  1. I posted it just now, i'll take the hit if they drop the hammer. I spend too much time here anyway.
  2. The STD HDG INS alignment gives the correct heading upon completion of the alignment even after moving the aircraft from it's original location. It's my understanding that by moving the aircraft before the alignment procedure is complete, the resulting alignment would be incorrect. As the aircraft is no longer in the same orientation it was when the heading was supposedly stored to memory. posible bug ins std hdg.trk
  3. I understand but i really feel like this isn't right and it's not gonna get addressed in this forum. I guess Ill try it. If they ban me it's been real everyone.
  4. your english is fine dude it's my reading comprehension that's the problem. As far as a warning I don't see why you would get a warning for reporting a suspected bug? At most it would just get tagged correct as is or no bug. If they hit you with a warning I may personally reconsider how much effort I put into reporting anything in the future TBH. Maybe message BigNewy or Nineline and ask to have it moved?
  5. yeah i get it I was just saying I don't see why the button wouldn't be visible anymore it just would give you an inaccurate alignment if you pressed it after moving.
  6. It took me a minute to understand what you were getting at. I was going to test this out this morning. I came here to see if anyone discovered anything before I did it. I guess throw this up in the bugs sub-forum and we'll see what happens.
  7. I read somewhere if the plane moves at all since the last time it was parked/shut down STD HDG doesn't work anymore. I can't recall where I read that, it was on here somewhere I think. At which point I've always assumed a full alignment is your only option. Although I have found nothing to back that up, it's just how it works in my own head. I think STD HDG will work after you move but it won't be accurate. I have experienced the SA page and TACAN displaying planes locations where they are visually nowhere in sight. Also minor discrepancies between the heading tape and HSI. I believe this is from restarting alignment and or moving before it's complete. I can mess around with it in the morning, and report back. I'd test it out tonight but about to do a flight with the boys in about 15 minutes.
  8. Ok hell yeah, I always struggled with doing math in my head. It always helped if I could visualize it/write it down. These are good tips, thank you so much.
  9. I'll have to try that -200 + 20 method. But I bet I get screwed up when passing through 360/000. Practice practice practice I guess.
  10. Noted, will try to avoid in the future. I thought it meant you pulled the throttle off after you hit the deck not while still in the air.
  11. The narrow solid green oval at the bottom of the HSI in this picture is the marker you use to determine this. It only shows when TCN is boxed on your DDI. In this example I used here I would call it 082.
  12. it must have been fouled deck because there was no L or D. I actually got 2 grades on this landing, the first was C #3Wire EGIW and the 2nd was the WOFDIC so the fouled deck notation makes sense. DCS AI strikes again. The EGIW note was BS IMO, thanks paddles. I pulled throttles to idle coming over the wires so I would settle down and I guess didn't go back to full power fast enough.
  13. I got a WOFDIC, wave off, fast, ???, in close. Any guess what the D means?
  14. So I was playing around with this a bit during the afternoon yesterday. My previous observations were inaccurate. In SP on the S-3B the initial callout "intent to refuel" does not deploy the drouge. It only deploys once "ready pre-contact" is called out. At which point refueling can begin. Upon completion "transfer complete, disconnect" is called and the hose retracts into the pod. This seems like correct behavior to me. In SP on the KC-135MPRS the initial callout "intent to refuel" deploys the drouge. Refueling proceeds as per usual and at "transfer complete" The hose disconnects and does not retract into the pod. During my MP session KC-135 deployed at "ready pre-contact" same as the S-3B behaves in SP and hose retracts at "transfer complete" I have yet to be sent for trick or treat in MP yet so more testing is in order. For what it's worth the S-3B is also deploying the basket as it enters a left hand turn in the race track orbit when no radio callout is transmitted at all. Will continue to experiment with this and grab some tracks this weekend. The behavior is quite erratic to say the least.
  15. TBH your better off just going to multi player as the wingman AI is trash. I'll fly with you, I don't even like being tac lead you can boss me around all you want.
  16. Hello, I recently began tanking off the KC-135MPRS after learning and perfecting my abilities on the S-3B. I've been practicing my tanking in single player getting on and off the hose and just recently I am beginning to explore multi player. I noticed when I am in a multiplayer server the drouge remains retracted until I call ready pre-contact at which time the hose is extended. In a single player mission the hoses are pre deployed prior to even arriving at the tanker. I've also noticed that the hoses being retracted significantly reduces the distance from which you can call ready pre-contact and have the hoses extend out for connection. Has anyone figured out why there is a difference in behavior and is there a way to correct it so the behavior is consistent between MP and SP? I don't mind which behavior is correct I just wish it was the same for both. In MP last night I made an ass of myself calling ready pre contact about a dozen times as I was used to being able to call it from much further out due to the hoses being pre deployed in SP. Another issue is after completing refueling in SP the hose disconnects and then clips through the airplane. The MP server the hose disconnects and retracts back into the pod. I searched around and noticed a few others have noticed this behavior but not much else has been said about it.
  17. anyone else have an abomination for a pilot now?
  18. fixed the visor...broke everything else. im having terrible nightmares and I can't sleep now
  19. That's pretty much my setup and I get really nice frame rates with pretty demanding settings. Down low with lots of ground clutter I can drop down to 35FPS minimum, some would call this unplayable. I was flying sims back when they were wire frame models at 6 fps so I find it impossible to complain these days.MY settings aren't maxxed out but they are set pretty high. I think you will be happy with what you have planned. The F4U is my favorite WWII era fighter, that build looks incredible! Thank you for sharing your work I'm very impressed!
  20. With the Marianas map coming out someday and all the WWII stuff a F4U would be really cool. I love those gull wings.
  21. We're the tac lead, aaaaaaannnnnd..........................FUCK IT! FOX3!!!!
  22. whats this? coming later? I must say this is something I've been wishing for from day one w. the F/A-18
  23. Cool ok. Hey what a deal, I thought I just got the one boat.
  24. My IP highly recommended this for training and practice, thanks for helping out a nugget.
