IIRC, this needs to be that way because that can't be changed in the game.

As the F10 map features from the Viggen and the Tomcat cannot be used in the actual OB, it would be really nice if they would release a new OB today.

Any news about a fix? Or any info if it is even on the list for fixing in near future? As flying in sunset really looks amazing, it is disturbing so much that you always end in a pitch dark night where you can't see your hands.

Before VR, I used to have Google Chrome opened on my second monitor to show the GAW GCI map, HOTAS bindings, Chucks guide or even tutorial videos. This is something I'm really missing in VR. Any info on that? I still hope we will not have to buy a carrier module, and then be forced to buy CA to control it. That would be very impudent.

As you seem to know your answer, why are you even asking? Even if some people are useing the Viggen as Fighter, it was not designed for that. Turning to tight and you get compressor stalls. A2A Radar is only very basic and not that easy to use. No IFF. No Gun and no CM without pod. So if you search an A2A fighter, you ARE wrong on the Viggen. That does not say, that you can't use it for that at all. Buy the F-5 or Mig21 if you want a cold war fighter. Viggen is a strike aircraft. Fence in low and sneaky. Blast everything away in one pass. Fence out high and fast. Thats what it was designed for. Again: use it for other things if you like, but it was not designed for them. You can find that out on your own. Even if you not own the module, you can still use it in the Mission Editor. Station 1: RB24 (Aim-9J), RB24J (Aim-9P3) Station 2: RB24 (Aim-9J), RB24J (Aim-9P3), RB74 (Aim-9L), Gun Pod, Dispenser Pod Station 3: RB24 (Aim-9J), RB24J (Aim-9P3), RB74 (Aim-9L), Gun Pod, Dispenser Pod Station 5: RB24 (Aim-9J), RB24J (Aim-9P3), RB74 (Aim-9L), Gun Pod, Dispenser Pod Station 6: RB24 (Aim-9J), RB24J (Aim-9P3), RB74 (Aim-9L), Gun Pod, Dispenser Pod Station 7: RB24 (Aim-9J), RB24J (Aim-9P3) So you could have: 4 to 6 short range IR missiles and additional a gunpod and CM pod. I also use the Odyssey+, warning lights are not really readable and also the letters on the MFD's are barely readable. The whole cockpit is, as the Mirage, far away from VR-optimized. For me, readability is much worse then vanilla Tomcat and miles away from Hornet. Hopefully, Razbam will improve that over time.

I can second that. I also observed that the parked F-18 are dropping frames very noticeable. Not 100% sure if the F-14 also causes the same. It feels like, something was messed up in the last patches. PS: Has nothing to do with Wakes, I feel no ddifference if they are turned on or off.

I just did a test with OBS, OpenVR and then tried to de-shaken ith with Mercalli (a software I'm useing for de-shakeing my videos when riding on the racetrack with my motorcycle) I'm pretty satisified with the result: N-_N-IpClCo However, while flying in VR is absolutely smooth, it looks very stuttery in the video. I will try to find out why...

Tarawa has ICLS. Harrier is modeled only with ILS. ICLS is not compatibel with ILS.

Ok, here you have your facts: Take a look here Thats only their "official aknowledged" bugs. Take a look at the forum and you'll find a lot more. At the moment, I count 18 on the year long finished Mirage. + Forum. Still bugged and not working, but has been moved to "resolved bugs" without any comment. Reported on July 15th. The "community manager" said 3 weeks later, that he "shall have a look" at it when he is back from holiday on August 19th. This are only two examples of hundreds. If that aint the perfect example for a poor bug and community management, I don't know what it should be then. And some really serious problems, like that the laser is just stopping to work in the Harrier, is yet not even aknowledged. Beside the Hawk, Razbams modules have the worst quality and the most bugs in DCS. Nearly every update, something is broken. Take a look at the recent Harrier updates. CTD's, no centering Target Pod, etc. In terms of release date: Harrier is out for over one year, not even close to release. (very little) progress only in the recent past. Ask people when the Mirage MLO was announced. Mig-19 was announced as full finished module to release. Harrier was stopped nearly complete and nothing (beside some cosmetics) happend to the Harrier for months. Work has been done on the Mig-19 instead. You may have your opinion and it may be other then mine, but I gave you now facts. Do with it what you want. Yes, they are great news. I wouls also like to see a M2K-5. However, I would also like to see it with quality and not with the bavior from the past. Once again: Razbam, please proove me wrong when being so pesimistic. :thumbup:+1, me too

As always with you, you seem like a fanboi to me ;). However, we both may love the Mirage, but will have never the same opinion on Razbam and how they work. But its still good that everyone has its own :). So we know both that a discussion between us may lead to nothig. It seems like we would need to fly together first ;).

All is true, facts, not personal feeling. They started with it. I would not yet sign that. Can you show me where the community manager "managed" anything here? Bug reports are not even commented over months... One new coder. Singular. Yes, his works seems to be very good. I have yet nothing seen from that "update to newer standards". Why? Are they not asking for my money? No one forces them to do it. And some shortcomings have never been a problem. Only community management and how you treat your customers is a problem. They made more then enough mistakes. They have only improved yet a little bit. Far, far away from trustworthy. However, this are personal opinions. TLDR; As always, everyone has his own opinion. I would love to see a M2000-5. However, its Razbam. Three modules out, none finished, all bugged over. Very bad bug / community management. Announced 15 other modules and one map. Completely stopped the developement of a in advance paid module to develop another module in the meantime. So I guess, I need to keep my expectations low. In terms of release date, as also in terms of quality. Razbam won't see a cent from me if they won't change. Still hopeing that I'm wrong.

I played 500+ hours with TrackIR. DCS can really shine in certain enviromental situations. Especially in sunrises. I LOVED doing screenshots. Here you have some of that awesome moments: Now I switched over to VR. I won't go back, no explanation needed. I miss the screenshots. I miss, to save those awesome moments. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, add something, that we can have them again in VR. (VR screenshots are just :cry:. They also look MUCH worse then it looks in VR) I would have some suggestions: Track replay: Beside that the replay generally needs to be fixed, please add some VCR controlls: (Fast) forward, (fast) rewind, stop, etc. Add the function of adding a "markpoint". So , when flying in VR, i just press this button instead of the screenshot button. When replaying the track on the flatscreen with max. graphic settings, I should be able to jump directly to the markpoint. (would be also great for WAY other things...) Screenshot quality: When doing screenshots in the replay mode, maybe it is possible to "generate" them? Maybe in 4k resolution with max details, some nice post processing etc.? In the replay it doesn't matter if the screenshot would take 15 seconds to render... I know that "issues" like that are very down on the list and that there are pretty much other, more important things. However, this is also a big "joy -side" of DCS, so I guess its maybe not that un-important...

Not sure if this LOD issue is also related to the black wings issue? Watch at the gears and air intake.
