I run DCS at 1600x1200 on all high. Go figure. But I meant that graphics aren't the most important thing. When you can have both graphics and realism its perfect. And for it's time F4 had good / great graphics. Besides LockOn, DCS and FSX Flight sims aren't the prettiest games of all time. Sure back in the 90's and later they were but not now. We can turn this into one giant pissing contest if you want.

Doesn't this post pretty much defeat the purpose of not starting a string of "sour" comments? Graphics aren't the most important thing. If they were I would be flying Air-Quake. Even if Falcon is ancient its still the most realistic F-16 simulator out there and as close as you can get to the real aircraft. A real simmer doesn't care about graphics. Obviously you don't know that much about the Falcon community...I would get a flame suit on. If this aggravates you why post in this thread?

I was being sarcastic. But I'm guessing, going with the whole theme of Chinese aircraft, is that it's pretty much just Russian avionics translated into Chinese and called something else. Performance wise I have no idea...I didn't think that cheap aircraft could hold up in BFM:megalol:

Just use the gun to make a clearing and land wherever you want (As long as its flat.) Did the A-10 operate via FARP runways in the desert or road during ODS?

I don't condone illegal stuff because I am a completely legitimate citizen and I have no interest in illegal things. I am in no way one the worlds largest arms smugglers and I don't have a major market in obscure countries. Those crates in my garage next to the Su-27 aren't guns...there uh vegetables. The DVD has some cool things like the JAWS, Strafing, PIM, PE and PoC that would be extremely interesting.

Carrier Operations / Anti-Shipping Flew some blue-water operations the other day and had some fun. SG was angry that he was flying with such an ugly skin. "But you blend in with all of that blue." He didn't buy it and decided to skirmish the Su-33's while they were refueling and rearming on the carrier. I saw him coming in (He took out the other two pilots) and did an emergency launch with my wings barely out when I got off the boat. Turned around and tested the guns on the Shark and he definitely blended in with the blue when he blew up :D

Yeah same. I've been using it for around six years. I have something like 100+ games and besides the rare busy content server I haven't had any problems with it.

My dream module? F-14D. Hornet by mandate, Tomcat by choice ;) I wonder if I get every Tomcat association and every Felix pilot, crew, etc and somehow smuggled in a F-14 from Iran to the ED Headquarters, even though I obviously don't do anything like that since I am a law abiding citizen and have never smuggled weapons and this is in no way my current project, you guys would do a Tomcat module. Actually just give me something that is carrier capable and I'm happy. But for now just get that A-10 released.

The F-16 may be a brilliant multi-role aircraft but for CAS I'd take an A-10 any day over any aircraft. AH-64? F-16C 52+? Su-25t? Go ugly early :) I think the F-16 is better suited for other roles such as SEAD / DEAD, CAP, Precision Strike, Interdiction, NTISR and I just don't see it flying CAS or being a true FAC aircraft as an A-10C would dominate that role. Also you can't argue with the gun when it comes to CAS.

RTFM / DTFT? I always read the manual, do the training and try to apply what I've learned into practice. More of a trial and error but the training in the first DCS helped out. The training for the Warthog should be awesome.

Spend a couple minutes playing CSS or another FPS and you will see the beauty of the internet. But as Viper said the flight sim community is much more mature than the average FPS community. Shame about having your kid in the server with those kinds of comments. He'll be able to curse like you in another few months :D

I can see where this one is going...and yes Ethereal that quote is forever misquoted. I also didn't think that the A-10 used napalm. You could however just jettison the fuel tanks from a high enough altitude.

Like someone said earlier in the thread, with all the realism that they put into the Ka-50 it will probably be the same amount if not more than for the A-10.
