  1. Yes, but only using the KH25 missile.
  2. Trk's are automatically recorded and saved to your FC2\Temp folder.;)
  3. Thats exactly what i did and also used Audacity.. ;) Amp up these files in FC2\sounds\effects -Cockpit.ogg -CockpitAfterburner.ogg -CockpitSystems.ogg
  4. Congrats to ED and all involved!!! Great product!! :D
  5. Frogfoot... u defiantly have your port-10308 open on your router?
  6. AI detection of the enemy (you), can vary upon the way there setup in ME.. If they are just flying a pattern you can pretty much fly formation with them, if they are tasked with searching helo targets its a different story. Also: when attacking helo from a distance, lase em up, wait till they turn into you, then pump 2 x viks into them...(usually 8-6Km dist) they will have no chance.. They usually dont break off (which they should when u lase them) but works A1 for me whether Apache or Hind. :P
  7. I too have had this problem on occasion, it has not happened for a while but when it did ( if memory serves me correctly )it was the .7 i could not get to stick in PVI also. :noexpression:
  8. 1. Going by the picture looks like a blade strike. 2. The ELEC ACUM warning will show when your generators are offline, double check they are switched on. 3. When the weapons mode switch is in MOVE the cannon is slaved to the shkval, when in FIX it is centered and locked. This switch does not affect rockets.
  9. Try this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=47579 Look at Frederf's post, very detailed explanation. :)
  10. If you really wanted you could have alternate airfields saved in the ABRIS database as separate flight routes (but really only 1 or 2 waypoints). e.g. 1. In ME just plonk yourself at the alternative with a waypoint at the end of the runway. 2. Go to prepare mission found in the flight tab up top in ME. 3. Save your mini route in ABRIS DB. 4. Return to ME, delete the route you just made. 5. Repeat 1-4 steps with other alternate airfields you desire. 6. Now make your actual mission you want and you will be able to load the multiples of alternate airfields you desire from your ABRIS at any time. Just make sure you make at least 1 waypoint at the alternate airfields so the co-ordinates will be in the PVI.. ;)
  11. I remember another forum member mentioning they record the trk at half or quarter speed. Then with a video editor you re-record in double or quad time. :)
  12. :) Wow!! More pics please!!!!!!!!!
  13. Yeah is very cool to look at the RL pics and understand most of it :D I too wonder what the blacked out bit on the HUD is also.. hmm Notice the extra overhead panel and the number scribed on the panel below the HUD, 4809 as opposed to "our" production KA50 4808. :)
  14. Hi All, Here is an awesome site with some up close pic's of the KA-50, i'm sure it's been posted before, i thought i'd re-post for any1 who hasn't seen.. Well worth a look. ;) Some interesting mods to the cockpit also. Cheers http://walkarounds.airforce.ru/avia/rus/kamov/ka-50/index.htm
  15. Excuse me? How do you come up with a $price$ on an innocent civilian casualty?
  16. If you look at the second part to the clip : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0kOfRaTsYs&feature=related you will see some minor differences in cockpit, this is obviously a slightly different KA-50 (minor mods, not sure). I assume this is why the HUD symbology is different. This clip shows the HUD of the production KA-50 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEHJc1pTkHc&feature=related Cheers
  17. AFAIK Route Mode will only follow your Nav points/Waypoints on the PVI-800 only.
  18. Notice how you don't hear the gear come up ? Or is that the sound of the gear @ about 2:23 in the vid? The blade flapping sounds so sweet:P
  19. Unicorn0578, I made a quick trk for you to observe. But a couple of tips first. 1- Try to keep your inputs to the cyclic and collective smooth, in general helo's are slow to respond to inputs so keep it smooth is very important. 2- Trim when you are trying to maintain the helo's attitude in level flight, try not to trim when banking. In my trk.. I used a couple of different ways to maintain a constant altitude bank. Firstly when I take off, trim for level flight (check Verticle Air Speed Ind) and turn on Alt Hold, I turn off Heading Hold and use cyclic and rudder for a smooth turn while maintaining altitude. Its important to be smooth on inputs especially cause the Alt Hold AP only has a 20% authority on the collective inputs. In the next banking turn I leave the Heading Hold ON but while maintaining my turn I hold the trim button down. Help this helps in some way. Smoother Flight.trk
  20. Now your avatar makes sense... :megalol: Did software development many years ago...:P It's a brain bender without doubt.. :)
  21. Weapons sys should be left in auto unless u need an out of range shot, or if you want to use HMS gun tracking while using vikhrs also. Mustang nailed it - Automatic tracking/gun sight switch (key P) won't let u fire vikhr if the gun is slaved to the HMS
  22. You will see a bolt running through the two plates, adjusting the nut will vary the tension of the collective lever. ;)
  23. The volume control keys are for the R-828 radio not the R-800.
  24. The cost for me is minimal as its materials i have lying around at home... I would estimate the cost to be no more than $10 US dollars... The aluminum pieces are off cuts from a ali supplier, they usually throw them out.. The potentiometer is $1 or so...
  25. HI All, I recently had the idea to make myself a collective stick and thought i'd share my idea. My idea is quite simple- rewire the thottle potentiometer in my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro into a collective stick which I would manufacture. I set about to manufacture a simple collective assembly (for now) and to test the idea. As you can see in the pic's it's nothing fancy just a main frame RHS (25x50mm)with 2 plates rivited to support the collective stick( 25mm Tube). A cotter pin is driven through the support plates and the collective stick, making sure the cotter pin binds on the collective stick and not the supporting plates allowing the cotter pin to rotate with the collective. Now it's a matter of making the collective rotate a potentiometer, I did this using some spare parts from R/C servo horns, which worked out quite well. Atm moment I need a 100K pot to properly replicate what is existing in the Logitech but for testing purposes I used a 50K pot.. Results were great, even with a 50K pot I was getting 85-90% of the thottle/collective range. I will have to further test as i'm out of 100K pots atm... Darn it! Further down the track you could possibly relocate all the buttons at the base of the joystick to the collective. This can be done with any joystick with a throttle/collective slider. Basic electronics knowledge would be recommended. Hope i've given some ideas for a cheap collective assembly. :D
