Can’t find anything in my fist run through the manual. does it use link 16 like the falcon or hornet ? How do we get SA feed from awacs ?

Yeah, I don’t buy the no harms for F15Es. The manual says the 15E was designed to carry everything in the airforce arsenal and even has a picture of it flying with them on the rail. I don’t care the SMEs insist that they never used or trained with harms, they were never in a conflict that required them. For example, the high intensity conflicts we usually fly in dcs missions, you can’t tell me the USAF wouldn’t be loading up everything under the sun on 15Es for a red storm rising WWIII scenario if it happened in real life. I heard the same sentiment from Apache pilots on a pod cast about Apaches. They were asked about tackling a2a with other helos. They were like “ahhh no we don’t do that”. You don’t think If nato went to Ukraine tomorrow, those Apaches would be armed with sidewinders ? Hell yeah they would, and they were spec’d to carry them, they just haven’t needed to yet.

Thanks for resolving, but I'm dead serious about compensation for the inconvenience. It's the industry standard when their fubar snafu prevents the consumer from enjoying the product they bought and paid for.

So.....Compensation....once this is fixed ? I'd expect something for this inconvenience, like an extra 10% off my next module.

Just throwing out there as you have some great tools, would be sweet to consolidate them all. Like the DTC and CMS in one instead of 2 different Apps. Plus there's also the way doing waypoints. Your DTC would be appealing if it also did CMS rather than just waypoints like the way.

You thought of combining this with your countermeasures App? Or all your Apps for that matter, like one mega App that does DTC waypoints, CMS, Atis, Calcs/Conversions...ect. Like an all-in-one EFB with on exe.

Any plans to add the Viggen to this awesome mod ? It's the plane most sorely needing a tool like this. If you've flown the Viggen you'd know what I'm talking about. Program a multi coordinate attack on a 1981 Cassio watch as a flight computer, it's like texting on a 1999 nokia phone. Please add the Viggen and unleash this awesome plane.

I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. I was driving me crazy, can't be how it's suppose to work, has to be a bug.

That's great cause I was noticing problems described here as well.

That makes sense. I had a better time with iff in mp last nite by using mode 1 and asking all the JF17 pilots what code they were using so I could set mine at that. It worked far better for me than using the mode 6, though I do want to try mode 6 again and just be more pt with the iff.

I'll try holding the button down longer to see if it helps.

I did all that and I'm still getting yellow Unk for friendly F18s in MP. I've read all the guides on IFF for the JF-17 and something is not right when interrogating in MP. I can't tell if it's the server's setting or lack of, but friendlies should always be green....and yes my IFF is on and boxed icon on the radar screen....

I'm having issues with this. I use mode 6 and even use the A+B option like it's described in the guides, but I still get UNK on friendly F-18s all the time and it's lead to some frustrating team kills in MP. There needs to be a better system, I'd rather just have a magic system for MP for now. Your either all friendly or all foe, it's just too hard to ensure everyone is setting their IFF right.

I prefer steam as well. Unfortunately all my modules are standalone. I wish the devs would give me a one time switch to steam like the iL2 BOS devs did, I'd switch to steam in a heartbeat. With the keyless system they went to, I bet linking your account to steam wouldn't be that hard, just a matter of the devs supporting it. Like the op stated I'd like to hear from the devs on switching our standalone accounts to steam.

The hud is too dark. Needs to be 50% lighter. Mods won't due on integrity check servers.

I'm not saying DCS should make your keys available on both platforms, just saying it would be great to allow a user to switch to steam account permanently. It seemed this was offered initially then went away, but I think it's worth it for ED to bring this back.

Yea, I don't buy that. IL2, Xplane 11, and FSX are all on steam and deal with all those issues you mentioned with no problem. I think it's more a matter of ED not wanting to put forth the effort.

Shag, in the current state of the DCS deal on steam yes you are right you probably can't switch. That's why I brought up the IL2 deal steam has with 1C / 777 because it can be done if ED wants to put forth the effort. If you ask why would ED waste time with this ? Well having dedicated DCS pilots convert to steam benefits ED, every time I fly it lets the 3 dozen people in my steam friends list know I'm flying DCS and creates more interest to the sim from people who would not be exposed to it. That's why it's in ED's interest to redo their steam deal with valve and model it after the one that 1C / 777 have with steam.

I guess you missed the point that 1C and 777 already offer this third party to steam conversion free of charge for IL2 BOS. How ever they made that happen can't be rocket science and could even be done by DCS. The crux of the deal is once you convert your account to steam, you can no longer buy non steam modules. I would even be willing to still buy from DCS store if they offered a heavily discounted steam key along with standalone as a bundle deal.

The problem is I've invested hundreds buying all the modules on DCS store, no F'n way I'm rebuying everything on steam. Do what 1C / 777 did with IL2 BOS, offer a one time free of charge account switch from DCS to steam. Once all my modules are switched to steam then I'll go ahead and make all my future purchases on steam. Again, steam exposure benefits DCS when all my steam friends notice me flying DCS for 6 hours a day and want to know why.
