  1. Great game Iran! And even greater goal from Messi. I didn't know I'm such a football fan. Haven't watched a single match in 10 years.
  2. I'm like the master in missing goals... Seems like every time I lift my ass to go to kitchen or something, I hear the screams of excitement from the TV. I was watching the FRA-SUI game last night and saw two goals from France. Missed the third as it was lighting fast. Felt bad for the Swiss and thought France is just gonna put up a good defense and the Swiss will try to desperately break it. Shut the TV and of course... in the morning I see three more goals were scored! At least saw the Costa Rica match and despite only one goal, it was nice to watch and feel the excitement of the underdog nation. Good work Costa Rica!
  3. Seems like warping happens in real life too. Nice plane and great sound!
  4. Ah good point. I knew that they can be seen by cameras but when watching the video didn't figure that I was actually looking through a camera. :D Tietysti...
  5. Jose, 6 years old orphan, knew it all along. How can you win when even kids look at you pitifully? :D
  6. Nice to see the Patria AMV in use around the world. You see the flash on the target right before impact? Is that some proximity sensor pulse from the missile or what? More Iraq guncam. I suppose they use Mi-8's as command ships for the Mi-35's? http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=ea2_1403206897
  7. More Iraqi guncam: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=d42_1402936504
  8. I'm not actually a football fan but I guess watching it once every 4 years could be enlightening. The stupid dives and ridiculous drama still ruins just about any game I try to watch. Exactly why I stopped following football many years ago. Could not but notice how immature and ineffective the Portuguese team was. Germans on the other hand; Wow!, that's the famous German efficiency! And I concur to the football vs soccer argument! There's no such thing as soccer and no such thing as American "football".
  9. Iraqi Mi-35's and others in action against ISIL.
  10. The England team visited an orphanage in Brazil today "it's heartbreaking to see their sad little faces with no hope," said Jose, age 6. Meanwhile in a nearby mall: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=a23_1402597239

  12. If you fly right into them, you stand little chance. They also deploy an Igla soldier if you come too close. So you are either far and alive or close and dead. If you want the right spirit, scan the road actively with your Shkval. Mountaineous areas provide you unparalleled chances for taking cover and planning great ingress and ambush positions. Its them who cant go anywhere but the bottom of the valley, you can go anywhere you want. Thats all Russian equipment down there by the way.
  13. I thought everyone was like "Hiiiighwaay too the danger zone!!!"
  14. Hi, I'm not home right now so can't give you a proper "mini review" of the KomodoSims ProAT Pedals I own but here are some thoughts. Originally I had Saitek pedals and they seemed flimsy, sticky, plasticky and cheap in every way. I broke a part while trying to mod them but wasn't sorry one bit. It gave me an excuse to buy the Komodo pedals. Despite the high price (as much as my CH HOTAS) and almost like buying a pig in a poke, I went ahead but have not regretted. Rich was very professional with me and all the communication, money transfer and shipping (well packed) went as smoothly as possible. Their products come with a two year guarantee. When you look closely at the pedals, you'll see evidence of them being hand made. The quality is good though, they feel solid, well assembled and all the parts feel like quality parts. The only little problem they had was with the actual part of the pedal where your foot rests. If you look at THIS picture, you'll see that the parts with the KOMODO text are hollow tubes slipped onto a metal bar. They are glued on and the left pedal's gluing wasn't perfect, it actually moved very slightly on the metal bar. That was no biggie, I just put some super glue there and it's fine. The pedals look a bit different from the picture, more refined I would say. The flying experience with them was a whole new world to me! That's a lot to say about "just" pedals. Compared to the Saitek's, they are immensely precise with the hall sensors, not sticky, they have a good feel and perfect resistance. They have no center detent and no springs to return to the center position. All this made flying the Ka-50 so much easier and precise and I would imagine that you can't get any closer to real Huey pedals. That's what you would expect from a real world helicopter pilot. He designed them to be as close to the real deal as possible. They are also nice for any other aircraft. I don't miss toe brakes as the Saitek's implementation never felt good to me. What else? Hmm... I can post some pictures when I get home. Feel free to ask me anything. These are of course only a small part of their inventory but based on these I wouldn't hesitate to buy more controls if I had money and only wanted to fly helicopters. In short; I really love the pedals!
  15. LG, Dell and AOC are all launching their new ultrawide monitors this year. LG already has a pre-order and specs to view at over 1000$. Check video about the amazingness. Dell and AOC are also launching theirs soon. As for the price, LG is the most expensive, Dell comes a bit cheaper and AOC is the cheapest. My guess is that the AOC will cost maybe 700$ on launch. The good news is that they all use the same panel, at least it was the case with the previous generation, so panel quality should be guaranteed. Only the "packaging" varies and gets cheaper, obviously. 3440x1440 has 40% less pixels than 4K and 34% more than 1440p but still requires some serious GPU performance.
  16. I just recently bought the AOC Q2963Pm 29" at 2560x1080 and I think its an excellent ultrawide screen for simulators and other games. The extra view on both sides makes a great difference in sims. Doesnt feel like looking through a straw anymore. Its also the native 21:9 aspect ratio of movie theaters so movies look really great on it without the black bars. I can run it great on my aging GPU and its a good stop gap compromise before the Oculus Rift. Now if I had the money and if youre willing to throw closer to 1000$ I would get the 34" AOC u3477Pqu at 3440x1440. I hear monitors of that size and aspect ratio are simply amazing!
  17. At least the He 162 did use an ejection seat but I've never heard of a Stuka using one. Even Rudel never mentioned it so I assume it was never in operational use.
  18. CH HOTAS is an excellent controller for the Ka-50 but yes you do need pedals. They just are a fundamental part of a helicopter flight control system.
  19. Harrier jet crashes in Southern California, damages homes http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/06/05/us-usa-california-crash-idUSKBN0EG07120140605
  20. Have you purchased yet? Intel just released the "Devil's Canyon" CPU's, i7-4790K and i5-4690K, which are essentially the same as 4770K and 4670K but with better TIM (they run cooler) and 100MHz faster stock speed. They also cost the same as the old ones so again, a no brainer to wait a couple of weeks for their shipping!
  21. Ok so there's no other official method and we are completely dependent on tester's vigilance? Not that I don't trust them but it's not clear if anyone is actually reporting them forward. It would be nice to always have a list of who is responsible of what modules so we could discuss with them directly instead of hoping that someone would participate in the discussion and acknowledge the bugs. I'm aware of Erforce's efforts and totally agree with the medal. :)
  22. Sorry if this sounds stupid but do we actually use some method to officially report a bug or just talk about them on the forum and hope a tester writes it down and passes it along?
  23. red.devil kindly responded to my private message and he still has all of the documents in his Dropbox. Below you can find the three guides he linked: Sharing Data Ka-50 TARS Guide Joint Ops/9-Line Datacard Please write in this thread if you find any errors. red.devil is willing to correct any possible errors in his documents.
  24. I just flew the first three missions of the Deployment campaign and my wingman was always visible on ABRIS on 124.00MHz.
