  1. Set pagefile as it's shown below in this image and see if it helps.
  2. Had this happen to me a few times 5 or 6 weeks ago so I decided to bump my custom fixed pagefile from 16384-16384 to 32768-32768 and it hasn't happened once since.
  3. Completely revised weather, the sky is where you spend your time flying it should be done right.
  4. Boat wakes do need to be a bit stronger, reference the ones in this video as an example
  5. Just had a look at your Dxdiag, seems you have both Intel HD 4600 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M enabled at the same time, maybe DCS is choosing the lower spec Intel graphics over the preferable NVIDIA device? If so this could be the reason for your problems, try to disable the Intel graphics if possible.
  6. I haven't had time to read all through this thread but have you guys tried SLI through nVidia Inspector? Might be worth a try https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/nvidia-inspector-introduction-and-guide.403676/
  7. surface5 terrain mesh files were the bulk of the download sizes for the PG map, Caucasus and Nevada.
  8. I totally heard that in an 'Atlas' from Bioshock kinda voice :D
  9. I've already tested the mod in todays update and haven't seen any issues so far, please report back if you find anything looking wrong.
  10. 104th server updated to 2.5.3.22176
  11. DCS Open Beta 2.5.3.22176 Changelog https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3636114#post3636114
  12. Yes the mod requires to be re-installed after an update if you wish to continue using it, and I'm sure that many JSGME users run with this mod with no problems. Glad you're enjoying the textures :)
  13. Just be cautious on what you put into MSI mode, the nVidia cards are designed to make use of this mode but other hardware may brick-up if you force it to do something it doesn't like, I would be happy with your graphics card being in this mode and leave it at that :)
  14. 16gb RAM and a fast SSD and you'll be fine so long as your pagefile is configured correctly, I'd like to get 32gb soon though.
  15. There needs to be an options toggle to have cows/animals generated in DCS similar to the way it creates civilian traffic, having to place animals individually one by one in the mission editor seems a pain.
  16. It's a case of YMMV, there could be some performance enhancement but the overall benefit from this far smoother system operation due to the videocard working on it's own and not clashing with the USB or any other device in the PC.
  17. Found another old forum post regarding MSI mode https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/776850/geforce-drivers/message-signaled-interrupts-/post/4316992/#4316992 apparently MSI is a part of PCI-E and *should* be on by default, but it seems nVidia decided to go with legacy IRQ for whatever reason, seems odd as AMD card users have MSI by default.
  18. I'm on the opposite end of the scale here, I've tested max prerendered frames on application preference 1 2 3 and 4 and 1 is definitely the best on my machine, guess that's the joy of having different mixes of hardware :)
  19. Take a look at this recent post about IRQ conflicts, in particular the graphics card and USB sharing the same address https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3631069&postcount=7 this might help in your case
  20. Nice one, it's a very simple procedure once you've carried it out a few times, would be interested to see if it's improved on your system at all - for me I've noticed super stability and just smoother overall operation.
  21. Yes I did mention you need to extract the program first, running it from the archive directly is not recommended.
  22. It's as simple as ticking a box, hitting apply then restarting the PC. My 1080 was running in non MSI IRQ 16 before I did this and was sharing this address with the USB root hub which I'm sure isn't healthy, so I can personally vouch that not all cards do not already run in MSI mode. You need to download the MSI Utility from here http://www.mediafire.com/file/2kkkvko7e75opce/MSI_util_v2.zip extract the contents to a folder then double click MSI_util_v2.exe and you'll be presented with this as the instructions show in the image just click on the msi box opposite your graphics card, click apply then restart your PC, then rerun the program and verify if you're in msi mode by the negative IRQ number (mine was IRQ 16 before then -4 afterwards) you can also check the msi setting in the device manager after the restart One last thing, if you ever change or update your graphics card driver you'll need to go through this procedure again as it will default back to the standard IRQ method.
  23. Just installed these on my 1080 GTX seem fine so far, on par I'd say with the 399.24.
  24. RTX compatible drivers are now released (just installed these on my GTX 1080) v411.63 WHQL https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/geforce-411-63-whql-drivers-download-discussion.423061/
