  1. The Jetseat has been sold!
  2. Hi, the Jetseat was ordered on 01.09.2019 and I haven't used it much at all. In the last two years zero times actually. The software licence works with my email address and a licence key and should still have four activations left. Of course I could contact Andre for a replenishment if necessary. You can send me a PM if you are interested and we can exchange details.
  3. For Sale: Gametrix Jetseat FSE in great condition with SimShaker - Wings license. Price: 80€ Location: Weilheim in Oberbayern, Germany Shipping in Europe. Payment with Paypal possible. Let me know if you need more information.
  4. For me it took about a week to travel from Russia to Germany. In Germany it took about one and a half week to process and for the customs to notify me of the arrived package. In total 5 weeks from order to receiving the package.
  5. This! I'm actually glad that I have the first version now. It seemed like a compromise without the analog stick back then but with the VKB stick my HOTAS isn't lacking anything now, including detents even if they aren't reliable. The V4 looks like a crippled toy in comparison despite some improvements. Each to their own but the throttle placement is excellent actually. It would be really difficult to access any buttons or other controls in front of the throttle. I'm glad it's all in the back where the hand easily reaches everything. The throttle handles are in perfect position ergonomically. Only two of the knobs on the bottom are analogue. I haven't mapped them to anything yet but the possibilities seem awesome especially for multiplayer comms. The three other knobs are fantastic for all sorts of brightness, contrast or anything that requires such adjustment. I'd take yet another row of those if I had the choice! Right now I'm too limited with three and they perform six different functions with shift modes.
  6. CH Control Manager should work on Windows 10 if you download it from here: http://www.chproducts.com/13-29170-Downloads-and-Community.php.html Most importantly, follow the instructions of the second post in this thread: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/33087-enabling-ch-products-joystick-control-manager-in-windows-10/ This should allow you to get into mapped/direct modes providing that you start the Control Manager immediately after boot. After a couple of minutes they stop working if you don't.
  7. Thanks mazex, great stuff! I'm glad you shared them in such format that everybody can edit them as they like.
  8. I just got a X470 Taichi with a 3700X and a QVL RAM but I can't run it on XMP 3200CL14 so YMMV.
  9. Congrats! Which plane was it?
  10. True that. I seriously considered the 3600 but decided to future proof with 8 cores since even the next console generation will have 8 core Ryzen. That will hopefully create a situation where every game will scale seamlessly to higher core counts and maybe one day will be reality even in DCS (Dual Core Simulator?). I hope my logic is worth it. I'll buy the 3700X in morning. You have 9 hours to convince me otherwise. ;)
  11. There is no point in paying extra 70€ for 0-1 fps gain.
  12. I'm seriously considering moving back to Finland as a climate refugee. I thought the short cold summers in Finland sucked but this heat sucks more!
  13. Just received my Gunfighter + MCG Pro + extension. Ordered on March 21st, paid on Monday, received on Wednesday. The wait wasn't so bad and seems like Virpil customers have also had to wait around two months for some of their orders. I did receive my throttle in a couple of weeks though after waiting for the release for two more. Now I'll still have to wait for the Ryzen 3000... Damn this waiting. At least I'll get to play with springs and cams for a few days.
  14. Fantastic! I'll surely support and will try the Gaz as soon as my new rig is running. Seems like the Gaz has problems but if some real helicopter pilots barely notice them, I sure won't and will enjoy it. The main thing is that you keep improving your product and give us hope here once in a while.
  15. I would allow NVG's. Let's take the Huey for example. Our DCS Huey is a version whose armament/equipment pretty much no one has. So if you're American or German flying the Huey, the chances are that your're not flying it in a realistic configuration. Especially the German Huey has totally different avionics but it won't ever stop the Germans from flying it in DCS. Each successful aircraft type has tons of modifications and export variants and as soon as you choose the skin of any other country than France, you're already violating the "realism". Chances are that this country never had a Gazelle or, if it did, then the export variant has different equipment installed. Multiplayer is full of people flying aircraft for countries which never had the types. As many have mentioned, the check box in the specials tab is a good compromise.
  16. Good research! For the first time I read the Russian Wikipedia article and it says that the system is truly an all around active countermeasure system against laser, IR and radar threats! So it includes not only MWS, LWS but also an RWR with electronic jamming capabilities and everything should be automated. If our good ole Shark includes all of that, then I'm truly amazed! What an awesome upgrade but I'll try to hold my horses until the capabilities are verified.
  17. This is absolutely the best possible solution for everybody and more than fair. Paying for BS2 was a bit over the line back in the day but as it was reasonably priced, I didn't mind. I'm glad to pay for the awesome improvements and glad that even without it we will get free graphical upgrades. Bug fixes though are mandatory and should never be stretched until a DLC is to be developed. My reluctance to buy new products is directly proportional to the condition of the old products I own. Spot on! Thank you ED!
  18. Exactly! Awesome! Can't wait to kiss ED with money! I'm honestly a bit disappointed about the lack of FLIR but if I had to choose one thing, then MWS and DIRCM would be number one all the way! This is even the most advanced counter IR missile system in the world which makes this update mind blowing! Won't we still be sitting ducks against fighter jets with their radar guided missiles though? With just an RWR and FLIR, this chopper would totally be on par with the best attack helicopters in the world. Thank you ED!
  19. Absolutely! And that's exactly what we do because that's what we call fun. That's why we buy computers and flight sim gear worth of a decent car. That's why this sim brings real pilots and military people along and creates such a mature, challenging and inspiring environment. That's why we are proud of it! For most of us this is as close as we can come to flying real aircraft for various reasons. Knowing that it's as real as it gets is crucial. In any other case the game wouldn't deserve to be called a simulator.
  20. Definitely jumping on board in July! Now the question is, for extra $80, what would the 3700X bring me over 3600X gaming wise and where would I see the difference if DCS is excluded? I'm also seriously considering the X570. Previously I thought that X470 would be enough but hmm...
  21. How long do the old chipsets usually stay in stock after the new generation has been released? I'm planning on waiting for the release of X570 and buy a higher middle end X470 at a discount as I don't see much point in buying X570 on release for premium price.
  22. I did what the Eclipse 4349 guy says in the link. The control manager will work right at the start up but will not anymore in 5 minutes. So start it immediately when Windows boots and you should be fine. https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/33087-enabling-ch-products-joystick-control-manager-in-windows-10/
  23. No. I don't have experience from any of those yet but they are both really solid and you can't go wrong with either of them. I would say it's a matter of taste. Note that Virpil has two bases, WarBRD and T-50. WarBRD has around 22 degree deflection. T-50 has 16 degree and the VKB is something in between I believe. The deflection angle doesn't make any of the sticks better than the other.
  24. VKB and Virpil are different companies and one possibility nobody has yet mentioned is the Virpil WarBRD base and a grip of your choice with an extension. From them you could get the stick for a similar price to VKB with a very customizable extension but much faster. Granted, they say that the WarBRD base is not designed for extensions but that is only due to the clearance issues with the old desk mount (not sold anymore) and larger deflection than T-50 base. It will work just fine with an extension. The only reason I ordered the VKB stick is that it has an analog slew hat and the fact that I'm waiting for Ryzen 3000 at the same time so I'm not in a hurry. I own the Virpil throttle and it's a fantastic piece of kit!
