I don’t understand the first detent. It just complains about ballistic limits all the time and makes the rocket pods nope out
-
Seems strange to make a video and post about an unreleased feature. Bit of a tease imo
-
When is it live? Video says upcoming and I couldn’t get it working last night

4790k 3070 here. 4k and 2x 1.5x AA is usually at least 30fps apart from NVG/Flir in the eye after dark. 16gb slow ram and DCS on a separate SSD

When you smoothly pull collective, the numbers jump around, around 20-30% they drop and raise again making it seem like there’s an invisible curve in my collective. Is this normal and what causes it if it’s not a problem with my setup thanks

Thanks. I must have been tired. It’s working now, I was in the wrong secrion
-
Ok thanks. Leaving the springs in would make it easier to go back to jets

Working my way through mapping the controls. I’ve mapped many other sims and modules fine before with no issue. so far I’ve found the WAS 4 way doesn’t do anything whether mapped to hotas buttons or keyboard shortcuts. Clicking the stick on screen works fine. also 1st and 2nd trigger detents are both firing the cannon. this is in the cannon tutorial thanks

If my joystick and pedals stay where I leave them, why would I need to use force trim? I’ve trialled the huey, gazelle and flown the Blackhawk for a bit using my gunfighter with no springs and a bit of clutch and just can’t deal with the Apache yet. Seems to be almost impossible to set a target torque level or get it going in a straight line without crazy inputs.

CPG in co-op with KB/mouse/Xbox controller and no head tracking
McGraw posted a topic in DCS: AH-64D
I have a VKB Gunfighter/TWCS with nyogel/OpenTrack tracker. I'm fairly competent at flying aircraft and copters. The only real hope I have of a coop partner is my dad who I normally play FPS with (Ready or Not currently) but I'd really like to get the Apache. He fancies giving it a go too. We will use the trial when it becomes available but realistically, is it possible to KB and Mouse (or maybe xbox pad) as CPG and be effective? He's 71 now and is familiar with looking around and cockpit control manipulation due to train simulators so it won't be completely alien to him (he has gamed for 35 years) but he won't be getting custom hardware. What's the general consensus? Thanks. -
VKB GLADIATOR NXT - Entry Level Taken to the NXT Level
McGraw replied to UIV's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
Making your own is half the fun. get Chuck’s guide and map what you want -
I prefer analogue for pitch trim. Centre press to reset

I just changed my analogue hats to behave as 4 ways with push.

My review of the VKB MCG Ultimate stick
McGraw replied to HunchyTheHuncher's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
nice review and good tunes. Looks good and would likely enjoy if I swapped to it from my Pro. The thing is though, unless the rest of your setup is complete and you have every other thing you wish for in the world, why would you spend a chunk of money on upgrading to this? -
Reset and reprogram with VKB config. make sure no double maps in anti micro or similar
-
Yes but the FCR finds ground movers so much quicker
-
You’re SOL without the ground radar or steer points in the general location of targets.
-
I use it for landing gear. Was using it for pickle but was too hard to pull 1st stage on the other trigger at the same time
-
I use a VKB gunfighter. They are amazing. I also use a TM TWCS modded with Nyogel. Does the job. might get the VKB throttle when it comes out but I’m not unhappy with what I have

I waited 6 months to get my GF2 after pre-order from Oct 18 to April 19. And that was after keeping an eye on the website multiple times a day for weeks beforehand. You have to really want this gear!
-
I only upgraded the cams. Don’t see any point in upgrading the electronics.
-
Went for it and glad I did. General feel and centring definitely improved.
-
Love my opentrack set up. Cost me about £15.

Thinking of upgrading my MK2 to MK3 cams and maybe the electronics. Only gripe I have with my MK2 is that it doesn't self centre with the light springs I use. Wil the new cams help with this? All the movement is registered I just have to make sure it's centered myself. No sign of her or corrosion and feels very smooth
