  1. Thanks for doing this on Kola map, it’s a great fit and the map is certainly better than many people make it out to be (and is indeed coming together very nicely). Love flying in a fresh environment and setting. If DCS is going to expand it needs people willing to create content for something other than the same old maps over and over again. Well done. Cheers!
  2. If I pay the royalty rate and/or flat fee they request, do I also reap the benefits of a percent of the increased sales due to better community reviews? Look, I know those things are hard to track - what exactly accounts for what? But suggesting that someone is being unreasonable or entitled because the dev is the one to pay for it isn't reasonable, since the dev is also the one to profit from it. These modules are long term plays and after the initial wave of "buy it no matter what" crowd passes, the community feeling on a module is what sustains sales and word of mouth in the long run. Sounds are a massive part of the immersion factor in modules. Volume and gain adjustments won't be enough from what I've heard. Maybe it's not Echo19, but then, why not? It's his specialty. Hopefully you guys could reach a good deal. But whatever is done, it needs a truly professional touch that understands compressors and limiters, EQing, and so forth in a way that is going to bring this otherwise beautiful module to life.
  3. I was so confused to find no keybinds for the rocket box control (and gun charge/safe). These are essential. Especially in VR.
  4. GVad the pilot breakdown in the video is helpful, including stalls and inertia, but also the discussion in the comments there. There is discussion regarding the way the rudder is simulated, among other thinks. I hope Mag3 takes a look. A lot of the FM issues people are having do not seem like a major rewrites, but rather tweaks and refinements on an otherwise solid foundation. I am curious to know if some of the over G issues, or the issue posted on reddit where the aircraft spins out of control oddly, is tied to damage modeling (ie wings not ripping off) or how stalls are modeled. It does seem like if some of these issues are resolved (and if the sounds are enhanced) - neither of which seem out of reach in EA - the module will shape up very nicely.
  5. Hi team! I've followed for many years, and just want to commend you on a job well done. With all of the discussion, excitement, criticisms (aka "passion" ;)), etc. in the first few days, I feel it's important to say: THANK YOU. We see your hard work, and we know this module is a labor of love from a small and hard working team. And while we all have our points of constructive criticisms, the big picture is that this is overall off to such a great start! Very pleased to have this in game, and can't wait for the larger Pacific Theater to be built out more. Your Corsair has beautiful art and texture design, a nice set of included assets, and is a faithful reproduction of the F4U. It's been a blast to play with thus far. So, just a "thank you" and note of appreciation. We look forward to experiencing the module develop throughout EA and become refined to reach its full potential. Until then, just a shout out for all your hard work. Be encouraged - upwards and onwards! Cheers.

  6. I know this isn't top priority - Flight Model, Sounds, Keybinds, Bugs, etc. take priority. And overall there is a decent spread of IA missions to jump right in. However, as the module progresses, I would really love to see a bit more from the Instant Action missions! Some simple quick start things that should really be there include: ESSENTIAL: Hot Start Taxi & Take-Off options (right now it's just cold start. You can't jump in to immediately practice take-offs without making a custom mission). Hot start options to practice both carrier and land based take-offs would be great. Landing Practice (Land/Field based) options (right now we have carrier landings, but no land based field options to quickly practice landings on). Target Practice scenarios (simple options to jump in with a fully loaded ship and just do ground based target practice on the various maps) IF POSSIBLE: A few more interesting scenarios on the key period maps (ie Marianas WW2) - there's just so little PTO content right now, it would be very nice to see a few more fun scenarios on the Marians map to quickly jump into and get our feet wet. EASY BONUS: Scenic Free Flight missions and basic options for other DLC maps (South Atlantic, Kola, Sinai, Cold War Germany, etc.) - it's always nice to just be able to quickly drop in if you own a map and cruise around. These don't need to be complex scenarios, just a few options for each map is a simple value add. While these are easy enough for us to create ourselves, it's also a nice value add that makes a module feel more complete.
  7. Thank you for the help. Good to know about the manual LUA edit option, but yes I think I will wait for official support added to avoid getting into the constant fixes throughout EA. What was dive break labelled as? I couldn't find it, whatever it was labelled.
  8. The Kiowa from Polychop launched with lackluster sounds and they were able to contract Echo 19. Would love to see better sounds on this module as they currently lacking and I believe it would significantly improve the experience!
  9. Everyone here is said, here to say it again... ^^ All of the above. Ran into many myself (can't bind the gears dive break, gun charge/safe, show pilot body, can't bind many latches correctly) Several broken keybinds that aren't working, several that won't bind to a HOTAS, several just missing, and many without insufficient options for those of us with a mix of momentary & latching switches, rotary knobs, etc. All switches need "toggle" and "on/off" positions for latches (and centered, if applicable). Also, is the autostart procedue scripted? I couldn't bind it to my HOTAS, but also, not sure if its implemented.
  10. Also here to say, with FFB becoming increasingly available to many from a number of manufacturers - and now with Virpil FFB devices on the way - it would be great to see FFB rudder support (and better FFB support in all ED modules). Beyond the strong sense of immersion in a total FFB setup (stick + rudder), there is also a ton of convenience for those of us fly fixed wing + rotor. With FFB Stick & Rudder, there is no messing about with dampeners, springs, and clutches. So... please add FFB rudder support (and enhance FFB stick support!).
