I had a strange problem with mission 3 and my warthog hotas: If I put my throttle to full mil power, it shows only 80% on the rpm. 100% is only possible with throttle to full burners... Started a different mission and there my Hotas worked fine...

In my opinion It is not that they are in desperate need of the money. But developing of such a complex sim takes time and personal! And this takes money. And again: The Viper is not "rushed" or "thrown out in a hurry". It is "early access". You could also compare this with a Kickstarter. Yes, it is time and money consuming. By purchasing EA you support the developers and become a part of making this happen. If you don't want to, you don't need to. I want to, and I'm happy I did!

I thought I don't need the Viper. Flew it more then enough in Strike Commander and Falcon 4.0, so it seemed somehow "boring" to me. But then I bought it day one, and since day one I'm not flying anything else. I just love that plane! Sure, it is lacking a lot of systems and a few bugs are very annoying (can't rearm chaff and flares) but beside this it is just awesome! Can it do A2A? Yes. Can it do A2G? Yes. So I'm happy and I'm looking forward towards the evolution of this (in my oppinion) masterpiece of ED to come.

Remember: "Laser on" does not mean that you are lasing You still have to press the trigger and hold the trigger to fire the laser...

Put the "dogfight switch" back to neutral. At least I have this mapped on my hotas Maybe try looking for dogfight "neutral" or "center" in the settings

Just finished your missions 1 & 2. They are fantastic! Great work with the voiceovers. I was like "wtf!?" when I heard Spudknockers voice in Mission 1. Very nice experience overall, great immersion! And thanks that you implemented voiceovers for people that can't differ between left and right... lol

Thanks Harker! I would be more then happy if we can carry 4 Mavs. That is enough to get most of the jobs done! Edit: Just watched the release trailer again, and there the Viper is carrying 4 Mavs.

You can also use the switch on the right side of the Cockpit to adjust your seatheight...

No Mavs, no JDAM at the moment. Hope they get released soon. Since we're on that topic: How many Mavs and JDAM is the Viper able to carry?

Hey guys, I am a little frustrated right now. I´m doing my best in evading SAMs and all that stuff, but it seems I´m always killed by IR missiles like Sidewinders, even though I dont get any missile warning (like I do for SAMs) Is there no warning for IR at all, or is it not implemented? I think the A10 and F/A 18 gave warnings for Radar and IR threads...

I have the mission a try yesterday. Very cool with all the voiceovers! But for me the F-16 is still too limited, according to all the "Destroy AAA" missions and all the Sams I had. So I guess I will try the Hornet next time, since I have more options against all the air defences...

Hi, I just tried your Caucasus map. As I approached the Tanker Texaco with the Viper I got cleared for contact, but he released a basket instead of the boom...

So I re-started it and everything was fine. As I said, I tuned the wrong frequencies. But on Mission 4 (AAR & Dogfight) Shell is not talking to me, so that I can not refuel. I´m behind the tanker, so I found it already with Tacan, and I´m on CH 7 VHF (141.00) but he doesn´t respond. Calling the tanker via the F10 Menu doesn´t work as well… P.S.: At the very begining there is a little mistake: Screen text says ATIS is on CH 2, but it is on CH 20 like the missions before.

He is. But for a "solid" lock you need to TMS up twice.

Yepp, the Viper is far more "aggressive" now, especially when you kick in full burners. Very enjoyable!

Ok, then I think I had the wrong UHF tuned… I took the one written in the briefing, think thats only Nellis... I will replay the first two missions then, Need to practice Formation flying anyway. ;-) Thanks for your work!

So I just flew Mission 2. It was counted as successful, i had the "press spacebar" comms all working, but during flight Springfield did not talk to me. Is this normal or what did I miss? Radion was on and frequencies according to the briefing...

Is it done? No. That is why it is called "early access". Will it ever be done? Yes! And till then Im enyoing the possibility to practice with the Viper and be somehow part of its Development. Im very happy with the Viper so far, so thank you ED and keep up the good work!

Unfortunately it is because logbook is buggy as hell...
