If you fire either MG or cannons and while holding the fire button you activate the safety cover, the weapons will continue firing until you uncover and press the relevant trigger again. Can't be accurate surely?

Agreed, another sim using vulkan has had very little fps increase. All they have is FAR longer load in times, less stuttering because of the exceptionally long and large load in, and some god awful shadows rendering. No thanks... -
That's not a bad idea, i will figure out the final bearing to land pointing at the jump. Could even try a nice touch and go with a back flap or barrel roll upon leaving the flight deck :P

Easy, don't use generated quick missions. :) Just hop in the mission editor, stick an F5 and an enemy F14 and battle it out. The messages appear in Quick missions, i guess, to let the player know there's nothing left to hunt.

Hello, Dying to get this for CMO and DCS but a bit pricey for full version. I know sometimes folks get a discount for bulk so just wondering if anybody knows of any going?

Stop offering pre-purchase discounts and only offer a module/terrain etc when it launches to stable once the closed beta testers have had their way with it. Offer a discount for the first week or two of launch to stable. That way people are not forced to use OB to get access to their hard paid for modules. Servers would probably revert to stable for the most part too. The current system is a shambles and is only going to get worse. It also does nothing to instill confidence in me about the future of ED to be quite frank. With all this pushing things out too early and trying to launch module after module it makes me wonder if the books are actually balancing at all. Is it all because of working at a distance? Maybe a little but the problems have been going on far longer than the current pandemic. As i posted in another thread, the recent OBs feel more like open alphas and that needs to change but i don't think ED slowing things down is the answer i think they need a real change in strategy. That's my thoughts done for now lol Call me tomorrow for a different opinion :P

module manager > disable SU-33 > hit the delete (trash can) icon > reload DCS I think that's the right way? I had this with the SU-27 bit of a PITA

I understand perfectly the idea of beta as i partake in many and offer feedback when necessary but the question is are we truly receiving an "open beta" or an "open alpha". When ED do not even realize that you can't shoot down a flanker with 6 missiles of various calibers then something is being either done wrong, rushed or just skipped completely. Listen, it's not the end of the world, they will fix it soon enough i assure you but the discussion needs to be had between community and developer about how we can all move forward together out of this constant cycle. -
Got it working, looks great though could not get the wheel chocks removed after start up on quick start PG cold start mission

Hah, just saw in the log that i must have disabled it a while back to do some troubleshooting of a DCS bug. Will go activate it again i guess! :music_whistling: Cheers :smartass:

Ok, I just went and removed all my input folder and the A4E mod folder and re-downloaded from the download latest version link on project page. Stuck the stuff back where it goes in saved games folder alongside my MB339 mod and started DCS...but no A4E? Hmmm...what have i not done here?

It's like Donald Trump is personally running things man...when something blows up in his face he just shifts focus to something else while he tries to figure out what to do about problem number 1. I don't like to whine but jeez man it is getting silly. Might have to go back to stable and lose out on flying the channel for maybe 6 months or so? :cry: -

******d's still flying! I mean, functioning back lighting is awesome and bits falling off the warbirds is cool too but if i unload a full loadout onto one jet and cant down it then we need to talk -
Are there no IA missions/starts for the FC3 aircraft? Just went for an SU33 off the Kuz and couldn't see a quick start for it :(

Hi, On some of the Instant action missions on the channel and when setting up a quick dogfight in the ME i noticed that your wingmen don't seem to default to the frequencies you are set to, either this or their radios are off? I cannot communicate with my flight most of the time and only seems to happen with the spitfire. Any ideas?

This map will work better when Vulkan API launches in a couple weeks because as is in the Explain beta right now, the api loads all shaders initially instead of progressively so while fps will remain similar you loose the stutters. I would imagine this is at least a little of the thinking behind their approach to this map. That and making it look fug'n sweet
