Utility? No. Novelty for having something real world simulated? Yes.

Check your virtual pedals as they may be stuck in the full left position. Whether it’s a bug or not , you should be able to reset the pedal position with trim reset. Trim reset is by default double-pressing the trim button

How can I switch the type of rocket launch?

Started to roll out of control after shooting rockets?
S. Low replied to Frag's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
I'm not a rocket scientist, just know that I purposely sped up to about 350 and when the aircraft rolled over to the right, I slowly lowered collective and pitched up and I recovered immediately. I read this somewhere as a recovery method. *shrug* -

Lower collective and pitch up to recover from rtb. -

It’s almost certainly a retreating blade stall. Cruise speed is 250, I think max speed is 270, and generally you’ll roll over in a retreating blade stall after 335. Keep an eye on the speed -
Weird. I'm using default trim option, with a regular stick with springs/cams. I hold the trim down and release when I achieve stable flight. Double click trim button resets the trim (Or you can bind seprately the trim reset).

Well... what do you mean vertically? It's better to always come down at an angle with any helo. Don't make it harder on yourself than it needs to be. Doing a straight down landing would need to be very slow and probably need crew help.

Pitch oscillation when transitioning from ETL to GE when landing
S. Low replied to S. Low's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
Yes exactly. Once you get settled in ground effect it stops. Seems odd -
In the Ed manual I believe it talks about this. What might be happening is Pete is locking the enemy closest to where you told him to search because either the other enemies aren’t actually close enough to be put in the list, or they are close enough but Pete thinks they aren’t because he’s zoomed way in or something. Check the top right of screen. I was getting messages like “locked infantry” or “locked armored” when I would ask him to search

I heard ground comms during repairs but not refuel/rearm. Not sure why. Might be bug

At only 10x zoom I'm not positive a human player could pick out targets at 9nm, so the AI not seeing them seems appropriate. I think those ATGMs have roughly a 4nm range so try to get closer first.

If we're talking about tail rotor effectiveness, I don't think any of the Helos have pedal sensitivty set correctly by default. Just in my uneducated opinion. I set my pedal axis curve to -15 on all helo modules to get a better feeling sensitivity. YMMV.

After getting my hands on the hind and enjoying every second of it, all I can say is I’m even more stoked for my Apacheboi. Plz gib. Cant wait. Gimme gimme.

You’re a legend. Got me starting up the hind in no time

Oh I’ve already poked it. Many times

All I know is that I hated radios in the mi8 and it’s looking like I’m going to hate radios in the hind lol. You might want to try Grim Reapers YouTube channel for mi8 Doppler tutorial.

It’s a brick with wings. You can indeed do a harsh j hook and land, but you have to manage the collective closely (modulate it, as Casmo would say). I agree there isn’t a good cockpit visualization of the transition from ETL to GE, but as big as the hind is there might not be one in reality. Keep a close eye on the VSI

My guess is the pitch and roll AP systems aren’t on. I dunno if these are supposed to be required for trim or not, but I had a cold start last night where I increased collective too fast and got some electrical issues. Landed. Fixed. Started flying again and my trim didn’t work and it was because my pitch and roll Ap channels were off
