  1. Thanks for the tip mate, seems alot of work though when ED could just fix the issue though :( I may go down that route or I may just persevere as I have been until I get pedals. @mod @Nineline @Bignewy, please can you confirm that this cannot be incorporated?:helpsmilie:
  2. Yeah sounds about right, not to mention that the Jeff is still a WiP campaign and so the Harrier should be considered so aswell although it has not been added to early access as yet. The F16 will definately have one campaign at least but i will be extremely disappointed if they make it a payware addon considering the cost of the module
  3. Got the desert tiger 76 dynamic campaign on for now so will keep me busy but the hurt still remains. ED has cut me deep
  4. That may be a steam controller settings issue as I have personally never experienced this i am afraid. :( Try verifying the game files aswell see if that helps at all. If all else fails raise a support ticket with ED https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/
  5. A10C has 4 campaigns, Gazelle has 1, Mi8 has 1, Ka-50 (i think) has 1 at least. so that's an extra 4 modules onto your 14 = 18 with campaigns. I also commented that some are in progress such as the harrier which will have one, the f16 i would be amazed at not getting one also. But we wont include those as having one for now. There are 24 modules excluding trainers (because why would they have a campaign for a trainer?) so 90% of 24 = 21.6 90% of 21.6 = 19.44 18 modules have campaigns so yes i was wrong by a margin of 8% I believe....:book::) So okay "I bought 90% of the modules available and 82% of those have a campaign" is maybe more to the point. (It's probably still not exact but it's better than it was) Anyhoo, Thanks for pointing out all the modules lacking campaigns as the majority of them are ED modules so highlights the problem well. I own the F5, F-86, Spitfire,Anton, Harrier, F16, Yak52 and I-16 so i will copy my post to each of those forum sections too i guess. The other thing i would point out regarding your list is that most on there are retailing for $49.99 but the F5 retails for $59.99 so you would hope for a campaign for the extra $$.
  6. Yeah that's the maple flag one. I believe the hornet one is pretty much a copy paste job so not keen to buy it for F5 aswell. There's some community made campaigns which I am sure will be fun too but an official campaign should be included with all modules in my opinion. Especially with the more simple modules (systems wise etc.)
  7. Meh...well I may have read too much into it as you gave me some stick recently elsewhere on the forums and I thought "oh here we go again...". I stand by my points so far regarding the modules though, it would be lovely if ED spread the love around a bit more with the mission making. I love the 3rd party campaigns i have but i really like the official ones when they are available No harm done man, i was just flying the L39 pattern mission which i believe you had a hand in so thanks for that at least (and the Jeff training too)
  8. Listen...she's a beauty and I am always happy with the DCS modules (barring one, maybe two 3rd party modules) but you can't help but feel a tiny bit cheated when you buy a module that's been around for a while and you have a tiny fraction of what other modules offer. Look at the Hornet for example, it has missions coming out of every crevice...
  9. then i have no more to say as it should work i guess
  10. That's the one yeah sorry my bad. I knew something happened to the fuel system  cheers
  11. I did, I bought 90% of the available modules and 90% come with at least some kind of campaign or work in progress campaign. The F5 has been around for a long time and has... nada. And as I said the free trial event showed a campaign of some description which LED ME TO BELIEVE there would be a campaign included. My apologies for not delving through the archives to see if one existed but i can't imagine how a new user buying their first module would feel when they got the F5 and found the same only to be retorted on the forums with such a petty argument as yours.
  12. Just bought this module and am feeling let down to see it has no campaign. When I tried it in the free trial it had at least a "sample campaign" or something in there so I figured you'd get a real campaign or two when/if you bought it. And no...I do not accept that the Maple Flag campaign being available is substitution for the lack of included campaign as I have the MF campaign for the hornet and it sits gathering dust to be honest. It's the same with the spitfire, I had to go and buy a campaign... There's no consistency of product with the modules. When can we expect a free campaign for the modules that are lacking them ED? If there is one in the pipeline then fine, I have never really read much on the F5 forum as not owning the module till now.
