Civilian Objects And Vehicles
DishDoggie replied to Eight Ball's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
I think ED changed the hit box around the figure at some point that makes that happen. I am not sure how or if more then one can be used now. Sorry -
fixed Odd objects above static Planes
DishDoggie replied to DishDoggie's topic in Mission Editor Bugs
Thank You so much -
I put down Static rows of P-47's C-47's B-17's A20's and P-51D's on a Normandy 2.0 Map The Air Base is "Ford" Above the P-51D's at about 100' in the air are strange little Items you see clearly and they disappear when you get closer to try and move to them with F11 Camera mode. None of the other planes have them just the P-51's ? Bug or Not?

Notification every n seconds while inside a zone
DishDoggie replied to 42jeff's topic in Mission Editor
I did this in a mission I made called Hell Of A Day At Sea with moving zones on a ship. It has 3 Zones Near, Medium, Far. When my huey enters a zone a Sound File is played so it checks I am in What Zone and if I am the sound file plays. If I am in the Zone for any time even if I could hang in it for hours it checks every 60 seconds and plays the sound file. If I move into Medium zone from Far Zone a new check starts for that zone and the Far Zone is shut off The sound files are Fog Horns to fake you out in the Fog to think you are far away (and you are) then Medium (it get's louder) then Near (very loud fog horn) all this will work in Reverse as you Leave away from the Ship moving through all 3 zones again. It is kind of a Loop Back system on a set timer. one for each Zone and all flag trips using flag equals and flag on and off triggers with time since flag timers. You can Download the Mission from the Huey section of DCS User Files to see how I did it. Forgive me If I am not understanding you for what you need. -
Hard for me to explain forgive me. 1.) Put 1 Jet down inside it's option window that opens when placed on the map set the takeoff from parking hot option and all the other options for this 1st jet. Then after all options are set Click on 1 of 1 to set the number of jets you want in this group. I will go with 3. After all 3 are made and set in place. Put a Trigger Zone down at the ramp that enters the runway to be used later. 2.) Create group 2 the same way only this time set the jet to takeoff from ramp or parking spot. After all the options are set click the 1 of 1 to make 3 more of them and go back to the 1st jet and Set it as Uncontrolled (it has to be done after the other aircraft are added or it will not stay marked. Then open the custom Trigger option and in the Set Command option set it to START. 3.) set the other groups 3 and 4 up the same way. 4.) Now you need to set the mission task window to trigger each group to use the Push Task command and pick Start and the Trigger will be when the 1st group enters the zone you made and placed down near the runway entrance. Then when a group enters the zone it will trigger the next group 2 will trigger 3 then 3 will trigger 4. I hope I get the point of this to you in a useable way if not I am sorry. Small mission example attached of 3 groups 2 ships in each. Temp.miz

Have you Checked to see that Random Failures or Breakdowns is not on in the Settings?

I will pay more attention. Thanks

You should also Reduce Throttle first then Prop RPM and Increase Engine RPM First before adding Throttle. To avoid Cylinder PSI issues. I never Put faith in the Auto Oil and radiator Engine Cooling vents. Open them up and leave them Open not on Auto. When you have the time to watch them (Not in Combat) then put them in Auto but Watchout for the Oil Temp I have had it NOT open for it when it should. As you said You know the procedures. Double check everything I turned off my Fuel Booster pump the other day and forgot to turn it back on and ran out of fuel in the left tank and freaked out when the Right tank didn't restart my Engine in hard climb. My Bad I said the first part wrong and have corrected it sorry.

