Any updates on this??

I'm another Orion user, and very happy with my purchase, I also own the TM warthog combo, but in all honesty prefer the WW Orion, considering it's still a fairly new product, there is always bound to be some parts that slip through QA/QC and have issue, both Virpil and TM have also had issues with products in the past.

I have to weigh up the pro's and cons (see what I did there? lol) the shipping cost is pretty reasonable, but I have a feeling the Thailand customs might slap an import tax onto it, and I'd end up paying double the actual value. I like the concept/idea, I just need to see if I can come up with an alternative option

So is slander and defamation, it's a fine line, and to be honest, the guy complaining hasn't exactly helped himself has he? Ranting and raving doesn't resolve issues, sure he has a grievance, but there's way of doing it, and resolving them. There are literally thousands of Orion users without any issues, and it's par for the course that some units that are mass produced would slip through the cracks, but chopsing off on platforms like this doesn't really help. Calling customer services an asshole is probably not the best way to resolve the case.

To the OPIt's worth it, like every other product in the world, some defects slip past the QC, and some owners have had issues, I have used mine almost daily since I bought it, packed it up and thrown it into my cabin bag for 2 trips back home to Thailand and not had any noticeable issues, the joystick did have a slight creaking sound for a while, but that's gone, flown close to 100hrs in the F18 alone with it, I'm a very satisfied customer.

How do you do CAT launches ? I can see the AI lower their launch bars, unfold their wings, and launch but I can't seem to lower mine, nor hook up to the catapult shuttle

Yes, that's correct, I have the latest open beta that included the Forrestal, but for whatever reason when I set the time stamp to 1988 or there about and try to add the new Forrestal, it doesn't show up in the drop down box. I think there is a possible conflict with another addon, possibly the VSN A6A as that also doesn't show in my aircraft drop downs, I just have not got around to editing any of the DCS missions yet to see what's the score

Dumb question perhaps, but I don't seem to be able to place the Forrestal in the ME, even if I set the timestamp/date to 1988.. It doesn't appear in the drop down list.. Yes I have the F14 module too

It's light enough to put into a carry on, I've taken mine to and from my work place in the Middle East back to Thailand in my laptop bag, didn't even need to take the throttle handles off, it sat nicely on the bottom of the bag, my laptop battery weighs about the same as the Throttle base.. this way I know it's never going to be in "lost luggage" it's about a 1/10th of the weight of the TM warthog.

Still not seeing the Mossie in the list ?

Just taken the Mossie for the Channel map tour, it's pretty damn sweet.. I even managed to land ! The sounds are awesome, I will need to add curves to my wingwing Orion, as she was extremely sensitive to begin with, so settled with a deadzone of 10 and a curve in both pitch and roll of also 10. When I'm flying and hit what I'm guessing is a -negative G pushover, the throttles cut momentarily, I'm guessing this is perfectly normal? Initial impression is that it's going to become my go to "warbird" ... excellent job ED.

Yeah, I did the same, and also tried the folder in my saved games, and still no joy. I will maybe try and set up a different _Mods folder and see if I can get it to work... okay, I clicked on the little "historic clock" and it's shown up. All good now

I have it set up the exact same was as I have the CJS superbug and the lahak/IDF F16I Sufa mods F:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\_OVGME_MODS\FA-18D Hornet Run OVGME and select the F18D, check the ME and zero changes as an alternative for JGSME I have it this way : F:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\_MODS\FA-18D Hornet Run JGSME and again.. no joy. If I run either the Superbug, or the Sufa it works fine, these are seen in the ME.

It doesn't show as either AI for me, tried using JGSME as directed in the OP, didn't show up in my list of aircraft. Tried OVGME.. same as above..

does this till work? I tried both JGSME and OVGME, neither of them could get the aircraft to show/replace the F18C

There was a Jaguar GR1 in the old 2.5 version mate
