  1. I've completed further tests. I believe your assessment is correct. Its definitely Regurgitating Bird Syndrome. (LoL) Seriously now though, what I am seeing is the blade stall you describe, occurring as a consequence of nose down commands at speed. The rate of roll seems directly proportional to the vigour applied to nose down pitch. Not a bug (didn't think it was) just a little shocking. Cheers
  2. Thank you for the detailed reply. Very much appreciated. I wish I could blame my inability to decipher the RBS acronym on booze.......or turkey. Your explanation does make perfect sense of what's happening. Strange that it does not happen during a nose down "return to target" pedal turn. Accelerating downhill through 120 knts There's no discernible harsh left roll or pitch up. Accepting the fact that I demanding nose up pitch rather than pushing over. As you described the push is probably causing the roll. Lots of complicated things occurring. Iraqi map runway quick start. So the weights etc are constant. Best wishes.
  3. 120 kts maybe? I will repeat a few times if exact numbers are required. Embarrass me now and tell me what RBS is other than something caused by too much turkey? I'm not surprised. I recall this being a problem way back in development. I hadn't noticed it for a while.
  4. Level flight 100kts. Entering a dive causes a hard left roll as speed increases. Normal behaviour or wip? I dont recall this prior to patch. Otherwise the Apache feels more stable. Less twitchy.
  5. Thanks Polychop. It's a fabulous module.
  6. Thanks, I will just ignore the fake scoring. I experienced similar hiccups with one of the WW2 warbird campaigns, but will try as you suggested. Don't replay after skipping. Cheers.
  7. I've reached M12, but before moving on decided to return and complete the handful of missions I skipped (due to bugs). Today I completed M2 successfully, 100% no bugs, but the result was not recorded on the missions list. It remains "skipped", score 0. Normal? Cheers
  8. Spoiler. Yes. A small copse near to the target buildings houses a very sneaky aaa I found this myself by pure bad luck as I engaged the 1st mortar and flew right over the trees hiding the aaa. Tail rotor, engine 1, gone.......

    Flight HMD

Sincerely hoping I'm not alone with this issue. At all but the most claustrophobic distances from the flight instruments, numbers such as speed, altitude and rad altitude are all but impossible to see. The usual glance down now requires a zoom in as well. Even on a 43" 4k monitor. I know it's not accurate, but a very simple "assist" that can be used in the similar way to current hmd in the hornet or viper. Switched on and off as required. All it needs is very basic info. Speed, Rad/alt, maybe a rate of descent carrat? Purists will probably hate it. But I believe it would be used by many. I accept upcoming automations within flight modelling may render this request pointless. All the best
  10. I've managed to shut it down, but it took 3 days for the rotors to stop spinning.... No brakes. Eeeek
  11. Very generous of you to share your memories so freely. Many thanks.
  12. I think thsts probably where my confusion originated. That inspiring footage of the British medivac crew rushing to extract and save a soldier (who tragically dies). There's moment during start up where the pilot pulls a rotor brake in the roof of the cockpit. It's a mighty looking lever. I was expecting at least a switch........
  13. Thank you kindly.
  14. Scanning through the manual, did I miss it - or is there no rotor brake switch or lever on the 47f? In anticipation of an expert or sme reply....... Thank you.
  15. I need an eyesight test. I read Bignewy's first line as 'Dear DCS Pilots and euthanasiaists'. Help me.
  16. I feel the pain. Off from Friday for a few weeks as well. It wasn't planned to coincide with the release of the 47f, but as release dates came and went, I thought by chance or luck it would work out in my favour. Clearly not.
  17. Very nice work. Thank you.
  18. Sounds to me as if you're already very knowledgeable regarding flight assist modes. I've been reading about the chinook a lot more since ED announced it. The impression I get with regard to things like dafcs is they make flying the F version 'easy'. So much so that instructor pilots transitioning new recruits were noticing a drop in piloting skills. It's stability and assist for approach & hover modes reduce the flying to a 'bump trim' affair. Allowing brown out landings with (relative) ease. It is increadible technology. Getting this correct is no doubt very complicated to simulate and simultaneously reproduce on the mfds, (which I'm sure you know) become the pilots pure reference point as they go "inside only" No excuses made here. I'm happy to see how things are before all the toys arrive, which in all honesty could make things feel a little sterile and flat. Happy to be involved in EA testing. All the best.....
  19. In this case phatter is better. I want that version, but we will never see it.
  20. That's some amazing work. So fresh I can smell the kevlar.
  21. I believe they plan to do just that. This year.
  22. I'm very happy that we are (allegedly) approaching the final "weeks TM" before the release of the KW. It looks really sweet in the teaser trailer, trailer teaser thing. More importantly than just looking the part, former Kiowa & Apache pilot 'Casmo' has described the flight model as solid if not the best. Good work Polychop. Looking forward to this.

    Fat Cow

I suppose the fat cow does not incorporate those chonky looking fat external tanks as well?. Is that an option on our version of the 47F or only relevant to a different model? Hey it probably floats better......
  24. Great news. Very much looking forward to this.
  25. I had to give you a like just for the "potato banger". It gave me a giggle during an otherwise ordinary evening.