Low effort, high impact quality of life (QoL) improvements
DishDoggie replied to Ell's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Lol sorry I never thought of the simshaker pad effect and picturing it in my head made me laugh. Yea I was thinking of more in use in VR to be able to Slew move the key bound stick to wake the crosshairs up and look at what you want and click the slew stick to left mouse the clickable item then it puts the mouse to sleep till the slew stick is moved again. I have 2 slews one on my joystick and one on my throttle. It is probable way to much programing to do but it would be nice to not remove my hands for the mouse. -
I have no idea how hard it is or even if it could be done. If you could mission make with the ability to End one Map and Load screen to a New map as you fly across the Channel so the UK side would be empty and not seen. My Childlike Ideas can be ridiculous in logic sorry if it is.

I would like to have the option of Making my Mouse Cursor Slewable to my joystick and the left mouse button key bindable to the Slew Push button feature. -
High end hotas - which one and why?
DishDoggie replied to BaronVonVaderham's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Lots of Good input no one is wrong and opinions are just that even mine. You need to decide what level you fall into. you may go low end midrange or high end. I went low end x56 Rhino (lots of issues) then went Thrustmaster Hotas (Big Mistake) Ball and socket joysticks with low grade grease are problematic and just start to degrade. So The "Realsimulator" without ever using it and just watching people talk about it I will say is the Top of the Top you can go. WinWing and Virpil Gear In My Opinion would be next. From what I have seen and Judged on my Own VKB has a High End and low end But the High End units will fall next. WinWing and Virpil both offer DEEP DIVES into Gear Areas Joystick GRIPS Joystick BASE Not sold together Switch Panels, Helicopter Collective Base, Collective Grips. so ask yourself how deep do you want to go? I went all Virpil gear till it came to Rudder pedals DON'T forget about Rudder Pedals. I went with MFG Crosswind and love them. WinWing's Switch Take off and landing Panels are modeled after a F/A-18 and I found them to be not as universal as Virpils Control Panels. I love the Precision delivered to inputs and the Masterful Quality of Ball Bearing cam & spring parts. well suited for Prop and Jet operations My Virpil Gear Deliver. I own 6 of the Virpil Gear models Joystick Grip and a Base, Collective Base and a Grip, Throttle, Switch Panel #1 Best of luck and happy purchase on what you buy. -

In the P-51D 30 I am in VR I keybind the Shift V key bind for Cage / uncage Horizon Altimeter to a push button. You can not uncage the Instrument unless you first use another keybind on the keyboard of Atl-v to first uncage it. After that 1st uncage by keyboard your mapped Keybind will then work. I am using a Virpil Panel 1 for the key bind on E2 Push Down to cang and uncage the Horizontal horizon Instrument.

This is the Free Download Link To a Tutorial PDF File on How To setup a RED COVERED 3 Way Switch to Open UP and Close DOWN when you Use The T1 and T2 Switches on the VPC Panel #1 and will work for any other Virpil Panel too. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1TLRq5_UzkLNxUmAKDOyV1NVabf46qGrJ?usp=sharing

Yes a 3 Way Switch Can be turned into a On Off State in all 3 way settings BUT it gets crazy on how this is done inside Virpil's Software. I am Working on a Tutorial for how I did this. The Picture shows how Virpil's Panel #1s T1 and T2 RED COVERED 3 Way Switch Operates. The BLUE Middle Numbers are the Most important to get your LOGIC THINKING to focus on. A RED COVERED Switch is/should Start in the RED COVER DOWN State so #13 is reported as ON When the Switch RETURNS to CENTER from the LEFT it is a report of #13 WHEN it RETURNS to CENTER form the RIGHT it is a report of #14 (LEFT RIGHT OR BACKWARDS FORWARD) I have done this to My RED COVERED 3 Way Switches on VPC Panel #1 T1 and T2 so When I Lift UP a RED COVER it will Lift UP in DCS and when I Close DOWN a RED COVER it will Close DOWN in DCS. How I have Done this is NOT SHOWN in this Picture. The Picture is just HOW THE Switch Works in DEFAULT.

I do not know it all but I think there is only one Dimmer for the Cockpit lighting. I have never tested the Breaker system in the Huey could you kill the weapon selectors lights by turning off a breaker?
