  1. I have the same problem. At night everything outside the cockpit is messed up. I guess I can be a day time fighter for a while:)
  2. I think that would be the key for late Cold War maps/missions in Europe that everyone has been dreaming for a while. Not as modern as the greek version, the portuguese one had some upgrades and capabilities too. From the wiki "The avionics of the P version included the AN/ASN-91B armament control and navigation system, which was consisted primarily of the Navigation/Weapon Delivery Computer (NWDC), air data computer (ADC), Flight Data Computer (FDC), AN/AVQ head-up display (HUD), ASCU/JBOX armament pylon station control unit, projected map display system (PMDS), and was equipped with the AN/ASN-90 inertial navigation system, AN/ASN-190 navigation Doppler radar, and the AN/APQ-126 terrain-following radar. This version was equipped with two Colt Mk 12 cannon that originally were used by the USN's A-7A and was capable of using newer missiles and bombs due to its modern avionics and sensors. All aircraft retained their in-flight refueling systems, making the A-7 the first aircraft operated by the PoAF with this capability. These armament included the AIM-9 Sidewinder missile (P version) and in its last years of service the L version, BAP 100, M-117, Mk 20, Mk 82, Mk 83, Mk 84, BL755 bombs, Folding-Fin Aerial Rocket, CRV-7 rockets, AGM-65 Maverick (B and G versions). Between 1982 and 1989 the A-7 fleet was modernized with a hydraulic system upgrade, AN/ALR-46 radar warning receiver installation, IFF system implementation, and the installation of an Engine Condition Monitoring (ECM) system. In 1990 the HUD was further upgraded and received the CTVRDS recording system, the AN/ALR-46 was replaced by the SPS-1000 system, AN/ALE-40 Chaff and Flare dispenser system, and received the Improved Night Lights update and TA-7P were installed with Automatic Maneuvering Flaps (AMF). In 1991, the PoAF bought AN/ALQ-131 electronic countermeasure pods to equip the A-7P.] Later in 1995 the fire control and navigation computer (OFP-2) received a major update."
  3. As I've mentioned there is A-7 group on facebook really active all the time with former ground crew, pilots and fans. I can recall post I read about a portuguese A-7 Corsair II pilot (A frames with E avionics) that they used to "target" car windows on the highway with the SIM maverick.
  4. I have a G1 and with the IPD set to 55 everything is readable. Now, for those who haven't experienced VR, you have to look at a specific spot to get it sharp. But for a glance it hasn't disappoint.
  5. I like toggling VR off or ON on MSFS2020 with the press of a key. Thats good as those menus are terrible to deal with VR. And it also runs smoothly. IL2 is the best performance wise. DCS used to be manageable, but now since the clouds it has been horrible. I even let the Raven One campaign last missions on hold. 40 fps and the cockpit camera somehow it drags and its terribly uncomfortable
  6. The A-7 Corsair II group on Facebook is super active with former pilots, maybe there's someone who can help
  7. I still get a 20 fps loss for having clouds (standard): Nevada F-16 only 60/50 fps. with broken4 clouds 40/30 fps. : GTX 2070 Super, 32gb ram, SSD, I5 10600k Stable and Beta.
  8. Sorry with this latest patch, do I have to reinstall it or wait for another version or is it working? I had some stutters yesterday but I don't know why.
  9. this should be so easy to solve... Inputing coordinates is a nightmare. please ED!
  10. any info on the SA? btw I'm experimenting with this mission and I don't hear the radio checks like in some videos. I'm on 3 pri on the deck. but I can only listen to the flight when push is broadcasted.
  11. keep them coming!
  12. :music_whistling: :cheer3nc:
  13. I hope there will be a A-7P* (the Portuguese version) on it. I know the frame is the A version, but the avionics are the same as the E and apart from the cannon ( two 20 mm Colt Mk 12 cannons vs M61A1) and a ventral top antenna there's not much differences between them. At least a proper skin! *I wish the same fate for the Greek A-7H. Both countries have a lot of Corsair fans that would happily spend their money on their beloved plane.
  14. The only thing I see at the moment are some flashs from time to time (IL2). But yeah, maybe it was the patch. But in VR everything is smooth even if the FPS doesn't transmit the idea, not as smooth as Non-VR, but good.
  15. Il2 is kinda the same, I can't explain why as now it can go a little bit up sometimes (I did some tweaking but frankly I get lost in what changed). But avg is 45ish.
  16. I bought a i5-10600K (WC H60 Corsair) + Gigabyte Z490 Gaming X + Gskill TridentZ DDR4 32gb 3600 CL17 to match my RTX 2070 Super. I get 90 to 100+ FPS (no VR) on the Instant Action Super Carrier Trials Mission (on the carrier deck) with the F-14 140/160 over Dubai free flight with the F/A-18. 50/75 on the ground Mission Iron Hand Nevada 75+ on the air over Nevada Nellis AB. In VR I have a HP Reverb. I haven't tested a lot, but it's always at least 45 locked on the ground/carrier. With this setup (my VR setup in a non VR test):
  17. any IPD ideas for the Reverb? Gonna mess with it tomorrow just to check it out.
  18. Yeah, I get 45 fps locked on the ground single player F-14. 50/60 at altitude. Gonna try the carrier tomorrow
  19. Well after reading almost every thread, I bought a i5-10600K + Gigabyte Z490 Gaming X + Gskill TridentZ DDR4 32gb 3600 CL17 to match my RTX 2070 Super. I'm still waiting for some parts. Let's hope VR performance improves a bit!
  20. Yeah I know I'm in this "business" since Falcon 3.0, but frankly I didn't even know that the Super-Carrier had a manual. Too many modules. Too many sims. Can't stay on top all the time But thanks!:thumbup:
  21. Is there any guide for complete and correct Plane-Carrier COMMs? I have been trying from what I've read here and there and 8 out of 10 I get "LSO: GRADE: NC : No proper communications"
  22. Yeap! Almost the same boat;D Well I have a 2070 S, its a little on the lower end but it has helped a bit. 16 gb DDR3, and Corsair water cooling. But I do have a reverb pro v2 and frankly DCS isn't a great experience with my rig and IL2 is always around 45 fps, but it's horrible when looking to the sides (everything warps). I can't spot a thing! I'm new to the VR scene, so it has been like taking a degree; setup and redo it, and trying it again, edit this file, try this mod, vr on, vr off, not its jagged, now it's slow. Anyway. I was considering 32GB of RAM at least. Everyone is bashing Intel over AMD, but both DCS and IL2 aren't going to change engine anytime soon and it is still up to core speed. Here in Portugal 3900X is roughly the same price as i7-10700K i9-9900KF (around 490/500 euro). And I'm really confused, and I've read so many things and seen so many videos :|
  23. I'm following this one as I need to replace my 4770 ASAP! :D I've seen the new 10600k also
