Loaded Old Mission that had already been run and saved to the new 2.9 Mission Editor Format. while in VR 1st time. Today Not in VR I load the same Mission made a change to my zoom map location hit the save and then when I wanted to play it I hit the Play Mission button and the Load Mission froze up and DCS would not respond after waiting 2 or 3 mins I opened Task Manager and it was reportng MT me was Not responding. I ended task on DCS and this is the LOG file from the event. dcs.log

I can hear the Click of each second movement of the minute hand on the clock on the other side of the room even with my headphones on to stop the madness of my patient waiting. You did this to me. Shame on you. Thanks for doing this hard work for all of us.

I agree Dcs Could be working on larger things we know nothing about for the Huey. We have seen New Helicopters of New never before in game Helicopters announced. All New makeovers of old now new versions of in game helicopters Refreshed updates to in game Helicopters and then the Huey the one Helicopter in the game that is my love and passion to fly and I feel like I have to travel to the U.S. Air forces abandoned desert Graveyard for retired aircraft and pull one out of mothballs to fly it with the engine out of a old ejection seat sled found from the 50's at the same yard. The Huey fans are Awesome people. If you need lessons on how to Wait, How long to Wait, and how not to give up hope come talk to us While all the other High Def models fly over the field waving good-by to us. Lol I can paint a good picture in my mind can't I? I have Virpil Gear. All used desktop not as Simpit. so Far I have had 2 cable replaced. Both are SX9 5 pin end connectors. I Never Yank or Pull with any force on my cables. I Never leave them plugged into the Quick release Connector. I always release them yet with Very Anal care lol I have had 2 wires go bad. Virpil has replaced each of them free of charge but The request to show the Cable is bad to them is kind of work intensive lets say. First you have to take pictures of the Test Meter and the Probes in the shot for all 5 pins like below. This is a Continuity test for all 5 pins in this cable. In my test Pin 4 was bad pin 1,2,3,5, all good. so I went to Harbor Freight spent $25.00 on this cheap meter ground down the one end to fit inside the pin size hole then had to hook it to the VPC Configurator tool and capture shots of it from the built in screen shot button in the configurator while bending the broken wire to make a connection to even show up in the configurator tool. Then to fill out the order information and invoice number and purchase date. So I get the Free cable sent to me. Now I am not upset about this and understand you can not send free cables out the door without some kind of tests being done. I think they are very kind about all of it. I am happy about the process and hope I never need to do this again. Now I find it odd they do not sell new cables from the store page. I honestly would of just ordered a new one if they did. But because they do not I went through Support. My other Concern is this. I got this gear before the American Website Store was Made and Opened. My Order was from the EU Store. I had an account with them. My next orders were with the U.S. Store because they directed me to them and I had to set an account up in the U.S. Virpil Store. This Gear in my Order History from the EU has been wiped clean from my account and is no longer available. My Only Saving Grace is I saved my Invoices so I had Proof Of the Orders. Watch out if you have done this same thing. I also have ordered some new XS9 5 pin Connector ends and will cut the old cable end off and repair the bad cable with a new end for backup. I and thinking of just making a new cable as well. Has anybody done this same thing?

1st off EVERYTHING works fine. Also this NEVER happened till I upgraded from a 6900 amd Video Card to a 4090RTX Then this started to happen. I shut off the VR headset to Stop playing. first I exit DCS to desktop. I then push the Power Button on the HP G2 v2 Cable Box to power off the Headset. (NOTE) I always leave the headset plugged into the PC and Video Card I never pull the Power plug out of the HP G2 Power BOX because if you do and then you plug it back into play the power is automatically turned on to the headset. If it is always plugged in I can kill and start the power from the Button on the Box. So now DCS WORLD is off, The Power is off to the headset. NOW within maybe a minute or 2 The System will then shut off the Video card Signal Kind of OFF It Turns BLACK. The Monitor is still getting a Signal just NOT from Windows Normal Operating System. My Monitor is Still on Display Port 1 but is BLACK I can still hit the Win Button and open the Taskbar Start buttons But NOTHING that is opened (Even Task Manager) will display on screen. It will be open and will show on the taskbar but the Screen area is BLACK. SYSTEM was Cleaned of ALL AMD VIDEO DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE with DDU Nvidia Drivers are up to date with clean install after old drivers removed. Monitor is a ACER 144mhz widescreen XV340CK P on DP1 3440 x 1440

Question I do not fly in MSFS so I know nothing about it. I Do See WWII planes coming out like CRAZY Fast for MSFS all the time. They look to be of High Quality BUT I honestly know nothing about them. Why is it MSFS a non Combat high quality flight sim able to get so many WWII planes SO Detailed So Fast and with What looks to be clickable cockpits and true to life Flight models but Never able to happen in DCS like That? Like I said I know nothing about this stuff. Sorry if I upset you by asking. Thanks if you reply.

HONEST I started with a X56 but Now use VIRPIL and I Honestly feel you can get more BANG for your BUCK and be WAY happier with VKB as any NEW or Upgrade into DCS. Why. it is far more Reliable to use and People that own it(Not Me) Love it. The Reviews I seen on it are just far more better. I had more than 1 problem with X56 USB plugs and strange ghosting problems popping up and I found if I did not start pulg in and use DCS in 1 order of PC startup use, I would have problems. My point is just price is close so invest into the low end Good Quality VKB before X56(kind of out dated)

Processor AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 8-Core Processor, 3401 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s) 4090 Aero I play in VR and I still can get 40 FPS low or on the ground and all maps very and how you set up the VR will matter I run a HP Reverb G2 no Steam use Turbo mode setup will require help. Sorry I didn't read what you have (VR headset)so you can get help from people here easy. For Me I say I got about 20 to 25 % improvement overall and CPU in MT and DCS not having it working to us ALL Threads (LAST I CHECKED) makes it kind of on the low reason to play now for me. I kind of get not so into it for now but I have to jump in with every patch to check it out. My BIG drive is not as powerful as before because of MT and then the HUEY (my Love) i'm just on PAUSE till things change. Wow I need to change.

