Hi all, I'm having trouble with the ILSN mode in the F15C. I have checked in the manual (page 93) and on landing approach there should be Localizer and Glide slope bars, and I only get the steering index. I have tried asking on the BUG-LIST thread, but have had no answers. There are no results from searching this matter. Is this a bug, something that has not been implemented due to FC 3 being still beta, or am I doing something wrong. The airfield I am using is Sochi-Adler, and I am calling the tower for approach permission, and pressing 1 to show ILSN mode in the HUD. Any help or info would be appreciated. Andy

Or even a CA level carrier with CA level +/or player aircraft on deck....

Hi all, I posted a couple of pages back about the ILS on the f15c. Should there be a locaiser bar and glide slope indicator on the HUD? I'm sure there was on FC2. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Regards Andy

Is the localiser bar missing on the F15c?

There was this thread a few days ago... http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=98830 I don't think it was resolved though.

Here's to hoping we get it today!!!

I get a Track IR issue where it zooms in slightly when I move my head to the centre position. The deadzone for this is so small, that it makes the screen judder when my head moves out of the deadzone and back in. I have looked in the TIR settings and I cannot work out how to stop the zoom. I have TIR3 Pro with clip, and am using TIR5 software. Any suggestions?

Preliminary DCS 1.2.3 change log
DoctorStrop replied to Dejjvid's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Some civ servs do get Crimbo off :music_whistling:... 1hr 5 mins to go. Anyway I'd soon be frustrated at work not being able to play, rather than sat at home not being able to play (because it's shagged) -
Can you hover without auto hover? I couldn't land until I learned how to hover manually, if that makes sense.
-
Where did you find out about 1.2.3? I saw sometihing about CA getting updated, but must have missed the rest.

COOOOL... What happens if the bird drops a turd? -
Direct = LAN: use 192 Internet = WAN: dont use 192, use WAN ip and forward ports. You need to read about local area networks to be honest, and try to be able to see each others PC on your network before attempting DCS hosting. It's nothing like playing L4D online.
-
Definately I would say. Router connects to internet. Computer connects locally to router. If you connect direct then you use the 192 address, and you dont need to forward the traffic from your router to the ports.
-
 You need to find your WAN IP address on your router http://www.mywanip.com/

What's the first three numbers in your IP address that you're telloing your fellow pilot?

I agree with you. I don't think ED give enough advice on these sort of issues. There should be a wiki with tips on how to get your game working when you have problems. While you get a lot of great advice from fellow forum members, you sometimes get a bit of grief if you're gisgruntled with the game. Everyone seems to be rolling back to the previous version. You can do this by creating a copy of your DCS World short cut and changing the target in the short cut properties to this; "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" update 1.2.2.7286

Also look at Wings Of Prey WW2. It flies really nice, has plenty of aircraft, and has great ground detail. It takes a bit of setting up especially with the joystick, and view settings, but worth it. There is a free demo which gives you an idea of whether it will run on your machine, and whether or not your Dad will like it. I got it (and the demo) from Steam for about £10. For me it's bug free, and your rig should have no problems. IL2 is possibly more realistic, but Wings of Prey is possibly more fun. -

Before you buy any flight sim software check out the bugs page on the Sims respective forum. DCS world is hit and miss on stability. Personally I have issues with multi player in the current version, but it was awesome before that and there's no release date on a fix. I also use iL2 cliffs of Dover which is WW2 so all props at the moment. It just had a huge patch released which fixed loads of issues. Both have good communities. -
Something that helps me, is checking the warning panel on the right in front of the CDU (still noob myself, and I can't for the life of me think what it's called). I always check that all the lights are out before I taxi. Usually the APU is still on, and I haven't turned on the anti skid! Still feels like I'm doing a proper start, because I'm only referencing objects in the pit.

I have the following settings, with no mods, and none of the files directly edited. Texture = high Scenes = medium Civ traffic = off Water = low Vis range = medium Heat blur = off Shadows = low Res = 1680 * 1050 Ratio = 16:10 Monitors = 1 Instrument res = 512 MSAA = off HDR = off Clutter = 150 Trees = 3063 Preload = 40923 Disable aero = checked Tree shadows = unchecked Vsync = unchecked Full screen = checked Pit shadows = unchecked TSSAA = unchecked I'm getting about 30 - 50fps depending on altitude. I hope you can find something there. If there is anything, I would sespect it would be a setting I have switched off. Andy

Oddly I have an antique pair of 275 gtx in SLI mode, which are far behind your cards and I was getting no drop in frame rate for cluster bombs. I often F6 to watch these go in. Some of my settings are reduced to allow my legacy pair to cope, so possibly your issue could be in one of those settings. Let me know if you want me to post the settings.

Thanks for the info, that kind of puts my mind to rest that it could be something I am doing wrong server end.
