Given that the plane said to have an APG-63v1 according to its DCS manual and carries 120C5s and has an MFD shouldn't it also have upgrades at the very least with regards to radar detection and radar / gun modes such as a Super Search mode (from about the mid 80s MSIP) and possibly even some form of EEGS? (90s ish) let alone possibly even Link 16 JHMCS and AIM-9X compatibility

In the game files the AIM-9M has an IRCCM coeff of .5 as does the Archer Something worth mentioning which is often forgotten is that there are many sub-variants and small software improvements to missiles particularly the AIM-9M and R-73 Its not that difficult with the AA-11 as there seem to really only be 2 versions (If one chooses to ignore different proxy fuses) but there are up to at least 10 sub variants of the AIM-9M its hard to tell which one we have in the game or which people are talking about Some 90s documentation explicitly mention IRCCM improvements https://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/policy/navy/ntsp/aim-9m.pdf

Yes if its going to depict a RMD-1 it should be 45/60 not 45/75 I know such a feature isn't real, its a game bug

In game the R-73 is a little odd, The gimbals on the rail are 45 degrees but in flight that becomes 75 You can see this in the files as the Fi_Start and Fi_Escort numbers which are in radians as .79 and 1.31 respectively Though, you can launch over ride and shoot as far up 60 degrees off the nose and the missile will have no problem making the turn or tracking which mimics the RMD-2

Yeah I'd like to know why they haven't considered it though Zero effort miss and time to go calculations with a PG/PN algorithm would mean the missile gets more bang for its buck But also that the R-27R/RE would be impervious to Jamming Seeing as its PN only wouldn't that mean as its modeled currently, shooting before burn through would have no effect on how accurately it makes its intercept?

There is no such thing as an "R-73M" in service, simply RDM-1 and RDM-2 anywhere and there is no missile in service using an "MK-80M" Seeker nor is there a flanker firing Ks-172s there is no R-27EA, no R-77T, no R-77M, no R-30/izdeliye 300 and no other such nonsense like a radar guided R-73 with a booster rocket in serivce What you've said is vapourware and when you see the one demo model at MAKS You've seen 1/3rd of the stockpile in the world If you still can't bear with having a realistic flanker I implore you to uninstall DCS and install 1995 Flanker and have a blast This forum isn't a place for dezinformatsia its one for facts

The R-27T/TE missiles do not have DL or any sort of LOAL capability Anyone familiar with these missiles knows the R-27T uses the Geofizika 36T seeker which isn't particularly sophisticated late 70s tech like you'd find on an R-24T R-60 or Gopher The R-27TE has a Mayak-80 seeker, the same one found in the R-73 and notwithstanding its innovations, it is still a 1980s Rosette scan seeker. The R-73 has never been listed as having such a LOAL / DL capability, an important feature in the export market today. The fact its not been advertised or referenced in the info available leads us to the reasonable conclusion its incapable of that. There seems to be a lot of misconceptions surrounding these missiles, honestly they're more for flanking and cold bandits, and usually not out to 120km as brochure range would lead one to believe maybe if the sim is anything to go by, this would allow the Su-27 to engage cold bandits past 25 to 30km as the N001E can't hold a lock on a cold bandit past that it seems

Deka is making a semi FC3 J-11A with a new clickable iirc MFI-55 DL/MFD replacing the monochrome DL scope J-11A is only free for testing will be paid when the JF-17 is done and they finish work on the MFI55

Given the amount of noughties era weapons could some late 80s and 90s versions of these missiles be added to the game such as the AIM-9M-8/9 introduced in about 1995 with enhanced IRCCM over the -2/3s Or the R-73 RDM-2 with enhanced IRCCM and gimbals increased from 45 / 60 to 60 / 80

Would like to know if it's in the works atm or if ED is still working on 120s and the new missile API About it will the missile API introduce predictive guidance or simply PN and APN
