What would you consider the most lethal of the unguided A-G (minus tac-nukes) options for the MiG-21bis? S-24? S-5? Gunpods? Or are iron-bombs still the best bet? What about the cluster bombs are they worth it at all? Because the RBK-250 on other planes are fairly ineffective and require a precise altitude and descent rate and angle to be actually useful. :joystick:

True, I'll have to re-run the mission but I do recall being at 94% power at the time of engagement so I don't think I was rolling in too hot. Maybe enough for the seeker to track me, but I was under the impression the R-13 was rear aspect only. Also, since the R-13 is in the game it would be nice to be able to throw them on MiG-23s, Su-17s, and Su-25As. I know the .lua files can be changed and what not, but it'd be great to have them by default. :D

Hush. :lol: Dolphin, I did a quick skrim with the MiG-21 and noticed the R-13 was able to track and kill me from a head on aspect in an F-15. Is this correct? Also, the MiG is BEAUTIFUL and I can't thank you guys enough for your hard work. The MiG-21 is by far my favorite aircraft to ever fly in aviation history, and to be able to fight her and soon to yank her stick around just makes my day. :joystick:

So to make a fairly long and non-related story short and related I'm seeing a woman that works where I work for an ISP. Solid 9/10, nice head on her shoulders, seems pretty down to earth, and pretty interested in me as well. We talk a lot and have seen each other a few times after work but it wasn't anything really serious just friendly conversation. Well yesterday after work we go get a few drinks and start discussing what our dream jobs would be and all that and after asking her what her's would be, she gives me the answer that her dream job would want to be a fighter pilot. I nearly choked to death on the appetizer we had. I asked her "You want to be a fighter pilot? Fly fast jets and all that jazz?" Her answer was priceless. "Well not like Top-Gun. It's a great chick flick, but not what actually happens." She then asks me what mine would be. I simply say "Well you're not going to believe it, but a fighter pilot." I invited her back to my place and once we get there she see's the X-52 Pro on my desk and immediately hops in my chair. I load up DCS A-10C and she goes bananas. We drink a little more and she stays the night... :music_whistling: Guys.. what the shit...? I do believe DCS helped in me getting some tail. Is this real life? :joystick:

It's obvious the MiG-21 is going to have to be used in a shoot and scoot manner, however considering the level of countermeasures these planes carry your best bet is going to be the R-60. Of all the missiles available for the Bis the R-60 has the best ECCM systems and honestly unless you get the jump on someone and quickly fire a couple of them and get out of dodge I feel you won't survive in the modern setting against 4th generation fast movers. My goal is honestly to just make A-10A/C pilots day rough. Maybe with a lot of high altitude top cover come in low and pounce on BluFor stragglers more focused on BVR but otherwise I don't see the MiG-21 being all that effective unless they have the numbers advantage.

Would it be possible to know how they do or is that exclusive to regulars?

What kind of RWR will our MiG have? What about ECM options? Would the MiG-21 have any kind of missile warning system?

I just want to say I've been supporting your team and the MiG-21 since it was a mod for FC 1.12. I just hope when it's released it is the best product that can be delivered. Do what you guys do so I can throw money at you and fly this sweet plane.

That still doesn't mean the issue isn't an issue that needs solved. Beta or not it needs addressed. I've also noticed that when putting the F-15C in auto pilot at higher speeds will cause the plane to roll back and forth. You have to reset the trim for it to be fixed but it's a mild PITA.

But chastising him on how to spend his own money makes you any better? Seriously, some people have the money to buy outlandish things, things they don't need, but they still can. Some buy cars, some buy houses, some buy property, and some buy computers. Sure, he probably could have done much better with his money, but why do you care? It's not your money, you didn't earn it. He did. Machinist envy is no reason to jump on someone because they made a purchase, or two, that you can't.
