Yes. You will see the borders of the monitors at the very least. (unless of course if you have projectors). Does anyone know the aspect ration for 1920x1080?

Hi Evil... I would think flashing the DVD drive does make sense..since StarForce is known to have problems with certain (older?) drives... The whole point of his rant, was that it effects everything and not just a particular game.

I just tested this and i appears to be a intial install problem. After uninstalling the Starforce driver... alt-tabing out was instantaneous... (the uninstall did mess up my raxo perfectdisk deframenter software and running repair fixed it) Reinstalled SF and now... alt-tabbing out to the desktop is fast again (at least with FEAR since it's also a memory hog) With Lock there is a noticable difference now... When quitting the game... the system would appear to hang for about 15 secs...... now after reinstalling StarFarce... it is very quick to exit out. Alt tabbing out to desktop is also now.. very quick (as it should be). So I thinks it's safe to say the article I posted to.. the gent was a bit more ticked off about non-information than facts ( I have never had a problem burning anything either)

Check this little StarFarce experience out. His particular problem may be small...but in principle he is 110% correct. I post this link ...not to start the Starforce=Satan stupidity.. I will say for the record ..for me... there has been no problem except for the huge delay when alt-tabing out of the game to resolve a quick problem. And I just thought it was windows. Now I'm going to check this out...

Your Vid card setting should have a full screen 3d settings. I tried that and it worked well (ATI ) What you can do depends on your vid card...

and that's why it was removed during the 1.01 release if I remember right. It didn't really bother me back then.. but they way the pop in and out now is frankly annoying.. but playable. (this would be another setting choice in the menu screen I was talking about) Graphic setting are also very simplified and should have the user more choices for it's settings. Doing it the M$ way is just .... annoying.

Simple change? ... Ok ... here's one. How about a simple shell/screen that would do all TEXT settings modifications. for example: Force Feedback Yes No Hud Color Value, Value, Value Head View Turning Range - Value, Value LOD ranges (not using modman/loman) Fog ranges..so building fade in..not pop in. \etc...etc...etc..

For you network card properties.. turn off power managment. (In either device manager or network properties)

Post you problem on the saitek forums... they usually respond within the day... (there is also newer drivers available ...see the news forum)

There used to a calibrate..now there isn't and it's by design... I set all the objects to high... yes very cool... but fps suffered. but that annoying pop in of some building still exists..... (isn't there a way to put that back to fade in?) I just read your sig.. does your sata wd drive show up as a usb also? Is DMA enabled? I have the straight A8N-E and my sata appears as a usb drive and even tho bios is set to DMA enabled some software that I have say's DMA doesn't exist for the drive.... (using nforce4 AMD chipset driver 6.7) (yet I didn't have this problem with my Asus P4P800-E mb.)

Ok I did that With LOD to max and standard.. (using Fraps) Max LOD: low 10fps Max 45 avg 27 regular LOD Settings low 20 max 55 avg 30 But I gotta admit this is confusing... I did this with the AI doing the track that criss cross the city. I'll post what it is when I fly it next....

I've had the v3pro with vector expansion for about 6 months now.. works great.... I do have a small situation where theres is a lamp on the other side of the room behind me...but I can make an adjustment in the 3pro software or just move the lite a little (it's a small flex neck reading light). Otherwise...I've not had one problem with it. The only thing I wish Naturalpoint would do is bind the "looking around" in FPS games like COD2..etc.. If I was the first time out...do the v4 and be current....don't save 20buck just to be obsolete in 2 months.

I think it's more for the chinese... they've been beating their own chests as of late...

?? you're trying to compare real life against a sim??? :rolleyes: It will take another 10 years before a competing nation can come close to this bird.. Just like the F15.. it took 10 years before 27 was rolled out (and 29 a few years later?) We come out with a AIM9 ...and a few weeks later.. voila...another country has it.. Dam..we come out with a Chevy and the chinese will copy it.....exactly. I'm not saying the usa comes out with everything then everyone copies it.. but jeez... comparing a game that's not even right and compare it to reality?
