  1. +1. Would be great to have Jester working in a superbug.
  2. Anyone else experiencing left roll during wings level pull? Occurs during pull from level flight to vertical. When the hud tape reaches about +50 degrees slow left roll begins. Pulling over the top results in an offset attitude where rather than looping, an offset turn is pulled during the loop. Yes I'm adding control inputs to try and keep level wings during pull but the roll seems excessive. At first I thought it was my controls. So I set a massive roll dead zone. Brought up the on screen input indicator confirming no roll input. Still happened. Not convinced its a bug. Anything to do with the fuel imbalance issue?
  3. Have you tried TMS right?
  4. Is it possible in DCS to have audio feeding from two separate sources? For example is it possible to have just the comms audio (atc, wingmen, awacs etc) feed into your headphones whilst other effects are pumped through an external speaker (surround) set up. Sorry if this has been answered before. Best regards all.
  5. We are real hungry brother.......
  6. Like a fool I saw 46 viewing the Viper thread and thought something special was happening. I would've been happy with a start up video. Darn it. As for the release date, are we not expecting Jabbers, Redkite, 104th Maverick, et al, to release their "This Rocks" streams at least 14 days before we get it. I have no problem with that by the way, but next week for full EA seems a little hopeful.
  7. Agreed. An 'A' version Apache is overdue.
  8. I say it looks good. My fear was the feeling of the ufc not projecting forward enough and the MFDs not sitting back. The 'other' sim (though old) is guilty of that in my opinion. Wags and ED look to have done a stellar job. Never sat in the viper. This looks like the closest I will get. Looks great.

I read/heard that you put in a bit of throttle then take the same(ish) amount off. That takes you forward. A bit off then a bit on takes you back. Juggle those and you hold position. Simplistic I know, but multiple small on/off pulses (with a small pause to assess the effect) offer finer control. You can see this anytime you see one of those in cockpit vids where formation is flown. The pilots throttle never stops moving. That said AAR is definitely easier in VR for me. Cheers & best of luck.
  10. I love these pictures. I am more hyped for this aircraft than any of the previous. So this is not criticism, just observation. I would be really pleased if anyone who has operated the Viper in any form (or even sat in one) could offer insight. The cockpit image above shows a wonderful perspective that sims currently don't seem to grasp that well. That being just how cramped the f16 appears. The (icp?) Panel and hud seem to be far closer to the pilot than any of the other instrumens. I've seen some images (side view of pilot canopy open pre flight) which illustrate this clearly. I'm not a pilot irl. And I know that artistic practicality dictate just how far you can bend reality to locate items in 2D or 3D space. What methods are ED using to measure the actual cockpit spatially to transfer that into the virtual world.
  11. I'm interested in how the features implied will impact performance. I love the idea of deck crew etc but fear the game becoming a slide show on all but the most high end hardware. If a 2080ti becomes a requirement, then it's upgrade time - but Thats a big ask just to have some dude waving his arms.
  12. Are ED going to follow in Heatblurs steps and produce some Viper merch? I'm totally up for underpants made from that ejection seat fur.
  13. Holy poop. I had no concept it was that long. I really thought it was about 2 months as well. Do you remember how many vids wags squeezed in? One would assume with EA allegedly November the time available for academic vids is reduced somewhat.
  14. FSSB R3 LIGHTNING..... Is this just an updated version of the older unit? Also, (being a moderate purist) the F16 stick (irl) is angled forward from the vertical. I see that there is an add on mod (more£££) from Realsim to correct it. Can someone advise me, is that add on piece necessary? I'm wondering if it would be a problem to just down angle the desk or platform you fix the FSSB to. Or is there an issue where too much forward lean on the alresdy heavy warthog stick would apply forward pressure on the FSSB unit eensor causing persistant input (nose down) problems. Could that sort of issue be zeroed out in the FSSB software? Am I even making sense? Thank you in advance.
  15. I sympathise. Thats really bad luck dude. You may need to reassess how you shake peoples hands.
  16. Same problem. Mode button needs a click on the ccip mode (despite showing ccip) then selecting Auto before a change occurs. Can't imagine thats required IRL.
  17. Have you ensured the following (others chime in.....no expert here) 1. Maverick selected from stores 2. Cool down timeout expired 3. Selected Maverick display as sensor of interest. 4. A/G selected and master arm on 5. Cage/uncage seeker head
  18. Thank you. No hub.....its connected direct. Having spent hours trying everything driver based, I decided to plug the TPR it into my laptop to see lf it was the TPR at fault. And it was Instantly recognised. In frustration I disconnected everything from the main PC except the TPR. (Which now magically recognised) then started adding peripherals back. Hoping to find an issue. Despite putting all back as they were prior....the problem seems solved. Everything back to normal. I.do not understand.
  19. Anyone got suggestions..... Have had a ThrustmasterTPR for 10 months with no problems. Now my PC refuses to recognise it from a cold boot. It dissapears from DCS. I can force it to reappear by physically unplugging then reconnecting the usb cable. It remains recognised and working until the pc is powered off at which point it's lost again. Thanks in anticipation of some genius replies.........
  20. Time for a snowy valley run in my Hornet........
  21. Tbe Hornet is an awesome module. I am very happy with it and look forward to all phases of it's develoment. If the Viper is half as good it will be amazing. Thank you ED
  22. Not a real life skin......but a greyed out low vis version of the vf1 wolfpack would be nice. Sorry to upset any purists.
  23. I'm sort of glad vr optimisation mwasn't in the patch. It means that my old eyes are still able to determine improvements.......or not. Here's to 50% better
  24. +1 It seems that AoA requirements for successful arrested landings have also been tightened up. The flight model feels different. Less forgiving around the boat.
