  1. AIM-9B and bombing computer aside the current sabre is a good stand in for the F-86F30s which flew in Korea Leads me to my next point the community isn't asking for a 1 to 1 peer fighter necessarily, but a near peer type that would logically oppose what is in game now. For the 1950s a MiG-15Bis or MiG-17A makes more sense as an adversary against a USAF F-86F of the era right its not as if the communist powers would chose to field exclusively older types like the La-7 or Yak-9. So in order to better simulate a 2000s threat you need more 2000s red air
  2. :megalol: You're a mad man and a legend if you do it
  3. It has the 6-3 wing and the AIM-9B can be restricted and there you have a Korean war Sabre, wouldn't change the fact its a better plane
  4. This is still awfully vague Will this allow the J-11A to see target altitudes and speeds? Will the limit on contacts which can be displayed be increased and by how much? Will you now be able to add multiple waypoints manually? Will there be fighter to fighter and peer to peer modes? That's what I'd like to know
  5. This certainly isn't true, in DCS I take it we have an F-86F35 which in the air to air realm is exactly the same as the F-86F30 that did see combat with MiGs over Korea though most of the war was fought with Sabre Es
  6. The Hollywood FM really is a laugh but can it please be rolled back to something believable? It's able to out sustain all the 4th gens in its current state by a wide margin...
  7. It would be nice if they told us flat out what features it would bring The 12 second video doesn't really tell me much at least and the information on it is not in English only in russian and its hard to discern if things like KAB-500KR and Kh-29T compatibility are a result of winder upgrade programmes or just the MFI-55
  8. The community has been rather curious what the new J-11A from Deka would mean in addition to the new R-77 capability and air frame tweaks (like ant smash lights and new antennae & canopy you've added) What would this update bring? We've heard mention of MFI-55 but we'd like to know what exactly its capable of Also would it include 1 new MFD? Would it have a new RWR? Possibly a MAWS system? a Peer to Peer data link?
  9. Given the inclusion of more noughties fighters is it possible to see later versions of existing weapons in game like AIM-9M-9s AIM-120C-6/7s, R-73E/RDM-2s Or export more oriented ones like the AIM-9S Also are existing missiles like the R-77/27 series getting a CFD soon as well?
  10. Could it be possible for Deka to make the J-11A with 2 MFDs MFI-55 also does anyone know if any of them have a Missile Attack Warning system? I read about it in a chinese news article though Im skeptical this might be more poor translation of the SPO-15 RWR than an actual MAWS
  11. I honestly feel it might really be some of his biases and views while they might be received as tame and milquetoast here in the west might be seen as unsavory and radical by certain folks in russia. Maybe he's just not trying to get locked up or give them too much a reason to hound him?
  12. Modern REDFOR planes should come even as AI only aircraft purely because this is a Sim, and people would like to Sim NATO forces fighting Peer states like Russia and China, or client states of these listed which have undergone force modernisations in the 2000s. One can't deny the proliferation of types like the Su-30MKX & MiG-29SMT makes them a more likely foes for a late noughties F/A-18C or F-16C
  13. It's a feature currently missing in MP for whatever reason it could be nice to see it implemented as there is documentation on it and also code for it to work as seen in SP and on the DCS F-14/18/16
  14. And will it have fighter to fighter & Peer to peer modeled as well? The current flanker DL is missing that
  15. Gun pods have been on the MiG-21 in that franchise since 2011 3 years before the DCS MiG-21
  17. Hello it would be nice if a more capable version of the missile was available with 60/80 deg WEZ. It's what has been used on these planes in RuAF service and abroad since the late 1980s and shouldn't really be missing but it is for some reason, it wouldn't be to hard to implement either
  18. Would prefer it have its MFI55 with all working DL features we are missing on the ED version Or maybe even its newer R-73 RMD-2 to as well
  19. I was wrong on the sub variant but the AIM-7E4 was made to be compatible with 4th gens of the 1970s and 80s though it's not usually mentioned in the -34
  20. If I am not mistaken the earliest A and C blocks had the capability to with some modification use the AIM-7E2 Sparrow https://books.google.com/books?id=uhyIC2oX3t4C&pg=RA1-PA596&lpg=RA1-PA596&dq=aim-7e2&source=bl&ots=zTRBs2neQY&sig=ACfU3U0XN7SlZGhQCXVwnWdBwpX8FZaF4g&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjqgq3O4NbmAhXUZc0KHbs5DbIQ6AEwGHoECAgQAQ#v=onepage&q=aim-7e2&f=false this DoD report mentions it
  21. Would they consider a Russian aircraft in PLAAF service like the Su-27SK or Su-30MKK?
  22. So within seeker FOV? In game it does not do this it will commit to chaff and not reaquire
  23. Interesting and is it because the ARH is getting closer and the chaff is less effective sort of like burn through?
  24. Sorry for asking in English on the Russian forum but my question is Why do SARH missiles never try to reacquire the target after the go for chaff but ARH missiles do that? Is this a bug or is this how it works in real life I don't understand the mechanics of it.
  25. I feel like a J-8 is more of a step in the right direction