  11. I am one of the minority users who has most every module, and while I do not mind paying for WW2 PTO assets pack, I am worried about total community adoption and success of WW2. It is already enough of an obstacle that users need to purchase not only a plane module but also an asset pack for WW2 (which many might expect to be part of the base game). But if WW2 is split into two separate asset packs, this creates further confusion and friction and will hamper adoption of modules, campaigns, and multiplayer. Alternatively please consider an update to the WW2 assets pack to "2.0" (even with the same or a higher price tag) + an upgrade fee for existing users to update to the PTO assets. Even with a higher upfront price, simplicity and clarity for users is increased and it feels less "nickle-and-dime-y". On the other hand, there has as of late been a habit of splitting maps into multiple zones to achieve lower price points, but I have always felt this is needlessly complex and hurts optics more than anything. Obviously ED knows their own internal numbers. If you have seen great success with this approach, so be it, but I must wonder. If only a small minority of customers purchase a specific map portion, is it worth the confusion? A single WW2 assets pack would seem to be a more elegant solution that would reduce obstacles to WW2 adoption.
  12. @ChillNG Any chance our hopes and dreams may be fulfilled?
  13. Any idea when ED will implement DLSS4 support natively into DCS so we can just select DLSS3 or DLSS4, the preset type, the scaling (Quality, Balanced, Performance, etc.) or "Custom"? Would love to have this natively with ease of use for everyone right in DCS core...
  14. Would love to see GroundPounder Sims tackle this one! Great heatblur aircraft with pretty limited campaign content, and the Kola map is perfect for it. Hoping you'll consider!
  15. Cobra, Cobra, Cobra. For 10 years, I’ve just been here for the Cobra. The most fun helicopters are the earlier models before all of the electronic assists, that provide that raw seat of pants experience like the Huey does. Giving us that old school analog helicopter feel in an attack helicopter is IMO exactly what DCS needs. It’s visceral and interesting from a gameplay perspective, and I do believe would become a community favorite in the way the original Huey has been.
  16. VR exclusive user here and I want to draw attention to Project Cars 2 and Automobilista 2 VR implementation on their menus. It is simple but brilliant. The mirrored image on the monitor does not mirror the headset when you are in a menu. This simple change is incredibly useful because bindings keys in VR can often really suck. Can ED create an optional toggle that UI menus do not mirror the headset when in VR? This would allow us to remove the headset when in VR mode (or flip up the headset when in Bigscreen Beyond halo strap or Meganex halo strap) to bind keys, type in the bindings search, save files, etc. without being in VR. Or work on a mission editor, etc. right now due to the way the desktop mirrors the headset it can be very inconvenient to attempt to work in menus in VR mode. i believe this would be a potentially simple way to address this. I absolutely love how PC2/AMS2 does this and I know many others do as well, it really should be standard.

  17. Just here to say the same. I really hope ED will get a Zero developed now that we have WW2 PTO assets pack and Marianas map coming alongside Hellcat & Corsair, and Reflected as an amazing campaign dev who loves this era. The Zero is under represented in basically every sim. I know it is a challenge to get the documentation. If anyone can do it, and do it will, it would be ED. Throwing in another vote for the team to get this iconic aircraft represented well in a digital combat sim for the first time. It would be a draw to the sim for new players, and really make the PTO setting much more desirable.
  18. Very excited this is coming this month! I do believe this will become one of the top maps in DCS, it looks fantastic and is an excellent setting for the ecosystem. I am curious from the newsletter today, what are the new borders mentioned and what new cities have been added? That's great! Cheers. Day 1 for me.
  19. Not interested in getting technical with my feedback, because I want what almost everyone else wants: The ability to simple save and load my game mid mission for paid single player DLC campaigns. Like every other game has. the ability to set up auto save intervals and for campaign makers to create checkpoints. I’m sure there are in depth technical reasons why this is harder than it would seem, but at the end of the day, this is sort of a meaningless feature for many of us unless we can pop in and play the very complicated reflected / ground pounder / Baltic campaigns and save and load them. And have it properly track my campaign progress without disruption. I am hopeful that is coming and this is just a sort of test pilot launch, because it seems like it’s something that was already possible with scripts.
  20. Hard to tell from the map lines, will city of Prague be included? I’m thinking it was just outside the border of what Ugra will model, but would love to be wrong!
  21. I have a monstertech chair, and while it is very heavy duty with its center joystick mount, I don't think it could handle the WinWing FFB stick. It looks insanely big, very tall, very heavy looking. More so than the AB9 or even the VPForce Rhino, both of which have been mounted to people's Monstertech chairs. I hope that when Virpil comes to market, they can be a bit more compact. I suspect this WinWing device would need to be mounted a full 8020 rig on the floor profiles. As for the comments on the Monstertech desk clamps, no way I would mount one of these to mine. I have several MTSIM clamps. They are great. They are definitely not designed for that level of tension. Even if the clamp would hold, it would torque and shake the desk. At best you'd get a lot of flex, at worse you'd break the desk or pull the clamp off.
  22. I'm using SSA with the HF8 + Buttkicker. Everything works. However, I notice the bottom 2 vibrators on the HF8 pad will get stuck on a vibrating loop. I have to power down the pad and power it back up. This seems to be tied to the fact HL8 has 8 haptics vs 6 on SSA. The buttkicker doesn't get stuck, but the haptic pad does - and it seems to be just the 2 extra vibrators. Any ideas?
  23. Alternatively it could be like project cars 2 / Automobilista 2. Where in VR, screen mirroring is enabled only in game and not in menus. In menus, everything on monitor is standard 2D. this means you can pop the headset off and work on options and control bindings easily on monitor without leaving VR mode. this would be fantastic! And easier to implement then a full mode switch. Just (optionally) disable mirroring when in menus!
  24. CH-47 is now listed as "coming soon": https://store.steampowered.com/app/2943690/DCS_CH47F/ But cannot be purchased...
  25. Went to purchase, not on Steam. Neither is the new UH-1H campaign.
