  1. I'm planning on suing the navy and mcdonell dougles for stupidity, but I need to word it better to build a solid case. I will update you on further progress Sent from my SM-T530 using Tapatalk
  2. Maybe someone with RL knowledge will chime in, all I can add is... this discussion was brought up long ago in the forum, I guess a search will throw some results, but back to the topic, the consensus back then FTTOMH was, night vision gear mostly used in fighters are focused to infinity making difficult or impossible to read instruments, and it was not common practice to change focus setting while in flight (if that is even possible for the type of equipment/model). Most recent NVG are able to autofocus but definetely not the ones we have simulated. The other point was, due to the nvg being separated from the eye, it allowed pilots to "peak down" to read instruments without needing refocus.
  3. Well, it is very plausible addition to the so called "red side" even though pakistan is a NATO allied. I think many MP servers will add it as a Chinese asset.
  4. As far as I see the OP is stating a totally valid concern regarding substantial differences in performance against "supposed" RL performance, this needs at least investigation. You Raijin, on the other hand, seems to be only a troll. So please let the grown ups discuss. Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  5. As I see a Full fidelity F15C is a new module, meaning that anything that existis for the F15 FC3 will stay as is, in fact it is a totally different product. I do think there are market for both since a lot of people prefers the more "gamey" approach and simplistic system that you find in the FC3 F15. Of course it is possible to convert content but this is in no way different to how some people have remade existing missions and campaign to different birds. I know many people think that the F15C is not the more needed full fidelity module now, and I agree somehow, but for sure I would love to see it at some point in time. Also I think that new modules like the JF17 will somehow make up for the lack of REDFORCE fighters, more so if the chinese stable grows more.
  6. Why dont you start your wishlist thread then? Are they mutually exclusive? Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  7. Best advice is to use Tacview to assess what you did wrong after each fight. As a rule of thumb you need to position yourself such that you are between friendly forces and the enemy, and you clearly understand towards which direction you need to disengage, such that you force the enemy to go towards friendly Aircrafts and SAMs. It seems a stupid comment but you dont know how easy you are so disoriented that you end up being isolated, fighting against several bandits, or fighting over enemy SAM coverage. So start as easy as possible, you enter an enemy SAM zone, or AC controlled zone, you just go quick for an attack, launch and once you missile is active you RUN towards friendly zone again and you start building the SA again.
  8. Your bug report is a bit difficult to process. Why the 120c in the title? I guess you are referring to the radar bug that makes acm modes or stt lock to pick farther targets instead of closer ones if they are at roughly the same azimuth? I think they will implement the range gate soon (wip), this will avoid such behavior. Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  9. This would be a levely module for me to have. Everytime I fly the FC3 F15C I think how awesome would it be to have a full fidelity fighter, with all its radar modes, datalink, JHMCS, AIM9x... wow it would be so nice. I really hope this is just a case of when rather than if, and I hope you guys also let us know if you'd like it or not. I have other priorities of course (DC, engine, vulkan...), but for sure this would bring a smile to my face. PD: If we have an F15E I would also buy it instantly, but there is something about the semi analog F15C cockpit that i've always loved, so I want them All!!!!
  10. I always go full realism so everytime my virtual pilot dies the accounts also dies and I start another one. Right now Im using my 34th account since I joined in 2001. Nahh just kidding XD, this is my only account and I´m well served.
  11. I think this will happen also Sent from my SM-T530 using Tapatalk
  12. I dont think they evolve item 1, they just make sure that what is working does not break, which is not bad either, given what they already have. Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  13. The thing is... i love my warthog joystick and layout/qty of buttons. Its in the throttle department where i feel i can get a better HW (only if at a reasonable price, i'm not throwing 1K to a piece of metal and cables). Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  14. But according to your description that is not how the system is behaving currently. Quoting you on this: "The RAID/FLIR (long press or hold) via the HOTAS control should still command the optical change of the Litening pod image, even if the Maverick is selected, as long as the DDI currently displaying the FLIR image is set as SOI - but the FOV funcion will not be allowed to command from the HOTAS." Right now selection of Maverick on the store page is disabling the optical change, which should not, and it is disabling the FOV function, which is aparently correct.
  15. Ok, so I did a bit more testing. It turns out that HOTAS commands works as far as the AGM65E is deselected, so if you deselect the A2G master mode and after that you deselect the AGM65 from the store page, then the RAID/FoV button retake all its functionality, even changing field of view and of course going from CCD to FLIR mode. On the other hand, the moment you enter A2G mode again and select the AGM65E, even without entering the seeker page, you loose again the functionality. So I guess that is a good enough workaround for me.
  16. It has changed, i was trying yesterday in a MP session and it was not working. Everything was set up correctly and TGP page was SOI. I will try again just in case it was an error on my side, which is totally possible. Or i might just discovered a bug in MP, who knows :). I'm ok if i can just change CCD to FLIR with a long press. Changing from wide to narrow is also nice but not so critical. Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  17. I know that, My request is regarding exclusively the HOTAS functionality (RAID/FoV button). Sent from my SM-T530 using Tapatalk
  18. This a kind request for further research regarding Raid/fov button functionality with laser maverick and TGP on. As of now, carrying laser maverick disable all raid/fov button functionality over the TGP meaning that you cant increase the FoV (narrow to wide) but you can't neither change from CCD to Flir mode. It's difficult to understand that such behavior is true also for laser mavericks, specially the inability to change from CCD to FLIR mode. Is it possible to have a second look at that? Thanks in advanced, Sent from my SM-T530 using Tapatalk
  19. I would be interested but actually more in the range of virpil level of quality and price. Around 300€ is ok for me, 1000€ is too much to be interested. Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  20. That's interesting. However right now the viper radar I would say it has the same detection range of the 73, or really really close to it. I can't say i've seen any difference at all. I hope ED tune all that to be as close to RL as possible. It would not make much sense that the viper ends with same detection range of a plane with a bigger antena diameter and higher average emission power. I guess its just WIP.
  21. This was a lovely read. First time we have something like an estimate date for DC. Ok its 2021 but that does not seem so far away.
  22. Let me start saying that I would love to see the AMPCD with the MAP on better, for sure, so any tweak or improvement will be very welcome from my end. That said and regarding the proofs you show: -I think the biggest factor that makes the A10C AMPCD much more readable is the fact alone that all font contrast against a black background, making it so much easy for the eye. -The picture of the AMPCD as seen from the pilot perspective does not clarify anything, since we can't read there to compare, a"better picture" is needed if we want to make use of it as a benchmark. -I`ve read somewhere; FTTOMH it was in this very same forum, that RL hornet pilot did remove the moving map in many occasions due to these readability problems we experience. Maybe its another bad design principle of the us navy, along with their poor HOTAS design when compared to their USAF homonyms, who knows...
  23. +1 Enviado desde mi SM-G950F mediante Tapatalk
  24. I don't know how you guys see it, but for me this little #first_world_problems we see around here are also part of the fun.
