A thread to invite the Jetseat happy users to share their favorite Simshaker profiles :D I just received mine and have nothing to share yet but I noticed that some settings customization are required to feel good :pilotfly: and strangely, I don't find such resources on the web, user download section of the DCS website and dedicated thread about it. So, I hope I don't miss it and people will be happy to share their discovery about this nice device!

IMO you should publish this bug report to the DCS 2.5 > Bug & Problems > Object Error section of the forum. This part of the forum is from my point of view not good to publish bugs related to VR because always submerged by performances issue or other kind of strange behavior, often cause by other things than DCS. Here is a good place to find answer and advices from the communauty but not as strong for serious bug report

Same issue with Rift S and water to medium. I will change the settings temporarily until fix. There are also some clouds and effects sometimes that only appear on one eye

Seems to be solved. Maybe the authentification server was not at the same version number Enjoy ;)

So much noise because in fact ED are used to release so good open beta patches than people believe today that it must be something else than a beta version... ED is not perfect as everybody but I find players at least not fair at all...

And me, I would love to have WWI planes. Definitively more than F-22/F-35 for example. It’s a great value to have planes from different era for sure :)

Thank for the thread, missed it. Misconception about Dash and HUDs in the thread but it answer the question about the HUD issue. Will be fixed in future update of DCS or Oculus drivers. Concerning Dash, it can’t be displayed in DCS as Don said.

I noticed yesterday that the Oculus HUDs to monitor the performances don’t display anymore in DCS. They are there but behind the screen so invisible. On the main menu, it’s possible to see it by looking 80 degree up. Do you have the same issue ? (running DCS open beta and oculus beta drivers)

For sure ! But having relearnt the ramp start the day before the update, I can say that it's really worse than it used to be. I try in different angles, some even strange and the only way is to spam clicks and sometimes if lucky one switch turn on... next one... next one...

Same for me (VR). I had no issue with these switches in the old pit the day before the update. Same post here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=264400 This one will be maybe more popular :)

switching to english the avionic langage drop-down list in the DCS option should help

In VR, it appears to be really hard to click the three ejection seat switches. The big cover intercept the click. It was not the case with the old pit. Do you have the same issue ? Thank you in advance, Chapa

+1 Mirage F1 will be an instant buy. However, during the wait, I have to learn the C-101 and try to join DCS Academy. I downloaded your training mission, Rudel, everything seems working with the required mods. Thank you a lot, you are one of the niciest guy on the forum :thumbup:

I must admit to be also disappointed, even if the cockpit is way better and beautiful. So thank you ED for this nice update overall. The video just let me thing that it would be again a A10C BIG WAOW effect, so the strange feeling probably.

By curiosity DST, what’s your DCS graphic settings ? We have similar computer and I can give some advices and or test with my rig if you provide the missions/test protocol and give you some feedback/fps results to compare. For sure the F18 is one of the smoother plane in VR. The F-16 is less optimized but it is way better than it was at the beginning and I am starting to have fun with it. I have no issue with the 2.5.6 in VR, maybe even better than 2.5.5. I have the feeling that shadows are less taxiing. I don’t try heavy missions, just relaxing, profiting the view and VR feeling

Applying arms opacity when the mouse cursor is on the left/right console could be a workaround. But its more important to avoid complex calculation and fps drop for this kind of nice to have features. Same idea for the throttle and stick

I never really feel the need for the VR pilot and thought it was a nice to have. But I must admit that the mirage pilot changed my thinking. It's really an amazing good job and I am already impatient to see the Harrier pilot.

You seem to be serious about your learning, you should look at DCS Academy. True pilot teach people how to fly and there is a strong cursus to follow. It doesn't answer your need about the mirage 2000 but I tend to think that they learn the most important things, knowledge transfarable to every plane. Concerning the mirage 2000, you'll find everything you need with the updated training mission soon, the already updated manual and some Youtube video like some from the Grim Repears, not always totally right but good to answer most of the question and see the topics in action. Be aware that unfortunalty, the mirage suffers some bugs and it could be the case of your misunderstanding and thinking you are wrong. Look at the post in this forum to know about them. Last advice, if you are ready to pay so much, ask to have a real pilot instructor (don't dream about a true mirage 2000 pilot however ;) DCS Academy thread link: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=254647 They have also a Discord. Yes, with the mirage, even with the « show pilot when available » checkbox enabled in the options, it doesn’t appears at the mission start and must be displayed by the key binding. Other planes start with the pilot shown at the start.

Interesting poll but with high risk to be biased in favor of VR users (at the beginning at least). - VR users have more interest to participate - But as soon as the thread will not be visible in the top, could be reversed because VR users tends to focus on their dedicated part of the forum. I'll probably try to do it soon but I am more curious about the increase of activity in the VR part of the forum, numbers of distinct registred users to extract the VR trend along the years. Growth for sure but in which extend...

The command works for me. Updated without Skatezilla but the normal way. The shortcuts have don’t changed with the update. As a reminder, the command is done with dcs.exe instead of dcs_updater.exe

The loading time is also clearly longer than before. About 1 minute from the shortcut double click to the main menu. In attachment, you'll find the DCS log, just launch the game, access the main menu and exit to desktop session. No mod installed, no vaicom, no voice attack launched, PC fully reinstalled one week ago. The game has been launched in monitor mode, but the time is the same in VR mode. The loading of the sounds seems to be the issue or the many module autorization web request maybe... Not a huge issue overall but hope it can help to reduce the loading time :) dcs.txt
