  1. I don't think there is one.
  2. When using cannon in fixed position shkval can be turned on with the P key. Automatic tracking/gun sight
  3. As isoul mentions the collective brake IRL needs to be squeezed to move collective, in DCS there is no need to hold collective brake while adjusting collective as it is not modeled. In DCS the "collective brake"has a double function, to set a new alt for the Alt Hold AP. Maybe IRL when you release the collective brake new alt parameters are set for the Alt Hold AP hence why "collective brake" and "set new alt" are using the same function. AFAIK the only modeling of the collective brake in DCS is the animation on the collective stick in the cockpit. :)
  4. Did you see how the footage is sped up at about 36 seconds into the vid to make the 3D maneuvers look more extreme? Don't know why! 3D R/C Heli's are impressive regardless...! :)
  5. Thx Frazer  That last vid really cracked me up  No FAA in Rio :P
  6. Is your router allowing traffic to all PC's through port 10308? Have you forwarded this port for the server?
  7. More a maneuver used to arrest your airspeed during combat when in dire need. :) Although I couldn't say i've never used the technique for a quik landing.:P
  8. The cobra should land on the carrier np. In ME are you making the last waypoint for the cobra a landing point. Also make sure the cobra as a decent chance to orientate himself for the landing. E.g. If you spawn a cobra 100m from the carrier doing 200kph @ 500m alt, it wont land on the carrier. Rear approaches are best too i find. :) Edit: Also only some helo will land on carriers, i know the cobra does for sure.
  9. Alternate/Multipule routes can be saved... I made a training mission where you had to load up your specific flight route depending on the difficulty you were after.. 4 or so routes available in ABRIS... But yeah saving flight routes in mission is a "no go".. Would be great if this was addressed in the future.
  10. Extending on Frederf's comments, to save a flight route you need to "prepare mission" in ME. This will throw u in the cockpit where you will then be able to save routes to ABRIS DB.
  11. I have no TrackIR :D I have played with freetrack abit but really wonder about the differences in the software between it and TrackIR. btw- nice gesture, great to see. ;)
  12. Great idea!! I can visualize it.. your going tooo fast to open the cockpit door so u dispense chaff in your own cockpit!!
  13. Here's one: http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html
  14. OAT can be found in the flight plan in ABRIS.. each wpt has a temp..
  15. Looks like an external temp gauge... +5 -> -10 degrees.... This is only my guess tho :)
  16. AC voltage?
  17. EtherealN: Ok point taken. I do have alot of faith in ED & moderators ;) Cake hole shut.
  18. I'm sorry EtherealN but it don't wash with me... I am well aware of the complexity of software development as I have previously studied. My problem is that the online compatibility between the DCS modules (FC2 aside) is a MASSIVE deal and to say oh it might be compatible is down right wrong. Your association with regards to the 1.0.1 patch is far from relevant.. The time factors in which products are released will never be 100% especially for software developers, as understandable i think.. To change major intended features is another story.
  19. EtherealN, i did not intend to be aggressive, just passionate. Please help me understand this. Obviously BS and A10 will be standalone products, neither requiring the other to be playable... I did not expect anything else. Question is why the " may be compatible" ? This is my confusion.. The A-10 module will have further upgrades to the engine but not BS?
  20. I can understand ED needs to be cautious about release info as things do change... but honestly this is plain stupid...!!!!! So WTF does DCS mean? Digital Combat Series or Digital Combat Standalone? The whole point of DCS is to provide different HF aircraft (modules) all compatible in MP.. if this don't happen ED is shooting itself in the balls..
  21. No actually not... Martillo1 is right .. BAROMETER.... like he said to keep you at the same Barometric altitude...
  22. My thoughts: As Frederf mentions the "collective brake [F Key]" as such actually has no function in the sim. It's only real purpose in the sim is to set a new alt for the Alt Hold AP or held down to change alt while your Alt Hold AP is on. Also selecting either baro/radar will keep you in hover fine. Radar is usually used close to the ground, baro is obviously better at higher altitudes and especially when flyin over uneven terrain.
  23. Right mouse click on it, save link location;)
  24. :megalol:..... There' s more of us Viper! :D :megalol:
  25. Opps Yeah, you will be hard pressed to find any "D" info... AH-64A Manual is available ;)
