  1. Both are fun to fly, and on both aircraft you have to learn a lot. As said before the 10c is complete, while the F 16 is not. You should ask yourself: Do I want a ground pounder? Then choose the A10. And you are going to be slow. Or do you want a multi-purpose, fast jet? Then it is the F 16. I felt the Viper is (at the moment) pretty easy to learn and to fly...
  2. True words!
  3. If you are "good" on the A10c, you will be good on the Viper as well. Once you understood all the complex systems of the A10 it is easier to transfer that knowledge to another jet. I started with the A10 as well, and the Viper is not as complex as the Warthog, at least at the moment.
  4. Same here, Single player.
  5. Wags answered on YouTube that the F 18 doesn't have this feature in real life, so it won't come for the SIM as well. Point for the Viper :smartass:
  6. Really good update! A lot of work done by the team. Thank you, ED!
  7. Honestly, some people will always complain. Even when they get what they want, they still complain about not getting those things sooner. I would like to see two changes for ED: 1) A quick quiz about what EA means. If you fail, you can't buy EA. If you still want to buy, you loose your posting rights regarding everything that includes EA. 2) A "ignore button" for certain users, that you don't get all that negativity ALL THE TIME EVERYWHERE Thank you.
  8. For all the guys that think, the Hornet flies like a jet: Fly the Tomcat, then you know what flying a jet feels like! BTT: For me the Viper is much more agile and more aggressive than the Hornet. So I have no issues like some of you guys have.
  9. Guys, could you all just chill and move on? Thank you.
  10. I live in Baden Württemberg, not to far away from Rheinland Pfalz and recently there are a lot of F16 doing their training in my area. Guess they are from Spangdahlem.
  11. Bug. Reported already.
  12. +1
  13. As stated above, dcs doesn't realise all 3 positions of the switches. It recognizes on/off but not up/middle/down. Therefore I can't just select them in the options, unlike the a 10, where they are pre-set already. So I think I will give TARGET a try...
  14. That's one of the things I don't miss. Since the original tones are horrible, at least in my opinion
  15. Thanks for the replies, both of you. Have to check it as soon as I have the chance to... Brakes aren't set as axis, that I know for sure! The other mapping thing looks pretty complicated...
  16. Just finished your SP Mission! I enjoyed it a lot, great work with the voiceovers in different dialects! Adds a lot to the feeling of the mission! Thank you!
  17. Hey guys, I would like to adjust my warthog now fully to the Viper. For this purpose, I would like to use the metal switches as well. But somehow they don't get identified as 3-way switches. Example given: I would like to map my autopilot select switch on the warthog to the autopilot in the Viper. So that switch down on the warthog is the same like it is on the autopilot switch in the Viper. And also I'm struggling with my TFRP. I can use them for rudder controls, but can't use the wheel brake on them... Any help is highly appreciated.
  18. At least this sounds to me like you enabled the dogfight mode, while pushing all your buttons to see what's wrong with your tgp...
  19. Unfortunately that is a bug, that is already reported. So at the moment it is very likely, that you screw your flightplan while slewing around with the TGP
  20. Same here. First I thought you are just a typical "complainer", now I know you are just worried about the future of ED and our hobby.
  21. Arctander, I think we are all on the same page here. As a kid I loved planes and played simulations like Strike Commander, Birds of Prey, Comanche and so on. But all of a sudden the military sims just died. I found out by YouTube that there is something like DCS. And I'm so happy and thankfully that ED "reanimated" my, or let's better say, our hobby. And while I agree that surely there's not everything perfect, I just think that all those complaining and whining threads are not making anything better. In fact, I believe that it takes time away from the actual development, because every time they want to fix something they have to react to this whining and change their plans. That for sure slows down the development as well. I fully understand if people are impatience and they want to get the best out of their hobby, but complaining and even ranting (like some do) isn't making the problem any better. Be here, be patient, report bugs if you find them and just be happy that ED is supporting a market that was dead already. At least that is my oppinion, whilst fully respecting yours.
  22. Exactly. Of course, at the moment the Hornet is further down the road in it's development. But the Viper will follow for sure, and there is plenty to practice (looking at you, Air-to-air refueling) so I don't feel that I'm wasting my time. For me personally the Viper feels much more "sexy" than the Hornet. I just love that plane, so I'm only flying the Viper at the moment even though I have much more "complete" modules. The Viper just rocks.
  23. Wie heißt denn der Kanal? Unter F18 DCS deutsch finde ich nichts...
  24. +1! Good to hear that ED is already working on it...
