You using the Beta Version? Last time I Installed it it failed the Integrity Check and I had to remove it in the Beta Version. I will check it again Tomorrow after our Family event. Thank You.

I noticed on my computer Beta version Mod Free. That all the Default and Custom Made Skins have this same problem of the Pilot and Copilot not showing the same layer effects as the 2 crew members in the back seat positions. If you look at them inside the cockpit everyone has the same layer effect look to them but if you go to F2 View The Front Seat Pilot and Co-Pilot are Washed out Bright and have not got the same layer effect as the Backseat Gunners.

Only me? Really bad performance with latest Normandy 2.0 update
DishDoggie replied to lwalter's topic in DCS: Normandy 2.0
I have been working on the Normandy 2.0 VR map for a fun Practice my Flying takeoffs and landings at FORD Airfield. I have been placing static units down and people as Guards humping the tarmac providing security around the aircraft and trucks driving around and a few AI Aircraft takeoffs and lands for effects. I can Taxi around every inch of the taxiways at 70 to 50 FPS and the Very Second I pull onto A Runway The FPS TANKS TO 23 FPS The same thing happens when flyin Over or getting close to a Airfield Now even Empty untouched. Never happened before. -
Love this map thank you. I am building a simple airfield to practice off of in VR at FORD Airfield. With everything I have on the map I get 70 to 50 FPS I can taxi to all the areas on the field with the same FPS until I pull out onto a Runway then the FPS rate TANKS to 23 FPS. If I roll to the far end of the runway I hit 30 to 23 FPS the second I pull into the grass off the field 20 feet I jump back up to 70 FPS. Has anyone seen this happen on FORD or other Airfields you have put static objects on? I can Taxi on the ground with all this stuff and get 50 to 70 FPS all over the map but the Runway is the FPS killer.

I am like every person of age, We hate change after getting use to something for so long. LOL I am old sorry. So To Start with I will tell Eagle Dynamics DCS World Thank You for your upgrade to my beloved Huey. Please this is a BIG deal I have been one that has let my desires for a upgrade to the Huey rum my mouth from time to time. I am Fine with saying Thank You and Congratulation form Myself I like It. I need to learn how to Fly it again. If something is out of center with it I am not qualified to say. I will Do my best to relearn it as I am finding the Descending power requirements and stopping to a slow speed at high altitude to be way different then before. I see a lot of people saying Left rudder Rotor input is far to extreme at a hover - low speed on the ground. I have No Idea if this is true so I just work it with the Cyclic to get a more left turn ability and it works. Regardless of If and What may need tweaked. I am Happy to have a UpDate that has fixed small and large things we have all talked about for a long time. I like how I need to go from Left Rudder input to Right Rudder input at increased Speeds. I have to learn how to keep from Ballooning UP with power increase and forward speed. Still working on it all but Enjoy it very much. Sometimes I feel like I need to stop and enjoy it more even if it is not 100% it is a Good Update and WAY better then No Update. I like what I see I just need to Learn it better now. If you know of any Real Huey Pilots that fly DCS post a link to a New Update Video I would Love to see what they are saying. Thanks E.D.

DishDoggie replied to DishDoggie's topic in Missions and Campaigns
All my Liveries were updated with a correct Install Readme.txt file and all ab-212json files have been removed and will not be distributed with my Skins. I found one Error in a Description.Lua file and fixed that in the Rocky Mountain Park Rescue Pack. I had the Rocky Mountain Rescue 1 Lua description file with a error that did not allow the Skin to show up in the Mission Editor for use. It is now Fixed. The 13 Vietnam Pack I find has aa issue with the Gunships with the Front Weapons Mount not showing up in the Mission Editor Screen and only after you get into the game it then shows up in mission and back in the Mission Editor. Still working for a fix on that Pack of 13 Skins. -

How many Normandy 2.0 Airfields used The Lorenz System in WWII
DishDoggie replied to DishDoggie's topic in DCS: Normandy 2.0
Yes in DCS they do one steady tone in the Historical real world it was _ . _ . _ . (I Stand Corrected Deep Is Correct. I read the Dash dot Dash Dot in a Wiki for Center) The below Video has a restored System. Very cool. Thank You birkenmoped -

