Ok, I figuared out what I was doing wrong, I was trying to run dcs only on my main screen at 1900x1200 and nothing on my touchscreen but helios. This is how I run my BMS setup and thats what was confusing me. I had to switch the in game res to draw to the full monitor res of 1900x2280 and now the EMC boxes are populating with exported views....all is good now, off to continue with helios setup....rep inbound.
-
^ thanks man. So I started over from the new button, and I still can't get anything exported to the EMC boxes on my second monitor. The 2nd monitor is an acer 23" touchscreen at 1900x1080 that I have running in a verticle setup with a 28" hannnsg at 1900X1200 for a total res of 1900x2280 The touchscreen itself is configuared and works well with a BMS helios setup. I must be missing something still, so I will continue to monitor this thread and see what develops.

I think I figuared out where I went wrong by watching PeterP's video on the last page. I was suppose to start with the new button which makes a custom lua monitor setup. I was creating the monitor setup on the 1camera lua which might have caused problems. Anyone have a download of the default monitor setup preset lua files so I can start over from scratch ?
-
I will check that you maybe right, this is a brand new install I'm working with so that could be the culpret. * nope that wasn't it, options are in sim mode not game mode. Is there any configuaring with the monitor setup lua via notepad ? My monitor setup selection in the options is misssing 1camera choice even though the file is there in the folder.
-
Is there any where to find a guide or instructions on step by step how to use this cuz I can't get it to work right. I feel like I'm missing a step, I place the export boxes on my 2nd monitor with helios, but the mfds are locked to the left and right corners of the main screen. Are there more steps I need to do besides just placing the export boxes ?

Kneebord Export for all DCS modules - I need your suggestions
Skoop replied to PeterP's topic in DCS Modding
Dude this is awesome, I have always wanted this. Is this going to be compatible for MP ? I can't tell you how helpful this will be for MP Missions and having jtac info right there at your knee. ED should employ you and icemaker full time with all the cool stuff you are doing. For the future versions down the road, would it be possible to have an ingame note pad function ? For instance a page that will look like hand written notes that save jtac coordinats automatically as if you wrote them down yourself. Saw in the previous posts that it will not be available for FC3, does this include the SU-25T world as well ? -
Funny you brought this up because I am deep into bms right now and thought about smart scaling being added to dcs. Might be a cool feature to add, but like a lot of things in dcs, is it really worth devoting time and resources to ? I mean there are so many other fish to fry for ED.

And the conscripts operating the t-90s would fare better than the battle hardened Iraqi republican guard that spent a decade fighting Iran ? That war was a cake walk due to air power, not the quality of the enemy soldiers. Republican guard units did have the latest greatest at the time soviet equipment at 73 easting with ATgm firing t72s. We all know how that went.
-
The t-90 and 80 are both unproven unlike the Abrams. Thats the message I got from armored warfare experts at Ft Irwin. The t-90 might seem that way on paper, but let's see what it does against a battle tested Abrams. The crew might have alot to do about it too, most US tankers have combat experience as opposed to the conscripts operating those t90s and 80s.
-
@Slug88, good point, but what's up with CA then ? Seems like the Russian armor are like über super tanks.
-
Has the T-90 ever seen action? Some contacts at Ft Irwin stated that Russians can't get T-90s operating in numbers due to typical Russian logistical snfu. This was relayed to me about the T-80 as well. It seems to me most Georgian war footy shows T-72s fielded by Russia. I wouldn't be surprised if the T-72 is still the predominant tank in Russian front line units. The Opfor guys at Ft Irwin made the comment that the T-90 and T-80 seemed great on paper, but once in the field, their performance was subpar to western standards. They were essentially calling them paper tigers sort a speak.

The unticking the disable areo box worked wonders for me, went from 15 to 20 fps to solid 60 to 65 fps.

Seeking advice of mobo & ram for i5-2500K
Skoop replied to MadTommy's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I went with the ivy too instead of the sandy. They seemed even, in the end I reasoned that if I already had a 2500k then forget Ivy. But I going from a 920 i7, so might as well get the latest greatest. Waiting for my parts to show up and get to building. -
If 1800 is the default HOF for CBUs, what HOF do you recommend as optimal. I been having issues with my 105 drops being off by 50 to 100 feet and I suspect it may be the HOF.

+ 1
-
That maybe the problem, it's mission generator mission, that I did some extra editing to. I try it out in a different mission.
-
I did that, the view won't save in game if it's not set to false. The problem is they reset back to default when the mission ends.
-
The saving Views in game function isn't working in world. I tied to use the LWin + KP# then Ralt KP0 to save and it saves for the current mission, then erases back to the defaults.

