CH53 or F-4N/J

Something like a Su-30MKK can be done or even simpler, a Su-27SKM It would have the same avionics as a Su-30MKK which deka has access to in part and can reuse the IFR probe from the Su-33 and the flight model of the in game Su-27 All it would need is a new radar rwr and cockpit It is totally fine that your preference is for FF But the lite sim aspect is important to the sim community as some dont have the patience or time to get into FF. FC3 style planes serve as a good Segway for many people adding a modern Redfor plane that is FC3 (or MAC as it is their new project) would appease both the more casual simmer and those who would like to see a 2000s flanker seems like a win win even if you wouldn't buy it

You may see it as a copy cat fighter I see it more akin to different Tranches of the Typhoon we are getting or an F-14A compared to an F-14B Similar air frame representing a different era and tailored to a different clients needs Not like it matters the J-15 we get will be AI.
-
And the new AA-11 Archer? Can we expect it to be added with the CFD'ed R-27/77 or sooner? Should be as simple as changing two lines of code should it not?
-
This is certainly the foreign excitement I'm looking for.

Twenty. Got into DCS when I was seventeen, was pretty easy.
-
What plane would you put them on? Certainly not the teen series fighters we have in game currently as they're all based on US version, which do not use these missiles. Seems nonsensical to me to ask they be added, unless you also want to add with them AI Neshers Kfirs Baraks and Netz fighters.

That goes against what ED defines as SSM All capabilities should be there, how one interacts with it though should be though keyboard commands not a clickable cockpit. The information on how it works isn't classified for our 1985 Flanker I posted a thread where some one provided information on it. I guess by that logic you just laid out the F-15C shouldn't get its Radar detection fixed despite performing worse than an F-15A.

You originally said we could expect the fully CFD'ed R-27/77 Family some time in autumn Is there an approximate update or date you can give us even as a more precise estimate?

Its a recurring topic but one at least based off what I've seen ED seems to have conflicting views on its potential implementation. As seen here:https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4288175&postcount=229 And here:https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4466206&postcount=9335 https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4466237&postcount=9341 Could we get a definitive answer as to if it will be implemented and if not a more detailed explanation as to why not? Simply because not adding a capability which is as clear as day there and information on it is abundant as proven by this forum post really brings into the question the authenticity of the sim ED is trying to create. Link the the post can be found here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2650986&postcount=33 Now on a slightly different tangent I'd also be curious about ED's stance on the MiG-29 Top down tactical view of what the radar is seeing I do believe a Russian MiG-29 pilot showed the monochrome display could show that

I honestly question all this talk of sekrit documents In game we have the Pyotr Velinki with a 90s upgraded S-300 system but no land based equivalent and same goes for the HQ-9 which we have a sea based version of. Clearly ED & Deka have information to make more modern land systems why ED doesn't continue this like deka is unknown to me. As for redair, many modernised Flankers were exported in the 1990s and early 2000s and are in some services now being relegated to reserves or still soldier on today in the airforces of cash strapped Client state, I don't see why they can't make one of those. Deka has shown they have information on Su-30MKKs so there is clearly enough information for Su-27SKM or 30MKK type. Would allow for a more realistic depiction of a 2000s near peer adversary seeing as we're getting the Marianas I can't see why we won't get a PLAAF tip of the spear fighter for the 2000s before it became solely and aggressor plane

Wishlist for potential planes after JF-17
TaxDollarsAtWork replied to J-20's topic in Deka Ironwork Simulations
Seems a bit rude to pour water over the J-8 announcement Its no J-11 but we're still sure to enjoy it same way we do F-5s and the like I'm personally happy to see a unique PLAAF Workhorse being added to DCS as the Asian theater doesn't get much love in modern combat simming Is anyone familiar with what type of A2A load can we expect? Will it be R-73/77/27 compatible? Will it use PL-11/5/12/8s? What radar will it have? Does it have an HMS? If it can use R-27R & PL-11s it will be real fun pitting it against MiG-23s on coldwar servers Maybe we can get a J-7 too at some point and have some east v east scenarios for a change lol Rather tired of this NATO vs NATO stuff -
Su-30MKK Full fid or FC3 version?
TaxDollarsAtWork replied to TaxDollarsAtWork's topic in Deka Ironwork Simulations
About the J-11A's MFI 55 update Will they fix the Peer to Peer and Fighter to Fighter modes on the Flanler DL and have them working in MP? I know it's technically ED'S bug to fix but it seems they're unwilling to fix it I'd hope Deka would -
Technically possible payloads

I guess that the tactical view on the HUD repeater wouldn't be out of the question then either -
Su-30MKK Full fid or FC3 version?
TaxDollarsAtWork replied to TaxDollarsAtWork's topic in Deka Ironwork Simulations
An MSA radar (Like the N001 family sans the Pero, which is vapourware) usually does DTT through having the beam hop quickly between two targets and the hack rate would not be enough for SARH guidance. It seems to be a feature unique to PESA equipped aircraft as they can have multiple beams IIRC. -
Even if its a gamey emulation (like instant scans delayed by a few seconds etc) it would be nice if the new EW system tried to take a lot of this into account so NEZ shots could have a bit more weight to them

Su-30MKK Full fid or FC3 version?
TaxDollarsAtWork replied to TaxDollarsAtWork's topic in Deka Ironwork Simulations
Will hard points 4/9 come standard on our DCS bird? :megalol: -
If you bothered to more than skim the post I sent you'd see they're not only from the Russian forum but that very same thread. You're also a poor liar as I never said no one complained. People complain in that thread and that forum quite often and nothing ever comes of it. But you chose to ignore what the ED devs had said to fit your world view? In that case suit your self and enjoy your own private little dilusion.

While an interesting novelty the R-27EP might be, I believe less tactically niche weapons like the AIM-9M-8/9, R-73 RDM-2, & AIM-120A should be higher priority missiles to add for ED About those some have been confirmed, when can we expect them in DCS?
-
Currently it seems the AMRAAM will commit to a chaff bundle and only reacquire when it flies through it (leading it them to do a hard turn back into the target) or the bundle disappears then from there it will grab another one or the plane if its still in the seeker FOV. Interesting conspiracy, I'd like to see you substantiate these claims. According to these ED Staff posts https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4476779&postcount=9465 https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4368210&postcount=8027 The change was an accidental result of chaining the CCM scale and was reverted this patch because they didn't see such high chaff rejection as the best option given how poor the EW modeling is in DCS at the moment. In short they rolled it back to what they, ED thinks is correct. Their words not mine. You are free to try and convince them as to what the notching / EW should look like. As it is indeed very underwhelming in general at the moment.

I believe it is trying to say that the picture might just be an instrumented round with telemetry like what you'd use in a testing range to see things like fly off range
