Actually it is directly their fault. They are licensing the "technology" for lockon....hence it's their responsiblity to fix it and not ignore starfart questions. To be fair also.... I have also see these types of errors if you've tried to block or disable your PATA CD drive channel....

Leave lockon alone (i have the cd version) uninstall starfart using their removal program reboot. goto device manager. click view, show hidden devices. There is one more starfart driver there. Right click and remove it. reboot start up lockon... this just happened to me also... this was the fix for me.

try booting (xp I'm guess) up and disable any startup programs start....run... msconfig.exe ... and you should be able to figure it out from there. This should allow you to figure out if it's another proggy or not that is causing the problem (short of virus/adware/spyware problems) and if none of this is the case...maybe it's driver versions issue? What is your exact hardware?

Bumping for someone at ED to please provide feedback. Remember.. I am not complaining about Starforce itself, but merely a setting. Since ED licenses this technology.. they can pretty much implement it any way they see fit...right? So why not set the drivers to startup "On Demand" instead of "Boot" . It is a choice in Device Manager.. but us legitiamate end users cannot change it. (NOT remove starforce..but change when it loads)

Ice.. with all due respect...I vehemetly disagree. I simply equate starforce to the same strong arm tactic that RIAA is doing. Notice also ED never answered my NON INFLAMATORY question about ED implementation of Starforce. Question was simple.. polite.. thought out... but was "missed".

This is exactly what I"ve been imagining for quite some time but just gave up because ED said no support is available for it. If you can get this to work (at least in concept) then it's a dual PCI-E x16 setup for me. Can't anyone with a SLI setup test this out (borrow two monitors for a proof on concept)?

On the F15 quick fly mission.. the M25 was clearly infront of me but the MIG25 RWR signal was clearly at my six. (he was infront 20+nm) ALso.. When I shot it down... the RWR signal remained ... (behind me still) I was just attribuiting this to a version miss match... but now.. I'm not so sure.