  13. Do you not have to also flip the pressure paddle or is it just the pump? I can't remember it's been a while but something to do with freezing or something Edit: If you have not engaged the fuel pump and you get a warning light then flip the pressure paddle and then turn fuel pump on, I believe. If in doubt...wobble wobble wobble wobble wobble wobble wobble
  14. In other simulators I use the left/right slider on the back the throttle stick to brake left or right respectively. Pictured as "thrust left/right" in image However, as far as I can tell, when I try to bind this to wheel brakes in DCS it is either set to both and goes from 0=100% regardless of pressure or can only be set to a left or right brake and even then you do not get the benefit of the gradual press featured in the HOTAS. In other sims I can gradually brake left/right which really helps with landing as opposed to taking my hand off the controls and tapping "W" on the keyboard or applying full brake pressure with the hotas binding. I can lower the saturation but that really isn't a solution. What i would like is for DCS to recognize this slider for the axis that it is and respond correctly. Is this already possible or can it be looked at? I know it's a cheap hotas but it does the job for now and yes, i should just buy rudder pedals but i have got WAY too many expensive hobbies and they are somewhere down the list at present
  15. If you pop both canopies in flight only the front one rips off. (Nice blackout effect on that btw :) )
  16. Are you landing it on a runway or on the grass?
  17. Hello, Attached shot is after landing on the Supercarrier Case I Persian Gulf mission included with the Hornet/SC modules. The wind direction is displayed but the speed is not there yet my aircraft is bobbing merrily away at 12000 feet. Hopefully you can fix this along with the rest of the progress being made with the Hornet this month :)
  18. I like the A4 and 339 mods also but god help you if you want to file a crash log or similar because the first advice is remove all mods. Saying this, i bought the Mig21 a whiles back and pretty much left it in the hangar due to a constant issue with the chute not deploying after an air start mission. Removed all mods and hey presto, haven't seen it happen again. I will let you make what you want of that but it was enough to put me off non-SDK mods for now at least. They 100% do have a place in the community though and I am not trying to detract from the hours of work and effort the modders make. Their commitment is outstanding at times
  19. Ah right, i will make sure i am in the correct slot next time. Thanks for feedback
  20. ** Elbows ribs and gives intense sideye while whispering "duuude he said free..." **
  21. Yes, done all that. Unfortunately when DCS crashes it does not always successfully compile a crash log and often times I have to struggle to get to task manager to close the application down so not sure how much data they would provide in these situations. Also alot of the issue is with stuttering and poor performance so not always a complete crash either but as experienced yesterday it made dogfighting completely impossible as at times I would be staring at the underside of a frozen thunderbolt for many seconds before then snapping to the next frame which saw me a blazing wreck. Hopefully ED can change up their platform update strategy as discussed elsewhere and folks can move to Stable while retaining their expensive module access because this OB lark is getting hard to chew. :(
  22. While I appreciate the help, I have to giggle because tonight I reached my quota for uploads to the forum. I have run repair, deleted fxo/meta2 etc I don't know how many times. It is probably one of the 2500+ bugs being worked on at the moment so while I will wait patiently for the promised fix in the coming weeks, I can't promise I shall be quiet about it. ;) (No offence meant btw, it's not you!)
  23. Suffering with soooo many crashes recently it is really starting to grind. I mean, I just exited a dogfight (Anton v thunderbolts over the channel) due to extreme stuttering and the game almost crashed on exiting. I then decided "I know, I will drop the resolution for this dogfight from 1440 to 1080, because I am a patient consumer who understands that ED are trying to work through a rough patch and regardless of how much I or anyone else has invested in their softwares i do not own ED and therefor shall just suck it up for the time being...:noexpression: This is after uploading a crash log to Heatblur's section for the Viggen after the sim crashed when launching a missile. Anyhoo, in the end the game actually locked up and crashed when i applied the new resolution options. That really got to me, just had to get that off my chest to be honest. Especially after removing all mods and updating windows and drivers after last lot of crashes. I hate to go on especially after the boss has made a statement regarding the company's offerings of late but man...:noexpression::noexpression::noexpression:
  24. Just had a crash when i launched an RB-05. Log attached. Please advise if anything else is the cause. Side note: I Just reached my "Quota" for attachments, seemingly i am uploading too many crash logs to the DCS World Forums... :music_whistling::music_whistling::music_whistling: dcs.log-20200701-200345.zip
