All jets seem to be affected, EVERYTHING HAS TRAINING WHEELS! fingers crossed its an ED promo for the free period. the unbelievable flying going on right now is hysterical to say the least. hanging up the scarf until this mess is resolved, its unplayable, with one exception, back seat in a tomcat sipping a big ol' cup of well you know what.

I dont believe I'm doing anything wrong but with TGP and GBU24's they seem to drop long. I release on cue in TGP, but it seems to be 10 secs late. This is in fact if the GBU24's are tracking the laser, cannot confirm this however.

Use stabilize + attitude hold Steady as a rock.

Yes it moves. As said above, set to manual mode and dial the needle on the dash. Total movement is 200mm I think. I've seen 55% at 55k feet M2.2 IAS about 750kph but then you hit the magic mach limit and she goes cold. Very disappointing, I've pushed the SU33 to M2.5 and even M2.9 in a dive.

Double check that they are even loaded, most times I have to rearm 2x. As far as sounds go I've heard them fire and sometimes dont hear a thing. Same with gear, sometimes silent, sometimes I swear Ivan is sledgehammering them into place.

also note you have negative closure, helping bandit to out run the freedom seeds.

always learning something new with this mig, its got so many tricks up its sleeve. not to get to far off topic, concerning the OP, i just learned about the ALU the other night. switching the ALU from auto to man will solve all the pitch sensitivity issues the OP is having. the indicator dial is below the nose cone dial, needle in the 3 oclock position is lower sensitivity and 9 oclock higher. yes i know its a hydraulic pressure regulator basically, but i think its the solution the OP is asking for. This mig is quickly becoming a favorite for me, all the FBW jets just seem boring now.

its an awesome little jet, every time i think something is broken i learn it was the loose nut behind the stick. it definitely needs to stay fast, i've found most issues with handling is resolved by stepping it up 750kph+ seems like the comfort zone. Its been like learning to walk again, i still find myself thinking knots, "oh i've got 400 on the jet" yeah right bud, at 400kph she's falling outta the sky!

as i feared, i'm an idiot. this mig continues to surprise me, just when i thought i had it figured out. i thought the tomcat was a handful, boy was i wrong.

only started flying it a few days ago, its clearly messed up, in cockpit AoA reports 10 deg but extern cam shows 3 deg. engine is also underpowered from what i can tell, full mill is needed to hold glide slope or 95%ish. AP and trim also broke, likely related to above issue with AoA. its a shame, truely a fun mig, but i have been learning to fly a lame donkey and will need to relearn everything.

Agreed, I stick to inferno PvE, semi random encounters and if you like CAP you can support the ground pounders. Although it's just a stop gap until we get proper dynamic online campaigns with moving front lines and resource capture/suppression. I can dream right?

Trying to gain any sort of air dominance in MP is a waste. Not possible with unlimited respawns and auto starts. Turn the radar off, get her chooching at low level, close in with Awacs calls at 30nm radar on but dont even lock just point nose in general direction pump off 4 to 6 PH like your daddy pays for em them radar off and RTB. If that air quake stuff suits you...

+1 tomcat mirror at 12 o'clock looks like it was used to trim mustaches not check 6.

get learnt on the MLC (main lobe clutter) and more so, how to switch it off to find those targets with low closure. also turn the knobs around the DDD up to max, dont remember names, just crank them all up except "Erase" there are 3 including Erase knob. this is help targets to show much better on DDD while in pulse search, even out to 80-90nm!

With the new options for separate audio output channels, all other radio ect. respect the user selection but not jester or the tape deck. Probably in the pipeline for undate but I thought I'd post it. Excellent work btw fwit heatblur! ????

This has been my experience, generally pure TWS seems useless in 90% of engagements. I would add to the above the ability to engage more than 2 targets with pure TWS. But when would you really be in that situation? have 8 fat dumb and happy bombers flying in formation nose on? unlikely. Far better to nibble at the edge 2 targets at a time, which RWS/LTWS supports just fine. I would also point that as there seems to be no hotas for switching radar modes RWS/TWS it seems pure TWS is really a specific "tool" for a specific job. ie. bomber formations, and tight packs of fighters/bombers.

I've had same problem online Seems to be more related to rearming at a FARP then anything else. One mission I shot 48 or more with laser switch in on position the whole mission. Another mission 12 shot, reload at farp and they wouldn't track and just dove into the dirt.

that is exactly my thoughts, nice to hear someone has implemented this. Definitely need to test the Aim7 cold shots myself, seems like it should work in theory. As for TCS searching, with some good AWACS DL it shouldnt be too difficult to find a bird, even more so if he's silhouette against the sky. I'll need to try out the different lock modes for TCS and experiment. Just had me thinking, such an old Jet (F14) had an IRST then a TCS passive track system. Then I hear the F35 has an IRST passive track system and I had to think they wouldn't have kept it if it wasn't effective. Wonders why the hornet doesnt have a passive track, or is the HMCS and some eagle eyes the only tracking system needed.
-
I feel the TCS is underutilized currently. Its ability to hold a lock on what appears to be a mosquito is amazing. I won't even get into the tactical advantage of not emitting signals to the target. Long story short we really need some functionality with Jester to capitalize on this system, like launching an aim7 and telling Jester to go Rudolph ( slave radar flood mode ) like 4 seconds before impact. Almost like a poor man's fox3 when I think about it.

When selecting a wp you get relevant info on top right corner. I understand the format as Bearing / range Time on target Waypoint name Fuel remaining on target And some mystery number My question is, what is the mystery number? It’s usually two digit < 20 I can’t correlate it with any other info from waypoint subpage or FPAS Also noticed FPAS fuel remaining and wp fuel remaining on target don’t agree

[REPORTED] SSS Depress Chnges Point/Area Track
Longiron replied to Jetguy06's topic in Bugs and Problems
Same here Haven’t tested with TGP on left DDI or AMPCD Also when changing SOI to left DDI or HUD and back to right DDI the TGP track mode changes when it becomes SOI