Loss of life is Sad and Yes Quite Impressive how the investigation did determine the cause. I bet so many people are using a electronic devices in a cockpit and new standards will be mandated from this sad tragedy.

At 67 years of age I can't help to look at time in a more Short kind of way. 3 years is the Average life span of Most CPU's for Gaming Computers. I just updated mine. Most Motherboards and RAM will serve you on a Average of 10 years. Most GPU's will Average at 5 years. I just updated my GPU as well. In the "todays market" Value of your Money to purchase parts is getting to a point that you need a BIG investment to build or buy a computer for gaming today. How long with it last? Here in DCS I find myself asking myself how long will it take to see Vietnam and WWII Pacific DCS game Play and For Me (at 67) it ain't looking good. This brings me back around to your over 3 years since you made this thread. My Grandaughter turns 3 this month. Think about it when I built my first DCS Computer to play this Simulator It cam in at $1,200 if you want a top of the line rig to your GPU will run $1,200 to $1600 How long can this last? Will we still be playing in 10 years? Lol you may not know me or ever will but I was here in this time with you all and I had fun. So with luck you will last the test of time in DCS. Hello, I had this same problem you commented on a post I made. I use all Virpil Gear and have a Virpil Collective and a Mongoos T50 for fixed wing. MY POINT IS. I had a bad Cable on my Collective AT the point of the USB cable connection to the Collective. My Metal Connector end was damaged. Part of it is very thin and cracked and finally cracked around to split in two parts. I got a New Cable and all is well now. I now Disconnect my Cable from the USB connection AT the Collective when Not in use to prevent that hookup from any hits that will damage it again. Make sure Your Cable is not the Issue. Also make sure your Motherboard "chipset" drivers are up to date from AMD or Intel. Motherboard Bios update also as I had updated to a AMD 5800x3D with a AMD 5000 series Bios Update for my x570 MB but took it out for bad performance issue 2 month ago only to find out this month the x570 x gaming MB just put out a new Bios update for that 5800x3D CPU wtf? So I updated it and put it back in. Thanks Gigabyte. It test very good now.

Lol I'm okay your post made me laugh. SO The Huey is Slow, Big, and a good Practise target for your Enemy. I Love to Fly the Huey. Rocket Attack and Gun Attack it at "your" MAX range. You can then Dodge the Bullet rounds before they get to you. If it has Rockets Put your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye. Or call in a COBRA and RUN AWAY. Sneaking up low behind cover (IF it can be used) Might work. If you're "good" I made this mission to Practise jumping 4 AA Gun Boats (low behind tree cover approach) Using all A.I. Gunners. 100% doable. (you just got to be good). Later you have to kill 9 AKA troops from above. Then on the way back is the Truck mounted AAA. (stay back at max range and try to take it out before your backup Jet takes it out for you. lol (no rockets in this mission) I know I have FAILED to change your mind. But Sometimes your just out classed. If you fly my mission you can watch a Truck mounted AAA Gun get F' up for all the times it took you out. Best of Luck Huey Buddy. You Did clean your HP G2 Environment Data from Mixed Reality Portal Right? I have a HP G2 and do not have this issue just so you know. I just upgraded to a 4090 24g Gigabyte Aero RTX. Cpu from a 3950x to a 5800x3D. DCS was moved to a new 4tb SSD and Now when I EXIT a VR game session in DCS (the only VR game I have) Windows 11 will be just fine till all programs are closed and then the Monitor Screen will Go Black and require a system reboot to start working. It is still on and I have a Mouse cursor on screen. Task manager will show on screen and you can pick what to do with it. The Screens will not show on the Monitor if you open any of the Task manager Options. They open but you can't see them. I can find ZERO information on why this is occuring. I used DDU to clean my Install I rolled back drivers to see if that was it. Still goes BLACK SCREEN after VR is over. Win11, 5800x3D, 64g Ram, RTX4090 24g OC, HP G2 v2

Soon To Be ex wife, I had 2 of them my girlfriend now loves me to death. We do a lot together and the best thing is She get's turned on every time I run missions in DCS. Truth is She gets so Hot over it I have to open the back of the case to get better air flow to cool Her down.

LOL I'm 67 years old and I can't remember the last time I Sucked Eggs but I know I have done it in my long life time. Thank you for the Fetchins Up. Try the New Huey to see what I am trying to Communicate with the Balloon effect. The only point I was trying to make was it feels over the top as in to much effect but I am like you and Have never Piloted a real Huey. Thank You for the Help and advice.

As you I am no Expert. Some people here have added Very good Facts backed up with data. As for me a long time Huey flying Fan I think and feel the Tail Rotor Pedals input needs more work. and the only other thing I can add is something seams to be wrong at the point of forward movement transition to a zero forward movement hover. I feel the lift or ballooning effect at this point is wrong and then the other problem of total loss of all lift at this point as you fall in a flat spin to the ground but get no crash but go into a hover on ground effect. It is a strange and unique event others admitted having and I honestly do not know how or what will trigger this problem. It is almost like a Downdraft altitude loss I experienced in the USAF riding in cargo planes going TDY from place to place.The last fix came out and has the Collective and throttle dialed in better.
