How to get in Dogfight mode with X52?
Buschwick replied to Mykey1202's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Remember to map a key to recenter that switch too...to get out of dgft mode. -
Guns or retarded bombs.

[MISSING LOG FILES] DCS Crashes on F16 Jet Start
Buschwick replied to TX_Reaper's topic in Bugs and Problems
You have audio issues in DCS ever? -
Been flying a falcon since 1998, went through it all with the others through the years and it's been alot of fun. That said....this feels more real I guess as far as the flight model goes. It makes more sense or at least it's more believable I guess? It's hard to explain. I understand this is an early access but as far as weapons, IFF, radio, and radar systems go, it's a little lacking for launch IMO. Launching an F-16 C without A-G radar or mavs is like launching the A-10 without...mavs. Kinda feel like I got a prototype here. I dont regret buying it at all. It was inevitable cause it's my favorite plane, and for the next many time I wanna fly an F16 I'm launching dcs. Alot of work needs to be done. It's a fantastic start...I just hope progress is really made on this one.

That's just a countdown to when the discount ends...so I'm only speculating that it means that's when it's available.
-
But russia has like 26 times zones::smartass: I just looked at Steam. The countdown coincides with noon EST. 2 hours 45 minutes left at time of this posting.
-
lol. it's a christmas like vibe in this thread
-
No dude, calmdown...this is an ED early access...it's tape 1.2.
-
I was gonna say there's about 983 things that they need to address before something like this, if it even has any merit.
-
If you want that much realism you shouldn't be using external views anyway. Not all gear behave the same man. Fact.
-
Edit: nevermind I didn't read this thread thoroughly :D Not being able the change the bombs' code in flight is a real thing though...not gonna change. Don't think Wags was pointing out a WIP on that one...just stating how it works. Maybe the rearm menu will have the ability to set the bombs' codes.
-
And is auto-lasing going to be implemented? OP it won't work. Second trigger detent will be the gun which is always hot with master arm on.
-
Is this what we're supposed to do after getting damaged and the starboard engine won't start? Your game within a game is prolly bugged too.
-
Might having something to do with the transonic region as it's stressful with parts of the plane being supersonic while others are not. Some parts of the plane can actually be at Mach 1.2 while the plane itself is just hitting Mach 1. And on the low side of the region the plane can be at Mach .8 while air over the wings is Mach 1.

Should the engine want to quit when inverted / negative Gs ?
Buschwick replied to Anatoli-Kagari9's topic in DCS: I-16
Then radial engines solved that! Half of the power plant was upside down at all times! -
Is there a way to raise the visor on the pilot/RIO models?
Buschwick replied to MobiSev's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
i don't imagine HB is ready for all of the inevitable complaints about how many freckles or eyelashes the cg faces have if they did lift the visors. "His pupils don't adjust to different lighting conditions...they're always the same size! When will this be fixed?!" -
[BUG] Phoenix pallettes dont come back after AIM7 laoded and removed
Buschwick replied to Pikey's topic in Bugs and Problems
There's an option to remove pylon on all 4 tunnel stations. You'll see a faint X as the visual in the box. -
I think the switch is up under the right side of the canopy above the right side panel. Not really visible as you're sitting in the cockpit. If they do make a clicks pot for it though it still won't be visible. Dunno about the rio lights though. Sorry.

I noticed that the passing zones on the roads aren't accurate. It's become noticeable to me that roads continue to be marked as legal passing zones around tight corners and hills. Unless the civil engineers were bucking for some bad collisions I'd say that's a mistake. Can this be looked into? Thanks :)

Before the recent updates this knob was also used to wind up the engines.
-
No not trying anything fancy. The only thing I wanted to change was the paddle curve and the GUI accomplishes that perfectly.
-
Thank you. :) I got everything solved now. Took me till now with alot of frustration involved. Not trying left and right braking. I have the paddle mapped so anything centered and left is zero brake input, and centered to right is 0-100% for the brakes, effectively rendering the left paddle useless, but right paddle has full control of both brakes with the spring loaded paddle returning brake pressure to zero. That was not an issue, other than not being able to do that within DCS. I would've never went further than plug and play had that been the case. I eventually found out that TMs own software, Target, has no idea wtf to do with my setup...at all. It defaults to axis being mapped to multiple controllers...hat switch inputs not being reported as DXbuttons, therefore not detected in game. Windows and DCS knew what was going on just fine till I fired up a target profile. Everything needed to be setup manually so I had to learn how to do that (mostly what DX controlled buttons are). Then I couldn't figure out how the F to save the changes. Found out you HAVE to have a name for assignments... Got it working though. It's just really terrible software.
