  1. Yes meteorological AFAIK states wind origin (coming from) used in PVI.... ME is in Nav stating wind direction (going to).
  2. Ok thanks EvilBivol-1.. I think i get it a bit better now :) Cheers
  3. No actually, the flight model is never compromised, what is tho is your ability to control the aircraft properly because your CPU is not able to render ALL the frames needed for it to appear like smooth flight.. Also re: "How many FPS can a human eye see" doesn't actually make sense. Its like asking how many apples does it take to change a light bulb? How many FPS do RL piolts get when flying there RL aircraft! If there was an answer to the question it would be this: infinite. You can't classify the mind with information tech terms.. OH i will be shot down for this.. haa :P
  4. DCS A-10C MP Compatibility Hello, I'm a little worried as to how compatible the A-10C module will be with BS and FC2.0 in MP. As far as i know the A-10c module will be compatible with BS. (the whole point of DCS is to have multiple high fidelity aircraft in one battlefield, right?) If FC2.0 will be compatible with BS then why this comment in the Flaming Cliffs 2.0 Upgrade FAQ: Surely the answer should be: Yes of course! FC2.0 will be compatible with all DCS modules..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And if it is, will there be FC2.0 A-10 AND DCS A-10 compatible in MP? surely this will cause a public debarcle. Will ED remove the A-10 from FC2.0 when the DCS A-10 arrives? I doubt it because this is unfair to people who only play FC2.0.... I do understand that ED will not release info about something they are not concrete on but this seems tooo fishy to me. :noexpression:
  5. Thx for ur input Frederf, Yes this is what i assume from the text in the manual also... Anyone? Bueller ?
  6. Dude you are obviously misguided. This forum is about quality: http://www.louisvuitton.com/ :D
  7. Van Halen, Iron Maiden (old stuff:D), Faith No More(1 of Fav's)... Awesome.. Looks like DCS breeds good music.. :)
  8. Hey Guys, I'm trying to find more information about the PVI-800 master mode selector switch specifically in regards to the "Sim" mode. The manual states: I can't seem to get any results from trying to use this mode. Is this an actual functioning mode in the sim? Thanks for any help in advance.. Cheers btw: apologies to Moderators- should have posted this in previous PVI thread
  9. Swedish metal  or Johann Sebastian Bach..
  10. Hey Guys, Was just looking at a youtube vid of the KA50.. At about 20 seconds into it there is some shkval footage of a vikhr spiraling into it's target.. The vikhr appears to spin/spiral a lot more violently in the RL footage, and when it strikes the shkval contrast etc get a little shock.. :D By no means is this a "why hasn't ED implemented blah blah"... Just thought this was interesting :)
  11. Maybe this is what you were after? *edit* forgot to grin.. :D
  12. BeeSting- More info needed, is there something specific about the PVI800 you wanted to know? Your question is a little vague.
  13. Yes, you don't need modman.. just manually delete and add missions.. all good ;)
  14. I think you answered your own question there.. as previously posted the AI are not inhibited by fog/cloud in DCS..
  15. Maybe Igla's now using these: http://www.flir.com/uploadedFiles/ENG_01_FOG.pdf :D
  16. I think to truly know how an igla will perform in foggy conditions you need to have more specific technical information on the type of igla used firstly and specific details on is targeting/tracking system. Also, i don't think a manpad operator needs to see the target.. If an operator heard a helo fly over he could point, wait for tone and fire. This could be wrong tho cauz i never used one..:D *edit- just did a quick google- first link: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2006/05/060503100242.htm
  17. Hey, wha, did I hear the words "Norton AV" !!:bomb: :gun_rifle: Norton.. :chair:
  18. I do not deny the fact there is a heavy workload in the KA50.. and obviously hence the HH function.. ( which is Great! don't get me wrong, i do use HH alot when needed) but when flying from A to B? or through a constant tight winding valley? Not Needed..! Why fly and bank with the trim button held down when u don't need to. Do we all fly around with our altitude hold AP on and press "F" when were at the right altitude??
  19. GOOOOOOD LUUUUUCK! :D You'll need it.. :P Need a wingman? :) Seriously tho this is excellent news!!! I didn't think it would happen.. But wait 1 sec... BS with be compatible with the A-10C module and BS soon to be compatible with FC which has an A-10.. Hmm getting a little confused how this will all piece together.. Anyone?
  20. ARM505 sums it up for me... Nice post bro ;) I agree the Heading hold function is different to the pitch/bank dampeners.. i don't recall the pitch/bank dampeners having 20% authority on the FCS. Conventional heli's are ALOT more unstable in yaw axis yet civ pilots have no problems without a "yaw dampener".
  21. Your doing every thing fine but i would disable TrackIR.. U wont need to look around as Viper will be doing it for you.. ;)
  22. It is not bad advise at all.. The heading hold is there if you CHOOSE to use it. Flying without heading hold will definitely teach you to trim the aircraft properly, and there is no need to hold trim etc when banking for turns. Player preference.;)
