  2. Well I can go back to practicing but my initial impressions were the gear have too much bounce to auto rotate. Every single time it’s like landing on a trampoline and then flipping over. Meanwhile gear up I can do just looking out the cockpit and not even paying attention to instruments Not to mention the WIP damage model seems to never give you the opportunity to autorotate

  4. Gear down or up? I just dropped collective, nosed up a bit, then pulled up on collective about 40% very close to the ground and I landed gear UP (corrected)with only a damaged wing. Gear down seemed really really dofficult to me. So since my goal is to survive I figured I’d stick with gear up for now

  6. I’m still confused though because I’ll get 3 AAA in the list but if I select the top one invariably it’s the furthest away. That’s not the highest threat
  7. Post a track file for bug reports. When you click end mission or quit or whatever, there’s a debriefing stats screen. At the bottom it says “save track.” ED needs these to more easily evaluate a bug report. that being said I think we can just troubleshoot this and it’s probably not a bug. 1) do you have “collective” axis bound and not “throttle” ? Throttle control on helos is automatic, collective is how you go and down (generally speaking). 2) in game check the movement of your virtual collective and ensure it matches movement of your physical collective. If not, you need to go to tune axis and select invert 3) does your setup work on a hot started hind? 4) in your mission set up how overweight are you? The hind can take off vertically a little overweight but if it’s really fat you have to do a rolling take off. You’ll almost always have to adjust fuel load. 5) lastly you might have missed something in your cold start. Perhaps you didn’t throttle up? Check your rpm
  8. Without looking at the track, it most likely is because you have the yaw channel on and the pedal gets stuck to the left. To land you should really disengage yaw ap, and reset trim. I can’t say one way or another if all of this is functioning correctly. I think there’s a known ap bug related to trim. Try your method again, with yaw ap on. When you “lose tail authority” lift your feet off of physical pedals and see if virtual pedals are to the left and not moving much or at all. That’s the yaw ap and pedal dampening is believe. Turn off yaw, reset trim.
  9. I’ve hit infantry with direct shots and killed them. It’s annoying and pointless. Plus the rockets aren’t great against vehicles so... save your 30 mike for light armor and soft targets, and save HE rockets for infantry

  11. Yeah bois. Been too busy learning it and enjoying it and reporting stuff that I forgot to give ya'll a compliment. It's a fantastic module.
  12. You're diving on the target and not monitoring your speed becuase you're understandably target fixated while trying to learn stuff. GENERALLY speaking I see the Hind stall (RBS) when you exceed 335 kph at lower altitudes. Either maintain a level flight at 250-300 kph when engaging, or if you want to dive a bit do a "bump" by gently pulling cyclic back to gain altitude and slow down to about 150. Then gently nose forward a bit with distance from target. Engage, then break away before you over speed or get too close.
  13. Well it might be related to the Yaw channel, but I think it's also related to having the gunner sight doors open. Not 100% sure though.
  14. I believe this is sort of the case, but I want to be able to fire just a pair of rockets. This seems impossible because most pods fire something like 6 or 8 at the lowest, and then increasing substantially when you hold weapons release longer. I'd like to be able to shoot of the pair first to check ranging, then do the full on spam-mode rocket dump. If possible.

  16. I haven't found any reference material yet on youtube but some of the rocket pods seem to only fire large bursts of rockets (ub32A24, S-8KOM, S-8KOP) , then there's one that fires pairs (S-13). Am I able to change the number of rockets fired or no?
  17. It's worth every single penny. This is a very niche hobby using extremely complicated development into simulation. The level of fidelity we get with modules like this and the other top tier modules in DCS is simply astonishing. And not only is the module expensive, but go start pricing out head tracking or VR, high end flight equipment like Virpil/VKB/Winwig/Komodo/MFG, then obviously the computer necessary to get a good experience like at least a 1080, more appropriately a 2080 or into the 3080; the newest and best CPU you can get. And you really need 32gb of ram. And then there's more money spent in mounts and other accessories to make your computer chair and desk into a comfortable sort of "sim pit." Or you could get REALLY into it and make a full on simulated cockpit with individual switches and on and on and on. This is an expensive hobby. I've increased my enjoyment of higher end peripherals over a long period of time. Saving up for a track ir 5, then mounts, computer, etc etc etc etc etc. Save up. Be patient. Enjoy the game where you're at, and work toward a better experience.

  19. Can we get some sort of indication that the pilot is dead? Especially since multicrew has a bug that destroys the helo , I don’t always know what the heck is happening lol
  20. Yeah I’m aware. Didn’t know if it would bug out or something if it’s not a preset. Or since it’s within constraints it’s fine
  21. It’s marked correct as is so I think this is how they intend it to work
  22. If it already exists I apologize. I see 4x and 8x ATGM with 2x HEAT/AP rockets, and I see a 4x ATGM with 2x HE/FRAG But I don’t recall seeing an 8x ATGM with 2x HE/FRAG. And since we’re supposed to only use presets I didn’t think I could reliably edit the loadout.
