  1. Read the links I posted above, it says that the gun pod can be switched to a recon pod or an ecm / countermeasure pod. I seriously think you guys should add all of the capabilities of the c101 platform, even the laser guided hud aimed mavs of the DD variant. It will just make a more playable aircraft in the Dcs environment. Also I refuse to believe that the c101 can't be equipped with flare chaff countermeasures, hell, they added it to the Huey for crying out loud.
  2. ^ this, allows more people to sample this find work of the dev. If you are irritated about spending more for it, we have all been around Dcs long enough now to know that all content is subject to periodic sales even if it's only been out for a few months.
  3. Actually I'd rather have updates on the cc, love the c101, but Dcs is a combat sim. Having a plane with no weapons is extremely boring. I almost wish they would just get the cc out there ASAP with just some of the weapons as a beta, and do they rest as we go along.

Just saw at the end of the list of versions, the DD version is the only one with mav capability. So I guess the question is, the DD is just CC with a laser designator and mavs, then why not have this capability for the CC.

It is also noted that where 30mm cannon sits, it can be replaced with an ecm pod or a laser designator which can be used to target mavs with the hud. Also happy that the c101 can be equipped with ecm / flare pods which makes it a more viable dcs platform and not just a boring trainer. I can't wait for the 101cc to be released......
  6. Actually, I'd rather they push those aside once again and start work at full speed on the AH1W. The time is ripe for a blue side attack helo, can't see how that is not full priority right now.
  7. So after reviewing the discussion posted here, I take it this is the official list (from 1st post) of weapons that will be carried by the c101cc ? Does it have countermeasures ? Would have been nice to have mavs, the anti ship missiles make this interesting in itself. Not many dcs platforms have a dedicated anti ship weapon.
  8. Is this mod working with the current dcs version ? Can you use it in mp or will it fail integrity check ? Do you still have the su25t version and can it fire agm88 harms ?

  10. So the DCS Skyhawk isn't dead, just not going to be done by VEAO. So much for Boeing raining on our parade. Can you release it as a free mod ? Is that a way around Boeing ? Then we just give donations to the guy doing the work ? Looks great what you have so far, press on, I'll support and buy it.

So with the flash sale flurry that went on yesterday, is there any good faith gesture in the works from ED for those that feel they got burned with purchasing the saber then month / days later it's flash sale for $15 ? By good faith I mean maybe ED adds the difference in price to our rewards account. Something similar to what went on last year with the huey.

  15. I solved it for my problem, when I was adjusting / and testing monitor overclocks I must have set the desktop to 16bit color. That's why the pics look all poor detail in the clouds. I set it back to 32 bit color and it's perfect now.

  17. I just noticed this. I just up graded my monitor to a new 2560 X 1440 res pls panel that overclocks to 120hzs. I had to update to the latest driver to allow the overclock and now the clouds and sky are all messed up as you described.
  18. I'm in the same boat as you, can't use the softh app key fix due to my 690 requiring sli in windowed to get full performance. CA is unplayable for me because the crossairs are not aligned to the gun due to my dual monitor set up. This really needs to be resolved by ED. Frustrating because we have a lot of missions at SimHQ that use CA, and not being able to us it properly just sux.
  19. Here's some pics of what I'm talking about. CA is unplayable for me if the gun reticle is not aligned with the gun tube. It's impossible to aim. ED please fix this so I can finally enjoy CA. There needs to be a way to align the gun reticle with the barrel in multi monitor resolutions or just have a selection in the options to only render CA on one monitor. 1st pic shows where I should be aiming, but the round hits the ground 200 yards from the tank. 2nd pic shows where I have to guess to aim and have no chance to hit the target because the gun is not aligned to the reticle. 3rd pic is an error, disreguard.
  20. I posted in that thread but didn't help. The point i'm getting at is that if you are going to sell a ground combat sim to flight simmers that use multi monitors, why not support us and add a feature to align the crossairs on the middle screen. Could even be a small feature that you tick in the options to just have CA draw on the middle screen.
  21. I see in the latest update that the issue with jtac binos was addressed. Now if ED could fix the way CA looks on multi monitors it would be great. I use a dual monitor setup stacked vertically. The hud / sight reticle is all out of alignment because of the dual monitor view. When I fire it's impossible to aim because the weapons aren't lined up with the reticle. It's frustrating because I really enjoy CA, but when you can't hit the broad side of a barn because of your monitor view, it really kills the enjoyment.
  22. It looks like this might be the answer to my problem, but not sure how to adjust it to my settings. I run dcs in windowed mode with 2 stacked monitors with a res of 1920 x 2280 aspect of 1. It works great for me flying but it's awful in CA. The weapon crosshairs are not aligned properly due to the HUD stretching so combat is terrible. Also when I use the right click weapon view the view is centered in the bezel of the 2 screens and still not aligned with the HUD aim point, which makes the sight useless. I wonder if this tweak would help ? Not sure what to adjust without breaking something.

There is some truth to change of tactics with the increased Sam effectiveness, just would have liked to have seen this come with the addition of DCS f-18c, I mean the su-25t is boring to fly with it's FC flight model. Now I'm going to have to spend countless hours in that bird doing sead, and currently I've heard of some bugs where the 25mpu explodes premature. So only the k58 is reliable right now. As for a-10c pilots flying alone, not everyone has time to flying in a squadron and practice real world tactics every time. I see a lot of pilots that log in to a server and coordinate if they can, but really just want put some time in blowing stuff up after work. It seems there are a lot of big missions that support this MP scalability. The more effective tungs and tors are going to need some adjusting by mission designers.
  24. I think maybe a middle ground to reach for this debate might be to decrease the accuracy, I mean they are almost 100% accurate and put up a surprising rate of fire with those missiles. Or even slow down the rate of fire. Wait until you see 4 tungs on the move firing and working together like is saw in rampant bear the other nite, it's hell.
