Here's some background on the origin of these skins and why a few things are the way they are. These skins were made by the Virtual Thunderbirds, LLC (http://www.virtualthunderbirds.com) back in 2004 for their team and the public, so they're 13 years old at this point. #1 Not sure about the red on the tail. The version of the skins I have from back in the day don't look like this. However the blade antenna on the base of the tail is white because it shares some UV space on another part of the jet. #2 The Let's Roll was on all demonstration jets (I thought anyway) back in 2006. The version of these skins I have is with the flag panel which were used in '04-'05 and '07-'08. They then switched to their new Block 52 model at the end of '08 so support for these old skins was dropped. #3 And the number was placed on the tail instead of the side of the intake due to UV mapping issues with the model making it difficult to put it in the real position. Hope this clears up a few things.

It doesn't work anymore. This worked when the cockpit model format was .LOM back in 2010, but now it's .EDM and this won't work.

So I modified one of my 2 GearVRs for USB passthrough to connect them to my PC using VRidge (Riftcat) and with SteamVR running get DCS to boot in VR mode.

Tried, it does nothing. I'm guessing DCS has to detect an Oculus or SteamVR runtime running to kick it into VR mode.

Got it working fantastically with my S7 and GearVR using Moonlight. Lowest latency of anything I've tried...easily able to fly a demo with it. Is there a way to spoof DCS into thinking an Oculus is connected so it starts in VR menu mode? That's all I'm missing really.

Here I made 2 different ways to test it. One is just the old empty.tga that goes in TempTextures where the new empty.png is. Place it in there, DCS will use the .tga instead but with no alpha channel so you get a plane white box on bort numbers set to empty in description.lua. Also made a test version of P-51D Bare Metal livery with empty set to false in description.lua and empty.tga included in folder as some livery artists do. There also, you will get the same effect. Also I didn't make one but even one present in a zip file of textures will do the same thing. empty.zip Bare Metal TGA test.zip
