screen they will get the list of servers from ED and then ........ ping them to work out the ping for each server from their location, that is what you are seeing

if you are good with notepad++ and search and replace functions therein extract out the mission file itself from the MIZ file, open in notepad++ , search for the hidden line and update it to turn it off save the mission file and drop it back into the MIZ file

I just wrote a script that grabs real time METAR data from the internet and injects it into the miz file adjusts the time and then starts up the DCS server so you never know what weather you might get .... also means it might be un-flyable weather but you gotta roll that dice

connect in your new drive and use some drive cloning software eg acronis or clonezilla and copy everything over onto your new drive will save time having to re-install windows and or copy / backup stuff
