Absolutely not, far from it, its smokey so it gives everyone a clear visual cue as to where you are and that its coming in and its IRCCM is so weak it might as well also go for bonfires and lit cigarettes dropped on the ground. Its a very over rated missile and I can't think of a time I've ever needed more than one per every three or four sorties.

In the J-11A I always take four R-27ERs one ET and one R-77 though I also fly it a lot with five ERs and a single ET purely because of how useful the ER are Id say the other two are really hard to justify given their very situational nature I guess under some circumstances two 77s and three or four ERs maybe an ET would make sense if the teams are stacked against red like 5 to 1

This is unbelievably naive and stupid, you mean to tell me in a modern conflict taking place in the 2000s and 2010s Russia and China would only use 70s and 80s era fighters with no 4+ gen planes of their own? And not to mention its more realistic to have a 4+ gen flanker as your OPFOR plane when you cosplay invading a puppet state given the popularity of Su-30MKKs and MKIs abroad

Could it be possible for any 3rd party dev to make such a plane its a very undeserved market place and given the popularity of these legacy versions abroad even types as the Su-30MKK and so on shouldn't there be enough info to make a good one or partner with some airforce for a economical familiarization platform the same way razbam has done? Would make loads of money that's for sure

Not really, the R-27ER is your main BVR weapon R-77s and R-27ETs are peripheral and situational weapons at best, and its a shame to see people fly out with 6 of the things. Focus on getting the maximum performance out of the Alamo Charlies kinematics and you will go far, very far.

I've seen this happen a lot it usually happens under two circumstances The first being you were too low to the ground when you fired the missile and it blew up or You fired one as soon as a 120 hit you causing the R-77 to also blow up giving you the kill credit as technically you were the last person to deal damage to yourself

It being FC3 only means the cockpit wont be clickable it does not mean the plane shouldn't have realistic modeling

Just curious when they plan to make the data link more authentic and give it fighter to fighter & peer to peer and remove fantasy capabilities. Possibly even add the Lazur M

Would You consider doing Egyptian and Iraqi modifications of the MiG-21 where they used AIM-9Ps and R.550 Magics or even better potentially fixing the SPO-10 RWR
