I put a ex-Iranian F-14 Tomcat on their doorstep but they didn't do anything. Do you know how much work was involved trying to get that thing there? I spent half the year just going through logistics. It's not my problem you can't move it. Who needs the front door anyways? Wait...I probably got the wrong address.

It's the internet. One of the first things you should have learned kid is that everything on the internet is obviously true because everyone is an expert. Everything is true. This mean's A-10's are carrier capable, F-15C's can fly around in full-afterburner all the time, Russia has the greatest Air Force that has ever existed and has absolutely no problems what so ever and the F-16 is obsolete.

All. All users.

Why are you wishing them Merry Christmas? You are wasting precious development time by even viewing this ED slav...employees. Slavemployees. Yeah that's it. Get back to work or you will get the whip again! Merry Christmas ;)

DCS:Viper Mark II No classified information problems, government oversight or that crap. Also show me a Su-27 or F-15C that can rotate 180 degrees vertically in .35 seconds.

What about the IR bombs / rockets?

1 x LITENING 1 x AIM-9 1 x ECM 2 x AGM-65H 2 x GBU-12 2 x GBU 38 1 x WP Pretty much covers the spectrum for CAS, Interdiction and Sandy.

Russian planes interrupt U.S.-Japan exercise
vrv replied to asparagin's topic in Military and Aviation
So this goes from Russia wanting to hang out during a US / Japanese exercise to friendly fire incidents in Iraq / Afghanistan? -
Not necessarily at night but early morning / late evening also the geezers and kids Saddam put out on the front lines weren't exactly the most brilliant so it wouldn't surprise me if they had tried it. I wasn't saying that they were launched at night just that one of the Hog pilots commented that theoretically you might be able to see the flash.

Awesome work. :D

If I remember correctly Hogs had the most problems with MANPADS during Operation Desert Storm. If you were lucky and it was at night you might spot the flash of the launcher but besides that there wasn't anything else. I know of at least three or four pilots shot down by Iraqi MANPADS. As for the Hog < MANPAD debate sure if I'm in its play area. But when I am at 13,000 ft. Helenkova and her MANPAD arsenal can't really do anything. If you know where they are at a GBU will solve that problem. ;) I always run CMS programs while ingressing and egressing though regardless of whether it's a gun run, bomb run, etc.

The wives / girlfriends / prostitutes / afairees can tell when the pilot in question has shot the gun because of the smell of gunpowder, depleted uranium and dead tanks.

A F-14 Tomcat and MiG-29 mixed together...a F-16 that looks like a freaking Eurofighter...It's like HAWX except less realistic!

Where did they say this?

Nice screenshots. Check out the A-10C Screenshot threat for some others.

I found a hi-res of the A-10 sitting on the tarmac at sunset somewhere. It's a beautiful pic. They were working on some technical problems with the avionics. I think it's near the end of the manual.

I'm guessing you weren't flying when Janes F-18, F-15E, Falcon 3/4, etc. were out? Just to get to this level of graphics in a sim is a dream. Not everyone can handle high-end graphics and even though some can they would rather dump the graphics down for performance. If you want the whole theatrical deal go play Apache or Hawx...;)

If I remember correctly the unit that allowed the A-10 to be modeled was using the LITENING II...

People keep saying that in order to simulate a two seater you have to make it multiplayer only, etc. or that it's just impossible. Even if it's in Beta look at the AI JTAC interaction / integration. With some work the WSO or driver could be simulated by AI. Also just remember that because an aircraft is currently in use or is newly upgraded doesn't mean that it won't be an option for future modules. The A-10C is advanced and has the newest avionics while currently playing a vital role on the battlefield. If the users of the aircraft want a sim and approach ED I would say that anything can be simulated. Now whether it's a realistic and definitive future module is up to debate and speculation. I severely doubt that the F-22/A or JSF will be in DCS but it isn't impossible.

Again I have a friend in Iran who can help us out with the F-14. It will take a few months to get it to wherever ED want's it...but I will only agree if ED make me Lord Inquisitor of Eagle Dynamics with a corner office. Carmel Moore also has to be my secretary.

Do you have the fuzing set to both or the tail, etc.?

Class! Great work I was waiting for one to come out. This is definitely going to help.

Which series / model of AGM's or GBU's have a camera in the seeker? Sometimes in footage the video feed stays after it's pickled. It's not the most economic idea of all time and I doubt it's still in use but I've been wondering which munitions had this capability. I'm guessing legacy Mavs and Paveway's.