DishDoggie replied to DishDoggie's topic in Missions and Campaigns
Sorry to say you can not use it at this point and I need to go back and pull all of my downloads to update them to the new OpenBeta Version to remove them and update each mission to make sure I have no Bugs in them now. DO NOT Install the ab-212json file at this time it would of needed to be Extracted. -
I was looking up Beacon Info for Normandy 2.0 Airfields and got a little Education on 2 systems 1 is the Lorenz Radio Beam System and then the Pundit Beacon System. My Logic Ignorance in this was thinking (Beacon) = Signal of a Auditable Sound and in fact in this case Beacon = Visual and Beam = Auditable Systems. So the Pundit Beacon would be setup on Airfields and a Morse Code would be Flashed to Aircraft to tell them What Airfield it was. If I get this Correct in 2 time periods during WWII they used 2 Letters for the Airfields Name to Flash then later it went to 3 letters but was Not based off the Airfields name. I believe 3 Lighthouse Beacons would be placed at each Airfield. I am now Thinking the Red lighting I see next to the Airfields in Normandy 2.0 are some kind of compromised unreal version of the Pundit Beacon OR I am still Ignorante of what they are. PLEASE give Input if you Know. The Lorenz Radio Beam System works on 3 Radio Beamed Morse Codes of Left of Center Right of Center and Dead Center to the Runway. This System used Radio Beams to tell the Pilot the info of the Aircrafts position to the Airfield within a limited degree direction in front of the approached runway. RIGHT of Runwas would Broadcast - - - Morse Code LEFT of the Runway would Broadcast . . . Morse Code CENTER of Runway would Broadcast _ . _ . _ . Morse Code DCS does have a Version of this System in it for use in WWII aircraft I have not tested it yet but I did see a YouTube Video of it in use made buy The Grim Reapers. NOW THE TOPIC of the POST How many Airfields in the UK used this Radio Beam system and the Pundit Beacon System? Was the Lorenz a Limited System or in wide spread use? Was the Pundit Beacon System in more wide spread use because of its lower Technology dependance of just portable maned Lighthouse units? Were they Both used at the Same Time on each Airfield? Thanks for any Information you may have to share.

Yes I think so too. I have been using Remove Tree Zones on my Airfields to remove them. I like to Park Planes in the Areas even Client Aircraft so they Must be Removed.

The WWII Assets Pack is wanted and used but it needs so much more added to it. Trucks like in the picture would be nice. WAY more Ships too. Look at the Normandy 2.0 Map and think if they added a bunch of the WWII Assets on that map alone into the Official Pack for us to use. Awesome Pictures The Concrete Floated units were Brilliant and So Incredible for their Time and So Over looked in the Ability to get so much on land so fast. That alone aided to win the war was IMO the 1st Major Important step before all other to help win the War.

DishDoggie replied to 42jeff's topic in Mission Editor
Thank You I am Glad you got a working version from it. I am Sorry because doing a smaller version I did I can only imagine the Brilliant logic work you had to do to research what I did then Improve it into your version. I am impressed with what you have done. I know how much work it takes just to do what I did. Thanks Again. -
Update The WWII Assets Pack Look at the new Normandy 2.0 Map and All of the WWII Assets in that map all over the place. How About working out a Deal to Including a bunch of them into the Official WWII Assets Pack Wow They fit right into the Era How we could use them in every thing from WWII to Vietnam. Can it be done?

ED knows about the fuel problem and will fix it along with some of the other new issues found. I am happy to see forward movement with the HUEY and do not want to go backwards to what it use to be. When they get it dialed in it will be better. I just jumped into my Prop planes to get my fun in a P-51 or P-47 or kill myself on the ground in a Spitfire or Mosquito for now on the new Normandy 2.0 map lol

After a mission I have been building that is all vinaila in open beta on a large mission every Save mission I make then jump into the game I get a message right after the save mission has occurred and the start mission button is clicked. I have to Save a 2nd time the popup is the Your changes will be lost if you do not save. Do you want to save? Yes No. I make sure I do not zoom in or move the map so it is not me. The 1st save tells me the file already exist do you want to overwrite it? Yes No and I say Yes but it still wants the 2nd save. When the mission was a bit smaller then it is right now it just saved as normal. But not now.
