Ich würde heute keine 1080ti mehr kaufen. Da würde ich vorher zu einer 2070 (Super) greifen. In etwas die gleiche Leistung, niedrigerer Stromverbrauch, etwa gleicher Preis wie 1080ti gebraucht und dafür neu. Raytracing ist komplett uninteressant, kein aktuelle Grafikkarte bringt da was in brauchbaren Frames zusammen. Das wird noch ein bis zwei Generationen dauern. Generell würde ich mir aber aktuell eine 2080 Super kaufen, aber anhand de aktuellen Kampfstimmung zwischen nVidia und AMD noch ein wenig den Preisverfall abwarten.

Same strange behavor here... I noticed also other things: Start up DCS, steady 90fps in the menu, smooth as silk. Playing F-14 Case1, around 30 fps, even on the carrier after the trap. Playing a private training mission with a lots of objects, fps drops without any reason to twenty something. (Does never happend before) Playing F-14 Case1 again, around 20fps. Back in the menu, fps is alternating between 60 and 85. Also the menu is not smooth when turning the head. Tried a lot of things, nVidia driver, WMR for steam stable / beta, SteamVR stable / beta, this setting, that setting, SS in steamVR, PD in DCS... I was not able to recognize any system behind the framedrops and such bad performance. Only thing I recognized so far is, that it seems like DCS is haveing a problem with other aircriafts inside the FOV. Especially the Hornet, and not so much the Tomcat. Still trying to figure out more details. But I'm sure on "something is broken and dog shit" at the moment. +1 Spec: i7-4790k@4.5,GTX1080,32GB,O+,Steam

Can't remember in what context I read it, but I think it was Zeus himself saying that. However, the Mirage is a finished module. Was there any announcement that this would be integrated / changed with the MLO? If not, then expect it not.

Ich habe jetzt ne 1080er drinnen und in DCS in Kombination mit VR habe ich das Gefühl einen onbard Intel Chipsatz zu verwenden. Wenn du heute was "neu" kaufen willst, dann kann ich dir von einer 1070er nur dringenst abraten. Sicher nicht viel weniger suboptimal als ein Laptop, aber wsl mit einem besseren P/L Verhältnis. Das Problem wird dir immer bleiben. Wenn mein 4790K und die 1080er mal anfangen Wärme zu produzieren (weil eben Leistung muss) dann steht das schon ein kleiner lauter Heizkörper im Zimmer. Wird immer so sein. Ja

I'm pretty sure that it needs a laser for correct coordiantes. Take a look at the A10. When you only slew the podm you get coordinates. If you then activate the laser, these coordinates are corrected. Its just WIP I would guess...

Did you press the trigger for activating the laser?

WPDSG und Mav F noch nicht getestet, aber das INS hat bei mir gestern ganz normal funktioniert, oder was ist wie betroffen? Faszinierend dass sie so viele Leute so schwer tun wenn sie keinen Indikator am HUD haben. (Hab das seit gestern schon öfter gehört). Ich hab zum Glück kein Problem auch ohne HUD mit dem Pod das Ziel zu finden... Auch das re-centern mit cage/uncage hat bei mir problemlos geklappt. Hab auch schon ein paar mal gelesen / gehört dass das nicht geklappt hat. Aber was anderes: Ich hab gestern den Laser nicht ausprobiert weil ich zu dämlich war das Zweite Video von Wags anzusehen, aber ist euch aufgefallen, dass die Mav bereits durch TDC press auf das Tgt geslaved wird? Lediglich der Lock Indicator im HUD kommt erst wenn man anfängt zu lasern... Irgendwie interessant und doch ganz anders als beim Harrier...

Wenn man aus heutiger Sicht eine seriöse Kaufempfehlung für DCS in Verbindung mit VR abgeben will, dann kommt man schon mal um die 20xx nVidia Generation, 32GB Ram und 1TB SSD (Laptop, muss also für alles) nicht umher. Wenn man wirklich unbedingt auf nen Laptop angewiesen ist, dann kann man sich ja noch eventuell überlegen ob man nicht nen kleinen PC zusammenstellen kann den man dann halt immer her und weg räumt. Muss man ja mit Joystick, Pedale usw. sowieso machen...

When occupying the RIO seat in the Tomcat being on Multiplayer, cold & dark on the carrier, everything is fine. As soon as the turbines are started, the view in the backseat starts to shake. This shakeing is so disturbing that you start to get sick in VR and you are also nearly unable to flip a switch cause you just can't click it. When you are airbourne, everything is fine again and the shaking is gone. This problem existet when the Tomcat was released. A few weeks later it was gone. Since a few patches, it is here again. Please prioritize to fix that issue, as it is a big problem when operating this aircraft as it is intend to be. Thank you very much in the name of everyone flying as a RIO.

Hab mich gestern auch ein wenig mit dem TgtPod gespielt... Cooles Teil, auf jeden Fall eine Bereicherung.

Still feels not much for the cat in the recent past... And (nearly) nothing for the Viggen... Are you doing summer holidays? Its ok if so, but expectations are also high and I start to feel a little bit disappointed...

Known bug since release. HB said, that it is not that easy to fix. So at least, they are aware of it.

Geht aber leider nicht bei Schiffen. So könnte man nämlich ganz cool was tricksen um sie mit 30kts beim Starten / Landen fahren zu lassen, und dass sie ansonsten stehen bleiben.

To be serious, if you need a HUD and MFD's, fly a bug. ;) Tomcat is perfectly fine as it is with the B, and it will be very puristic when the A comes...

Or to expect, that they are really working and finishing their already released modules as they should have done since a long time. Much more important then working on any new module.

Ich weiß nicht warum jeder immer glaubt dass Leute die nur (oder fast nur) FF Module fliegen auf die FC3 Piloten herabsehen. Ich fliege selbst die Su27 und Mig29 sehr gerne, und über das Flugmodell selbst gabs ja eigentlich gar keine Diskussion? Tatsache ist aber auch, dass die Funktionen extrem stark vereinfacht (Startup, Systembedienung), teilweise unrealistisch sind (Radar, IFF) oder komplett fehlen (TACAN). Das IST nunmal ein großer Unterschied und FAKT. Somit kann man mit FC3 Modulen nunmal extrem viele Sachen nicht machen. Sachen, die für mich persönlich eine Simulation für Militärflugzeuge ausmachen. Hat ja nichts mit NATOPS Checklisten vor dem Start runterbeten zu tun... Somit soll doch bitte jeder das Fliegen was ihm Spaß macht. Egal ob FF oder FC3. Aber Aussagen wie - FF ist nur was wenn man Militärpilot ist oder eine Homepit hat - Das Clicken mit der Maus im Cockpit störend und Fluggefühl mindernd ist - Man bei FF Schalter ewig im Cockpit suchen musst - Die Möglichkeiten für Korrekte Vorgehensweisen in FC3 gleich sind wie in FF Modulen sind nunmal einfach nicht der Wahrheit entsprechend und können einen Anfänger der im Forum nachfragt mal ganz schnell in die Irre führen und vielleicht sogar abschrecken...
