Here's a question that obvious to ask... Why can't they just generate a new number when there is a confirmation / verfication of sale? seems rather easy to me....

It is invariably linked or will soon be... fair use is being redefined over and over again to the point it's being blurred. Look at dusty's post on this very same thing.. Fair use doesn't exist in Corporation EULA.

I agree, but I think its way overdue.... Many times (here in the states) laws are passed for the benefit of corporations and not the consumer / citizen.....

It's not spyware.. It's a server side program. Tom's Hardware guide uses it also. (he even explains it) (BTW.. I think it's idiotic also, but corporations are....well.. corporations)

On a followup question: The CD's that are to be purchased are updates to the 1.0 and includes the four seasons......are the movies included or are they only available to those who download from the ED site? no big deal either way... just curious...

Has some one from ED acknowledge this issue to investigate?

Actually here in the US, you are wrong.. but as I said.. I can live with this. The premise is simple: A customer purchases a license. If the media goes bad...Will the software maker provide a replacement? - No - So backups are allowed here. There is no expiration date for licensed for software. (YET!) A user does not have the right to break the protection scheme either... So like most laws , there is conflict where ever money is involved when the customer gets the advantage. ...anyway.. I don't want to get into a pissing contest over this....

I know it's a different version. As Long as it doesn't install any software and/or disable or mess with any IDE ports, then I can live with the CD thing. Even tho it violates my right as a US citizen to make backups, I can live with it -- if it JUST does a CD check. I won't go into it further. I've voiced my opinion on this matter already. Rekol - posting links to a crack site is not allowed... better edit it before you get DMUTED! ( by DMUT + ED -- get it? dmuted? har har! :D )

Reviewing the commands, I noticed there doesn't seem to be a thing for the VFD and RWR screens... Are the MFD/VFD and RWR screens exportable?
