  1. Define fine?? Everything on max? with a constant 60 FPS ?
  2. That's exactly what I'm looking for!! thanks mate Nice looking Tonka's too
  3. Would you consider sharing these models? :D So to correct this error, the "weapons" part needs to be shit canned, I'm heading back overseas tomorrow night, back to the grind, will try this out shortly, as packing my shit up, and thinking how to get my TM16000 into my cabin bag hahahaha
  4. I'm pulling my hair out here mate, tried the synatx you've written, and neither colours are showing, the default one is !! Arggghhhhhhh LOL. If I delete the weapons line from the description, it selects the tornado-wpns.bmp from the temp folder If I leave the line it, it selects the default tornado-wpns.bmp I need to see the actual dcs description.lua for their Tornado GR4 to see if there's a typo in my lua.
  5. Thanks mate, will give it a bash, so far it's not doing what it should, the texture from the Temp Folder is overwriting it, might have a typo going on somewhere that's stopping this from working. Appreciate the help though.
  6. How would I go about using 2-3 different variations of that "weapons" texture, rather than keep replacing the one in the temp folder, depending on the colour schemes I'm flying? EG. If I added the pink textures and called them "tornado-wpns-1.bmp" and had this line in their description.luas, would they only use the one from the temp folder? Same with the all grey version, but with a different number syntax? I keep having to swap them out to take screenshots etc.
  7. Another new WiP, this time a more weathered looking GR4, with lighter panels that have been replaced etc.
  8. I've no idea tbh, but I'm the same mind as yourself, a 1070i cost more than my current rig, which has a 4gb 970, which actually does perform not too bad fully maxed (apart from civi traffic). My laptop has better specs than this dinosaur (i5 4460 @320mhz and GTX970) The asus has an i7, and a 1050 plus 32 GB ram, so will use that for DCS when I'm off back overseas at the weekend.
  9. FWIW, the 1070i isn't any cheaper in Thailand either
  10. Yes, they work really well in 2.5
  11. And some more, on the ground, with the excellent BFVG 2 pack.
  12. Yes, but somewhere either in the description.lua, the model defines which number set that it will use, I had the same issues, for numbering my Tornado's using proper serials in the ME, and eg 789 would display 666. You need to find out a Stencil that goes past 6
  13. It depends on the tga number set you use I believe, by default it doesn't go past 6.
  14. Nothing in 2 years?? It would be a fair presumption that this project is deader than a dead thing.
  15. yep, it worked a treat, thanks for you help !
  16. nice models!! Never thought about the temp folder in bazar thanks, will give that a go. How do I link the texture to the livery??
  17. Good day to all. I've finally located the Tornado GR4 weapons texture for the BOZ, Sky Shadow and fuel tanks, and would like to edit them so they look a lot better than the low quality current file. My question is twofold, how do I make that entry into the description.lua, so that it shows up in the livery of choice? EG, the desert pink Tonka's, I've created a desert pink weapons texture, but it still shows the default once in the cockpit/external views. The description.lua is like this. livery = { {"fuz", 0, "tornadotex1.bmp", false}, {"wings", 0, "tornadotex4.bmp", false}, {"fuz-metal", 0, "Tornado-tex1-00.BMP", true}, {"fin", 0, "tornadotex2.bmp", false}, {"canopy", 0, "tornadotex3.bmp", false}, {"pilons", 0, "Tornado-pilons-EN.bmp", false}, {"gear", 0, "Tornadotex5.bmp", false}, {"gearsteel", 0, "Tornadotex5.bmp", true}, {"nose", 0, "tornadotex1.bmp", false}, {"weapons", 0, "tornado-wpns.bmp", true}, {"glass", 0, "cockp-glass-standart", false}, } name = "ZA730 9 Squadron OP Granby" countries = { "UK", } The blue is the added line, and the texture itself is in the same folder as all the rest of the textures. I've tried with both the true and false statements, the default texture still shows.. I have a feeling that the "weapons" selection, needs to reflect what the ECM stuff is classed as, but cannot find how it's named. The second part would then be, do I have to put the retextured file back into the original zip it was extracted from? There's actually 6 different textures for the same part(s) within the zip. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  18. Pretty sure these are legacy aircraft from FC You can view them with the modelviewer, and navigate to where the edm shapes are (bazar\world\shapes)
  19. My latest (WiP)skins for the Tonka's, this time Op Granby 1991
  20. That's down to the new Deferred Shading, the specular maps need to be revamped on some of the VSN addons, the Tornado GR4 has the same issues.
  21. All you need to do is find the "cockp-glass-standart.dds" and make sure it's in the section that has the description.lua for each of the squadrons available for the GR4 and IDS variants. it's a missing texture, if you look at the description.lua, it will mention the above texture, if it's not in the same folder, it causes the missing texture issue.
  22. Drop any of the DCS fighters to 200' and push them to 450 Knots, with a decent FOV through the Caucus Valleys, pretty sure there isn't much different with the way speed is represented, most end users don't have 270-360 vision, unless they're using VR. The sensation of speed for me isn't an issue, but the feeling of altitude is way off. If you take any aircraft up to 12-13,000 feet, and look down, it looks nothing like 2.5 miles down, the scaling is poor, as in way over scaled, and it looks more like 5-6000' as opposed to 12-13,000'. As a recreational skydiver, with 85 jumps, mostly from 12-13K feet, all over the glob, the terrain objects looks too over scaled, compared to what it should be, look at the main buildings, and the lush tree's, they're mahoosive compared to reality.
  23. Pointless video, as the 2nd part is from a video game, and isn't real, which means the credibility of the whole video is called into question.
  24. Yes, they work, the controls are mapped to the ground lights I believe, but yeah. for sure they work.
  25. Does this surprise you? During both Gulf Wars, SAM's were being launched in huge numbers, with very little Ground to Air Kills, most of the Coalition losses for Desert Storm to SAM's and AAA were due to them operating within the missiles envelope, in Iraqi Freedom, the mission planners were a lot smarter. The IDF would have had their ECW aircraft jamming etc, without knowing the full details, this could have just been a lucky shot. What's more interesting to me is that, the much vaunted S-300 systems the Russians claim they had fully operational in Syria, wasn't used/activated/ fired towards the IDF Strike packet. Things in the Region are going to get very interesting indeed.
