  1. In addition the HOTAS throttle (your X65) must be at minimum, the key combination will not work if the throttle is at anything other than min. Hope this helps
  2. I think he ment 'wait for the sixth beta' not the sixth of feb
  3. 1) You need to open the controller properties page in Windows control panel - 'Devices and Printers'. 2) Then Right Click on the Warthog Throttle and select 'Game Controller Settings' this will pop up a new window. 3) Then select the throttle from the list and press 'properties' 4) Then ensure that no lights are lit (ie no buttons are pressed) you will need to toggle a few switches to turn off some of the lights. 5) Now you should be able to press a button on the throttle in Teamspeak or the Track IR software and have it detected. Note: repeat 3,4, and 5 with the HOTAS to assign a button from the stick Hope this helps Tom
  4. My monitor is only capable of 60Hz refresh, and I have to have V-sync forced on othewise I get terrible tearing (even with MaxFPS set to 60)
  5. Can't be done as far as I know, just keep adding until you reach markpoint 'Y' then you will start at 'A' again and over write. Tom
  6. Congratulations to the both of you. Tom
  7. If you use andvanced radio you can still comunicate using the other two radios. simply use the radio switch on the throttle to select another radio. Let me give you an example... JTAC on 31 FM Flight on 251 UHF AWACS on 144 AM Press the HOTAS radio button back to talk to the JTAC , sign on with JTAC and recieve 9-line... Next you decide you want to talk to your wingman. Press HOTAS radio button down and call wingman on UHF. When you have finished with you wingman you wish to get a picture from the AWACS. Press HOTAS radio switch forward to talk to AWACS. Then to continue to talk to the JTAC press HOTAS mic button back and you should be able to continue where you left off. Look in the manual for the Mic keypresses. Hope this helps.
  8. Not quite getting you. DMS left long is broacast SPI, what are we looking for?
  9. I've just flown this top training mission 3 times in a row. With 3 safe landings, (the first was a bit long and I nearly ended up on the grass) My first successful instrument only approaches in A10, I feel like I have really accomplished something tonight! However I did notice that the AOA meter got stuck and was no help what so ever. EDIT: now off to try it with hud in standby mode and no MFCDs
  10. below the baralt gauge there is a small knob, twiddle this with the mouse wheel to set the correct pressure QFE? QNH? (inside the alt dial is a small window with numbers, these change as you twiddle the knob, when the ATC says QFE 28 set it to 2800
  11. No need to scroll around and hook the bullseye, just hook yourself, or any POI, then switch to CUR-.BULL or BULL->CUR the positional readout will change as you move the cursor around, when you have located the target you can mark the spot (TMS Up short) and make it SPI (TMS up long)
  12. you need to hook something, even the little aircraft symbol representing you, then use OSB18 (I think) to select CUR-> BULL or BULL ->CUR then where ever you move the crosshairs you will have the distance and bearing to/from the bull. Hope this helps Tom
  13. No , however if you run out (you reach 'Y') then they will be overwritten starting from 'A'. 'Z' is a special case which marks the location of the last weapons release.
  14. TMS short aft when TAD is SOI
  15. I think the medal selection depends on your choice of country, eg select UK and you get BEM etc
  16. Air brake switch is on the throttle between the boat switch and the mic switch, The Intercom system panel (rear left panel) is a single interface between you and the various navigation and radio systems in regards to their audio input/output. While each of these navigation and radio systems has their own audio (volume) controls, the Intercom panel overrides their settings. Additionally, the Intercom panel can control the volume level of tones associated with LASTE such as pull up, altitude, etc. and it allows communication with ground crew (needed for arming and refueling your aircraft).
  17. if you have a 32bit operating system you will only have the 32 bit executable installed. So in short, don't worry use either of the installed icons, (single player or multiplayer)
  18. your most welcome
  19. you need to make sure the pinky switch on the throttle is set to its 'aft' position. (LCTRL + P) then you can manually set the lights. It mid position is 'all lights off' and forward is 'default lights'
  20. I simply mapped the rotary to zoom in the axis section of the options menu. and set the saturation slider to about 50%, so that when zoomed out fully it didn't make it look like I was peering through a fish eye lens.
  21. It's seems to be the default assignment on my system. No weird textures either. It simply turns on the jammer if a threat has been detected.
  22. CMS push button toggles the ECM between stand-by and off
  23. you could always use differential throttle control to maneuver in the yaw axis
  24. On a similar note, does anyone have any tips on how to locate those pesky SAM sites that keep spiking me? The RWR gives a rough idea of the bearing and the type of threat but I often can't locate them until I see the launch, at which point my focus is on evasive maneuvers and 'bravely running away' dispensing chaff/flares ECM... after which I am usually still none the wiser to the damn SAM's position. Using the wingman to engage air defenses sometimes works, and I can mark his SPI on the TAD, however this is often a 'one shot deal' as he is very brave but rather foolish and more often than no gets shot down. Any tips would be gratefully received. Cheers
