Yeah, they have to be somewhere within the FCS folder, but it's not under anything obvious like "Tornado_IDS" :megalol: so the search continues!!

The VSN Tornado's are very good indeed, they work pretty well with 2.5, I use the A10_Pit with mine, also tweaked the .lua to let it carry different ordnance (probably not realisti ones though) I'm working on a couple more Op Telic textures, I'm having a blast flying the VSN Tonka, I think it's using the F15 FM, give it a go, it's well worth it, and if the VSN guys update it themselves to 2.5, I'll give them the Op Telic textures too if they want them.

Aye, that makes sense mate, thanks for the info.
-
Thanks, appreciated, now to find those pesky GR4 Fuel Tanks, and ECM stuff, and give them some TLC too.
-
I'm a massive Tonka Fan, and the VSN_GR4 with a little bit of tweaking whets my appetite, so I decided to rustle up some Op Telic air frames, the bomb tally's don't quite look right, but these were all made today..

Did you guys delete your downloads section per chance?
-
Thanks Raz0+r very much appreciative of all the work you guys are doing.

I'd say the DCS F18 is at least 2-3 months away, the F14 module, maybe longer, so until then, the VSN aircraft work fine for me, even landing hasn't been a problem, mind you, I'm having to use a game controller till my new stick arrives. I've seen plenty YT videos where the F18C's take off and and in 2.2 no probs.
-
Just a follow up mate, how would I add CCIP mode to the Tornado GR4? It has CCRP only at the moment, I'd like to practice bombing runs using this aircraft, and method. It's awesome how these birds look at 2.5

Sounds very much like it :helpsmilie:

You should be able to find them in your _downloads folder, in the main directory.
-
You might have cancelled the download, but if the Torrents are still there, they will keep trying to download it, and that's it's still showing 30GB +
-
Superb!!
-
delete everything in your _downloads folder. I just ran the hotfix, and it was about 1.3 GB and now it says I'm running the latest version.
-
Funny enough, I just checked out my monitor, and it was set to 70/70 for Brightness and contrast, have knocked it back to 50/50 and will see how DCS looks now :smilewink:

Batumi -1200 (Mid day) 01 JUNE 2011 flying North, East, South and West, then zoomed out in perspective. F5E module, same settings as before, all around 7-10K feet, I don't see anything glaringly wrong with the lighting, other than the shadows being blocky, but other than that, there's no dark pit there, You don't get much higher time wise than 12 noon, on the 1st of June, on a clear day.. Is this not acceptable in your eyes ?
-
So the feeling of speed was better in 1.58/2.2 then?
-
Massive differences and good video to highlight them
-
Ahhhhh yes, I see where that comes from now, I took the raw speed, and never converted it down.. no wonder my land nav skills were always crap!!
-
I think your calculations are way off, 1000km/h for 3,700M should take 3-4 seconds surely? If it's going to take you 13 seconds, you're Speed over ground would be around 270 KM/H. If it took you 7-8 seconds, your SOG would be around 438 KM/H If you were flying at 100 KM/H it would take you 35 seconds. Was the 1000 KM/H a typo??
-
Pretty much the same way I'm seeing it.
-
Try lowering your resolution to the max it's shipped with, as in 1920 x 1080, as you're forcing it to produce a higher resolution it wasn't designed for.
-
You can hardly blame the responses you received, when you state the only way you can see smoothness is by looking at the sky, so you began with a hyperbolic statement really. I to have a 970, 16GB RAM and I see an improvement over 2.2/1.58 but that's maybe down to doing a fresh install, and no relics left over from the other 2 versions, and it runs pretty smooth for me, with more or less everything bar civilian traffic ramped up to high. Forcing the screen resolutions well above the card standard of course will have some sort of impact, especially when it's not an upgrade per say, but a brand new map.. Your course of action to see where the best performance for 2.5 for you personally, is to scale everything back to low, and standard resolution, and increase bit by bit till you find that acceptable smoothness perhaps?
