25 second black screen on quit to desktop. It seems the black screen on shut down is consistently shorter after I added bkg_load_signed_plugins = false to the autoexec.cfg. About 25 seconds now. Before that it would vary in time and sometimes be much longer. A consistent 25 second to shut down is acceptable for me. It just used to not do that. dcs.log

I tried the bkg_load_signed_plugins = false to no avail. Still ~30 second black screen on exit. For record I use Windows Defender for AV and have exclusions for everything DCS related.

Same for me. A black screen sits there for 30+ seconds before closing.

Anyone have command to revert the dedicated server? I used dcs_updater.exe update 2.9.15.9599@release and it installed the full version. Don't know what I did wrong but after reinstalling just the server I tried it again and it worked properly.

You can test by going into your profile page on the DCS web site. Open active servers and then my servers. If you don't see yours there no one else will either.

So then where's the problem?

There was apparently some dispute as to the license obligations. If it's not a violation for a government employed trainee to purchase and use DCS World on their personally owned computer might their government condone this and save big bucks by not buying the professional product? Especially if that aircraft were designed to exacting specifications.

Would it be considered government use if a nation's air force encouraged its members to purchase with their own personal funds and practice a specific aircraft in DCS World?

Did you confirm no other axes are mapped to the throttle control?

I did more testing and believe the problems I was having were due to the closeness of the planes in the enemy formations. If they are spread out more it works as advertised.

I've watched a few videos, read Chuck's Guide but cannot get additional air targets in a group auto selected (boxed instead of solid). Sometimes I can, most times not. From RWS I can go into STT by selecting an aircraft in a group. Then either short fwd or aft on AACQ. Doesn't matter which TWS mode. Only the primary is tracked. Sometimes I can manually select secondary and so on but sometimes not. Have cycled the auto (pb10) boxed and unboxed and once in a while it will track the other three aircraft in the group which I can then cycle through with the coolie. What am I doing wrong?

To all the tankers inclined to fly difficult patterns know this, I have guns.

I'm hoping for a sidewinder tone I can hear.

Thanks. I forgot I did have a couple of custom liveries. I removed those and tried it again a few times and so far no more hangs.

Think it started a couple of patches ago. It hangs sometimes when waiting to get into the plane. If I let it sit there it is hung indefinitely. However, if I click the left mouse button a time or two the close the program or wait dialog pops up. If I click wait for program it drops my into the plane immediately. No mods. Have done the usual clean up and repair.

FWIW I started the trial of the Mig-15. Installed it. Both versions crash the game, any terrain. I'm not running any third party mods and have done a repair and clean. Oh well, ED will get it sorted out.

The Mig-15 is the only FC4 module I didn't already own the full fidelity version. All the rest of my FC planes work without crashing the game. Did you already own the full fidelity version of the Mig-15? Maybe I'll start a trial of the full fidelity Mig-15 just to see if that resolves the issue. Out of curiosity.

I've long had FC3. I just purchased FC4. All planes activated. I get the install loop as others have mentioned. When I try to fly the FC Mig-15 the game crashes on entering the plane. Every time. I can fly the F-15C with no crash.

Jammer Time! I hopped in an MJ-1. Now if I can just figure out how to make it go.

If you aren't willing to put the effort into mastering one of the more difficult aspects of this "sim" you aren't going to get much satisfaction from it. Practice some.

I've been told a few times I have a radio voice (radio face too) while working IT support. No pro voice experience though. Texas accent. One of my recent youtube videos.

C and D models carried M61 pods on their wings/centerline also.
