Bollox, she wont forget, she'll hold it against me for every bloody handbag and piece of girl clart she buys from there on!
-
I told her I need a system too. I reckoned a £1000 all in, but now it is like the £1500 I assumed I would need.
-
Now I have to break this to my wife and watch her face drop.
-
I would hope you are right. Don't get me wrong this isn't that I don't have the money, but my expectations of cost where a fair chunk lower, and I only had a second class ticket on the hype train. I was kind of edging on OR being £350, and Vive £500. I am certainly going to wait for the Vive pricing before I splash out. I bet HTC were wiping the sweat from their brows, shouting "phew", and then laughing their tits off when the saw the $599 dollar price tag.
-
Who does these conversion rates $600 = £410, where has the other £90 come from? UK customers get arse raped again. I was expecting Vive to cost £500 not Rift. but I get two games (that I cannot choose) and a xBox controller (to go with the one I already have) for the additional £200. Not to mention potential for £100 VAT charge + £30 shipping. Oculus can go forth and multiply (**** off in other words).

TM WARTHOG Force Feedback?
DoctorStrop replied to whiteside's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I've been looking into this too, and I found nothing current, unless you spend thousands for a yoke, or make you own. https://vs3.irisdynamics.com/product/idl-20001/ -
So, today I dropped the suggested £1000 price tag on my wife for every thing I need for VR + PC, seemed pretty safe, no rage or eyebrows etc. So tomorrow I shall tell her £3500, and sulk for a few days when it's completely out of the question. Then I will act like a big boy and all sensible, I wont get one, but then a few after that, I will tell her the actual £1500 that I reckon I will most likely need, and hopefully she'll be like, "WOW, go for it!!!"

Thanks for the script. I got it working fine on 1.5.2. It was fun adding a SAM battery at the end of the runway to test the re-spawn :D I am hoping to use this with GCICAP for full air cover.

Just a thought on from that, you can have client wing men in groups now, so you might also want to use "part of group inside zone" condition, and have all your clients in groups. I think it's easier to apply waypoints and weapons to a group, as you can set up your group lead (for weapons/paint etc.), and simply add more craft to the flight once you're happy.
-
I don't know if you can create a script for that. Otherwise a tedious way would be to set the condition for each player aircraft by using pilot name of the player unit, against the "Unit inside zone" condition, then "or", then next pilot etc., for each appropriate trigger zone.

nice :D

...also do you have a wife that needs IT support, the instance you join a MP server ? :D
-
Thanks for feedback. It seems like it might be down to the server I am using. Seems like some servers running mods can mess things up. Radio works fine on unscripted servers. I will contact the admin if it happens again.

Thanks for your reply's yes I do use engine govs, also I rarely hit MAX. yes (nearly) all the time except when I have them set to ice thanks for confirming, and the advice, maybe I will have to fly a little bit more gently over Nevada. Would be good to still know if the hydraulics are freezing at that is the warn each time.

Hi all, Anyone know if the radios are broken for 1.5? I have had occasion where I can call ATC to depart, but cannot contact ATC for return, without any changes being made to Radio settings. Thanks Andy

good shout then jojo!

Come on mate, my dad told me that one, and I'm 42. Oh yeah, and count me in please.

Difficult to tell. Interesting that the paint scheme is slightly different on each, particularly can tell from the right wings.

.... and found this at Nellis... https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@36.2265518,-115.0512056,152m/data=!3m1!1e3.

Thanks for your reply. I checked take off weight, and my configuration is approx. 75% of take off weight, so it's not that, but you're implying things like that are simulated.

Hi, I can fly Ka-50 fairly well over Georgia, however when flying over Nevada I keep suffering engine failures, usually the right engine goes first, and it's the hydraulics that causes it. I tend to fly low, as A) I'm not too good with counter measures, and B) I often have to land somewhere quick as I have a young kid that automatically starts needing me whenever I start DCS up. My guesses: - - altitude? It happens more often the closer I am to Groom lake. Also I get loads of limit warnings when I am climbing over the mountains. The failures happen a decent amount of time after the warnings. - dust? I fly low over sand. Dust filter doesn't help. - cold? I like setting my maps to winter or spring and about 5c temp. I have dust filter on and not ice. Does dust effect the Ka-50 in game? Do the hydraulics freeze up? Am I missing something in the pre-flight set up?

Question on Desired Heading/Desired Track

If I'm in doubt I click stuff and hope. It's not like I die for real (pride maybe) when I crash :D -
Question on Desired Heading/Desired Track
DoctorStrop replied to dburne's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
There's a 3way toggle switch underneath the NAV toggle on the RHS, can't remember its name. Set it to middle setting for gyro. Had same puzzle until, I flipped that, now DT will allow AP to follow route. Don't forget to select waypoint 1 on the navigation panel buttons.