Not sure if this related to CBU crashes or not. Getting random crashes in MP every time I fly in MP. Sometimes it's in 10 mins, other times it's after 1 or 2 hours of flying, but at some point MP will crash every time. Here's my last crash log for DCS World 1.1.2.1: # -------------- 20120520-091037 -------------- # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 3FC3CA14 00:00000000 00000000 00000000 0000:00000000 3FC3CA14 0031EE80 0000:00000000 3FC7FFA9 0031EFA0 0000:00000000 F5F2A36D 0031EFE0 0000:00000000 ??1Reader@Mail@@UEAA@XZ()+23D E6E193A4 0031F050 0000:00000000 E6E19451 0031F0A0 0000:00000000 E6E135BE 0031F0D0 0000:00000000 E6E3A903 0031F100 0000:00000000 E6E4F613 0031F130 0000:00000000 3FD1167E 0031F1B0 0000:00000000 3FDA87A1 0031F6B0 0000:00000000 3FDAADC7 0031F760 0000:00000000 772A652D 0031F790 0001:0001552D C:\Windows\system32\kernel32.dll BaseThreadInitThunk()+D 773DC521 0031F7E0 0001:0002B521 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll RtlUserThreadStart()+21 Not sure if this is related either but I was having the same random MP crashes in 1.1.1.1 A-10c, here's a crash log from that : # -------------- 20120518-051533 -------------- E:\DCS A-10C\bin\Effects.dll # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 174255F7 01:000245F7 00000000 00000000 0000:00000000 174255F7 0012EFA0 0001:000245F7 E:\DCS A-10C\bin\Effects.dll ?GetLoadStep@JSmokeMaterial@Effects@@UEAAHXZ()+3BA7 17425866 0012EFD0 0001:00024866 E:\DCS A-10C\bin\Effects.dll ?GetLoadStep@JSmokeMaterial@Effects@@UEAAHXZ()+3E16 17426302 0012F200 0001:00025302 E:\DCS A-10C\bin\Effects.dll ?GetLoadStep@JSmokeMaterial@Effects@@UEAAHXZ()+48B2 01D5B1FF 0012F230 0001:0003A1FF E:\DCS A-10C\bin\DXRenderer.dll ?DrawNormalLights@DXRenderer@Graphics@@AEAAXPEAPEAVRenderObject@2@H@Z()+BF 01D5C5A4 0012F270 0001:0003B5A4 E:\DCS A-10C\bin\DXRenderer.dll ?DrawBatch@DXRenderer@Graphics@@QEAAXPEAPEAVRenderObject@2@H@Z()+124 01D5D991 0012F2A0 0001:0003C991 E:\DCS A-10C\bin\DXRenderer.dll ?DrawObjects@DXRenderer@Graphics@@UEAAXPEAPEAVRenderObject@2@I@Z()+31 022FF2B8 0012F310 0001:0000E2B8 E:\DCS A-10C\bin\Visualizer.dll ?DrawTransparent@RenderParserImpl@@QEAAX_N0MM0@Z()+138 0231132F 0012F5D0 0001:0002032F E:\DCS A-10C\bin\Visualizer.dll ?RenderScene@SceneManager_Implement@@QEAAXPEAVsmCamera@@_N@Z()+40F 023140CE 0012F6C0 0001:000230CE E:\DCS A-10C\bin\Visualizer.dll ?RenderMain@SceneManager_Implement@@UEAAXAEBVdPosition@@W4vCameraType_e@@AEBUViewport@smSceneManager@@@Z()+47E 02314FAC 0012F8B0 0001:00023FAC E:\DCS A-10C\bin\Visualizer.dll ?Render@SceneManager_Implement@@UEAAXXZ()+5FC 4030C606 0012F940 0000:00000000 4030FB9F 0012F9A0 0000:00000000 4039F1BC 0012FEA0 0000:00000000 403A06EB 0012FF50 0000:00000000 76E5652D 0012FF80 0001:0001552D C:\Windows\system32\kernel32.dll BaseThreadInitThunk()+D 770EC521 0012FFD0 0001:0002B521 C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll RtlUserThreadStart()+21

Want clickable interface for the Su-25T?.. look no further!

I will definately be trying out this set up tommy. Have you thought of possibly adding some gages and a export of the skhval screen if that is even possible with the Su-25 ? -

I'd love to get my hands on this. -
I recently went from a 10 series CCC to the most current 11.8 driver and now I have the white box / flashes. I will revert to 11.6 as some mentioned good results. Any one else noticed this bug coming back with 11.8 ? EDIT : guess I should have checked the forum instead of going straight to search, 2 threads down is an awnser for my question. White boxes are presant with 11.8, so 11.6 is the driver to go with I guess.

I tried your fix, didn't work with my vid card. Ghost, I'm gonna try out the ipad pit for blackshark. Any thoughts on getting it running for the new BMS-4 mod for falcon ?
