We don't know how much time and effort each item on a changelog takes the team. The tomcat, i should imagine, has a larger number of devs working on it too so there's that but I am fairly certain if you were to get a look in to HB's financial summary you would see why lol. Give it time, we've got used to waiting after all, what's another month or two

yeah manifold pressure should be 7 minimum for level flight or there abouts. lower and the alarm sounds

I have never noticed much jittering in the clouds until today's update now they are bouncing around the sky in unison quite horrifically...

interesting reading guys thanks. Has anybody ran the numbers in dcs and compiled a report of their findings as to whether the dcs A8 is indeed underperforming or are we still at the stage of figuring out what numbers to expect?

I think some of you are blowing the suggestion out of proportion a little. It's his third post on the forums ffs, try be a little more civil. Cool idea though, i would love to fly the mach loop in DCS for starters Realistically though, if you were wanting to depict a russian attack op i guess you would be best to only model from Perth northwards and towards the gap. That would only leave mostly Sea and a couple of islands with radar sites but you could simulate russian carrier ops i guess but as others have said it wouldn't be much fun without better naval simulation going on down there. Apart from anything it is way to politically charged to ever be considered i would reckon

Why do the default loadouts provided by Razbam include loadouts which are incompatible such as this. I.e. "Mk-82 Support" loadout has 4xmk-82 and 2x Super 530D missile. @myHelljumper is there any chance this could be reviewed to weed out the now incompatible loadouts? Thanks everyone for the info

Yeah the AI probably is the main issue. It is so binary and unrealistic. I try to spend more time with this module but the SP training is poor so your only option is to go over to MP, spend hours locating targets and then get massacred because you haven't trained enough before-hand... It's an endless cycle of disappointment for me at least.

Horses for courses applies, I get it. It's not a dogfighter. But was it really this poor? I mean it takes an act of divine intervention to actually tag an enemy fighter let alone several. More often than not in any of the furball missions I am downed within seconds. The DCS Ai doesn't help matters with it's psychotic use of ammunition which basically turns their weaponry into brightly coloured water cannons but it all becomes so much more obvious when flying the Anton. What's the word on the street? EDIT: December 2022 Stop necro-ing this post JEEEEEZ lol When I originally posted this back then I had only SP experience and yeah the instant actions are terrible. Since then, I became a master Anton sergeant and nothing can stop me. Moral of the story, test your modules in multiplayer for realistic representation and learn how to use your aircraft's strengths and weaknesses to your advantage. Helps if you start higher than your opponent if engaging in air to air in the Anton.

Could anybody give me a complete, no fluff list of what is still expected/promised for this module please? I know some of the stuff but I would like an update if possible I will add; I ask because as much as I enjoy flying the Yak occasionally, I don't ever pay enough attention to it or have experience with a real one to compare it to anything and although I have always been fairly content with the state of the module I do appreciate people's efforts to make sure that my modules are as true to life as possible and that they are being supported if not yet complete, especially when there are seemingly better options on other platforms available to me. @Eagle Dynamics It is embarrassing to own the module at present, whether it flies well or not, because ED have chosen to ignore it for so long. I have always held DCS modules aside from the rest, in a league of their own, but to see the way they are handling such a basic module and the community who have invested in it is very upsetting. I bought into it in the hope that they may start churning out more modules like it (civil/trainer types) but if that has not to be the case because not many people invested then just get the guys on it, knock it out the park and be done with it and move on. The constant lingering is deplorable and I do not enjoy bashing ED because I appreciate the mountains they move for us but this is more like a mole hill...

Yeah but now those who bought it are getting pop ups at startup asking for a valid serial number for the campaign... d'oh!

Hmm...I will give that a go. Can't hurt to tidy things up in there and isolate the mods until I get to the bottom of it. I will post again if any change. Thanks BN

Hello helpful forum members, Could somebody have a glance over the attached log and let me know what is going on with my setup. Since recent update or two I have very sporadic, catastrophic crashing occurring which reboots my system. I am obviously concerned my hardware may be to blame as I do not have any overclocks running and everything has been hunky dory for a significantly long time. I can't say I have experienced it outwith DCS though so curious if it is my end or a dcs issue. Many thanks dcs.zip

Come on man, it's over. I offered you a rational explanation for your observation as well as the correct way to file a data based request to change a fundamental element of the sim but you are now just making yourself look silly(er) and trolling my other posts is ridiculously poor form. We can all move on, I won't hold it against you. It was an idea, just not the most pressing one for anybody else. Nobody wins or loses here. It's just a game forum. Have a nice day
